Sinkhole swallows minivan

I talked to the DPW a couple of hours ago and they said we may be having problems with crud in the water for upwards of 3 days. Bleech! It affects a huge area and more towns than just ours. The most annoying part of this is that we have been advised not to use our hot water. They said the sediment can get into your heating system and really do a number on it.

Looks like my next real shower will be at WDW.

I commute from EB to Canton, and drive through your neck of the woods, over by Cary Hill. I saw the DPW guys this morning flushing a hydrant this morning and the water looked like it had been dyed BLACK. I can't even imagine you poor thing.

I hope they underestimated how long they will have a problem, and you guys are back to normal soon.

LOL! Thanks for the shower offer. Things looked somewhat better just a few minutes ago but that happened for a while during late morning and then it went black again. I've got a huge pot of water on the stove that I can heat up for sponge baths and hair washing but I'm hoping this will be resolved tomorrow when I get up.

Wow I must've missed this one on the news! Yecch! Sorry to hear about that, I guess I really should have some spare fresh water on hand. You always think of weather disasters not stuff like this!

Hi Roberta, My SIL lives in Brockton also so I called to see how her water was and sure enough... black! She did say it was getting better though. Good Luck, I hope your water is back to normal by morning!
