Thank you a million times over to the DIS for all the info to get ready for our 8 day Memorial week trip. This budget board saved us a ton! Our total food expenditure for me, DH, DD8 and DD6(including vouchers, groceries for breakfast and at WDW out of pocket) was under $600 and we didn't beel like we skimped at all. We budgeted $200 a day, so it was nice to be so far under!

We stayed at CSR, and used vouchers at pepper market for several meals. It was SOOOOO worth it. We used 10 Q&C vouchers. The total cost of the food we purchased was over $220! Most meals, we'd get fruit bowls as either a side or dessert to take back to the room for breakfast the next morning or for a snack later. We usually used 2 vouchers for the 4 of us with an extra kids meal. At RFC, we used 1 adult and 2 child vouchers and had so much food. We ended up taking leftovers back and having them for late supper. Our total bill there was $205 with tax and tip. We also used vouchers at Chef Mickey's. It was only a few dollars savings, but it was nice to have it pre-paid.

That's a considerable savings!!! We found the vouchers to be a great value at Pepper Market too. It's a little out of the way when you're not staying at CSR but SOOOO worth a trip.

When do these vouchers expire? Are these the same vouchers they give you when you tour DVC?

I just ordered 16 Q & C vouchers for the 2 adults and 2 teenagers. We will be there 5 days and thought this would help save on a few meals at least.

Any suggestions as too the best value as far as places to eat?

Thanks
Don

I see you used the VKL vouchers almost the same way we will for DH, DD11, DD2, and me. I was planning on using one adult's and one child's voucher. I was wondering how the Maya Mixed Grill-was it as good & was there as much food as the steak & lobster? Also, did you have to combine the two vouchers to get the Awesome Appetizer Platter? Was there as much food as if we were to order two separate one? We were considering the volcanoe as well...your thoughts? Since we will only be using the two vouchers between the 4 of us, I want to make sure the volcanoe and the appetizer platter will be enough for everyone. Thanks for a very detailed report!

I think 2 vouchers would be plenty. That's all we'll use next time. One surf and turf and one mixed grill would have fed all of us. We were allowed to get the platter with only one voucher, but I've heard of other people having to use 2. There is the equivalent of 2 appetizers' worth of food on it. And the volcano had 4 hunks of brownie along with a large mound of ice cream and whipped cream. Enough for 4 people easily. We didn't finish it. The Maya Mixed grill was also very generous. There were 5 shrimp, a large chicken breast and a ?half-slab portion of ribs. DD8 (who eats more than me and is a bit of a piggy -- don't tell her I said that!) barely put a dent in it, even with sharing with her sister. It comes with a large portion of fries and veggies too.

Yum. Talking about it makes me want to go back!
