Our "Wonder"-ful cruise trip report....finally completed

We have scheduled papasailing already at CC if we bring our own snorkling gear are there any good spots to snorkel on your own?

Thanks for taking the time to share your trip. Great report.

Snorkeling on your own::

Yes, on the family beach there is a designated area for snorkeling and you can use your own equipment. You will need a vest which is free to use for everyone. This is the area where you will find the sunken Mickey......and reefs, fish, etc. You will need fins!

Thanks for your great report! We have decided to this stingray excursion as well. Do you have any pictures you can post? Also, is there a photo opportunity there or you need to bring your own camera?
Thanks again!!

My dd smiling at me numerous times and saying, "Mom, we have got to do this again!"

DS also thanking me for the many hours I spent researching and planning the cruise and talking about "next time"!

There are so many more....but to those of you dreaming of or planning your first cruise........ the moments with your family are truly priceless.

You're kids sound precious and you almost made me teary! We can't wait for our WONDERful cruise in only 24 more days. I'm already dreading getting off the ship (seriously thinkning of just hiding at CC and living in a palm tree).

I'm so glad you had such a great trip and have memories that you and your children will always treasure!!

Great report and so helpful! I am going on a 4-night Wonder cruise as well and so excited! I have a few questions I hope you can answer for me. :) When booking excursions are there different times to choose from? I know we were looking at doing the Stingray Adventure in Nassau. Also, if you choose to eat at one of the restaurants for breakfast or lunch (Triton's/Parrot Cay)...do you need reservations or can you just walk in? Are they open every day and can you sit by yourself eating there at breakfast and lunch? We have the 2nd dinner seating...do you have an idea of what time the live shows are, so I can get an idea of the time we'd be going to the live shows. Is their one type of live show daily or diferent ones (Hercules, Disney Dreams, Golden Mickeys)? Are you only given this information each day or how do you know what's happening to plan your trip? Thanks a bunch! :thumbsup2

HI FT_Bride!! I'm so glad you enjoyed my report. I'll try to answer your questions!

There is only 1 time to do the Stingray Adventure. We had to meet downstairs around 9:30. The excursion began shortly after that. It was a fun day!

We didn't eat breakfast or lunch in the restaurants but you can just walk in. I'm fairly certain you'll get your own table. It seems to me that most folks ate at BBB. I recommend that to enjoy eating outside. It is lovely especially on CC day!!

Your shows will be at 6:30 if you have late seating. You will see:
Sunday: Michael Harrison...he is so funny
Mon:Hercules
Tues:Golden Mickeys
Wed:Dsiney Dreams

The show days remain the same. All other activities will be listed in your personal Navigator which you receive each evening. When you return to your room it will be waiting for you in your very inviting room!!!!

Hope this helps!

This is the best info and most info I have received! Thanks so much! As a new cruiser and new Disney cruiser...I'm confused! haha! This helped out a lot! I'm still trying to decide if I should change to the First Dinner Seating...it will just be my DH & I on this trip for our anniversary and my birthday! :) My main reason for going is to do all the Disney stuff! I'm concerned about Pirate Night and having 2nd dinner seating! I don't want to be late for the Pirate Night activities and I still want to enjoy the dessert buffet. What's your opinion? Is there any way to eat somewhere else that evening instead of the selected location? Another quick question...what time do the shows start for everyone with First Dinner Seating? Thank you! Thank you!

We had early dinner seating so I'm not sure I can help you. I do know that the rest. you have on the second night of your rotation will be the same on the third night which is Pirate night. There will be a special dinner menu (very cool) for Pirate night though. You could certainly choose to eat elsewhere. As far as the dessert buffet goes we were just too full to eat any!! I can't imagine having room after late dinner! Shows start at 8:30 if you have early seating. They last about an hour. Even without kids I think I'd perfer the early seating but that's just me I'm not a night owl at all.

Oh yeah, I was reading the "Negatives" post on the boards earlier and it was mentioned that it is difficult to be seated by yourselves in the restaurants. You might want to check that out.
