Out of the Loop/RFID/Fast Pass Questions

Hi All,

I am really out of the loop with the changes at WDW as we went to DL this summer (Loved it!)

We are going to WDW in February and staying at BWV. I plan to purchase AP's as Christmas gifts and am wondering if I will need the actual tickets to make FP reservations? Or is is done by room reservations?

To confuse matters, we will be staying at POR for two nights prior to arrival at BWV. Can these reservations be linked? Is the new fastpass for everyone or just in a testing phase? If testing, is there an expected time for it to begin for all resort guests?

I think Fast Pass+ is still in the testing phase(as least it was when I was a WDW in August). I don't know if an actual date has been released for when everyone can use MDE to make fast pass reservations. You can still get fast passes, but you will need to go to each kiosk in the park to do so.

You can link your reservations in MDE, but you may need help from Disney to do it. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. You should be able to go into MDE(My Disney Experience), put in your reservation numbers, and each reservation come up. You would also need to do the same with your dining reservations if they don't show up.

I have these same questions- we are going in November, 1 night AOA then 4 nights BWV. Wondering what will happen but haven't figured it out yet. Have my BWV and dining on MDE, trying to link my park passes an it isn't working yet. Going to try to add AOA today. If I figure anything out I will post back for you. I'm inclined to go the old way this trip just because I'm used to it and this is supposed to be a laid back adults only trip. But I would like to score a TSM FP and the only way we are going to get one is using FP+ I think. Sigh.... Seems like a lot of work to figure it out!
