I am definitely a rookie at Disney and with three kids (5,7 and 9) I wanted this to be a magical trip. My husband surprised us with 6 hours of a VIP guide. I was annoyed that he wanted to spend the money but truly we can afford it. We have never enjoyed Disney more! Compared to our other days touring the parks and figuring out fast passes and timing, it was hands down the way to go.

She picked us up at our cabin at 3pm and we told her what we had seen and what we wanted to do. Animal Kingdom was on the top of our list so we started there. She drove us behind the scenes right to the entrance of of each ride and then right into the fast pass line. My daughter loved the Rapids so we got right into the fast pass line again. For any water ride she held our bag.

After we were done with Animal Kingdom we went to Hollywood Studios because we were unable to get a fast pass while we were there the day before for Toy Story so we parked right outside the ride and jumped in the fast pass line.

Then onto Epcot where we quickly jumped on Soarin.

My daughter was all about seeing the princesses so we went to MK and got into see the princesses and then Mickey and Minnie. Then we jumped on Splash Mt and headed to the Electrical Parade where we got front row seats. We were greeted by many of the characters as they walked by and Cinderella wished my daughter a Happy Birthday from her float.

Overall we were able to go on everything that we had misses in our previous day and a half in the park. Since we have only been to Disney once before we were able to see just about everything on our list in a very short amount of time. We will definitely be doing a VIP tour again and highly recommend it to anyone that can manage it. The only downside besides the price it that it does not help with non fast pass rides. For the six hours it cost us $1500.

Sounds like a really cool experience! Just curious though - is it only VIP treatment like front of the line access or do they also bring you behind the scenes like some of the other tours (Keys to the Kingdom)?

It certainly sounds like you used the time well, and I'm glad your family got do everything you wanted! :thumbsup2 I have to say though, yowza, that's a LOT of money! If I were you I would have used the money to upgrade from a cabin to, say, the Beach Club. It IS perfectly possible to get all the rides done, multiple times, with little wait, if you A)never miss a rope drop and b)go in the right time of year! :thumbsup2

Sounds like a great time! What do you mean by "parked" outside of the ride? Were you on a golf cart or something like that?

I am surprised that you couldn't "cut the line" for the non fast pass rides. I have a friend who used an outside service which was much cheaper and she cut all the lines.

You get FOTL access with an outside service? Wow, I am surprised that is allowed by Disney.

OP, it's great you rode all the rides that you wanted. But wowza, four parks in 6 hours?

For us, Disney is more than the rides, it is taking the whole experience in - it's the little details that make it special. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Yeah, I wouldn't want VIP treatment - I don't go to WDW for the rides or shows. I go for the atmosphere. There is no atmosphere rushing from ride to ride, IMO. I would much rather sit on a bench and people watch than ride a ride..

OP, it sounds like you had a great afternoon/evening! :goodvibes Not to mention a wonderful time for your DD's birthday!

I have seriously considered looking into the VIP service for a special "treat". What transportation did you use to get from park to park?

For that price it'd better be via helicopter. That is a boatload of money for a handful of rides that can be experienced by anyone with a little research or a modicum of patience.

I'm not sure about this one.

Totally agree - all I'm getting from this is $1500 to cut lines. Much rather plan better.

The Disney VIP Guide has a Disney van and will take you directly between the parks backstage, and will park in the backstage area as close as possible to the attraction.

That isn't worth that much imho. I would rather have an experience like Chef's Kitchen at Victoria's and Albert, Behind the Magic Tour or a Suite at the Poly than six hours of a VIP Guide. There is something to enjoy the atmosphere of walking down main street and being immersed in the magic instead of being whisked from ride to ride. That doesn't seem to be as magical to me.

I'm not sure you could pay me $1500 to want to do the major headliners at all 4 parks in 6 hours with my dh and 3 kids in tow. Glad you had fun though! :thumbsup2

I agree with both of these statements. I'm glad you feel as though you got what you paid for, OP, but I would much rather spend my money elsewhere (at Disney, of course ;)) and experience all the parks have to offer.

Agree with the others. I'm glad you had a good time but that's a whole 'nother week at Disney for my family. LOL!
