This trip was just me and my 2 kids. we have a retail business so hubby couldnt leave during Christmas.

we have been to disney quite a few times during summer but this was our 1st trip during Christmas. We got great rates on Delta.Com for $91r/t for all 3 of us leaving from Houston and that too during Christmas so we were really excited. We arrived at MCO and rented a car at Avis. I had really debated whether to rent or not and now after the trip I wished I had not because we harldy used the car. The total was $190 for 9 days for a midsize car. We reserved ALLSTAR MOVIES 2 days before arrival for our first night at Disney before we checked in the SWAN. We had heard good things about ALMO so we decided to stay there our 1st night and we got an ap rate for $49 at the last minute.We drove to ALLSTAR MOVIE and check in was a breeze no line and it also was my sons birthday on Dec 19 and so I mentioned nicely if they had a room in the buzz building since it was my sons birthday and the cast member mentioned yes they do and gave me the card to our room. I could not believe the location!!!it was on the 2nd floor right next to woody!! we were so close that I could reach woody. We were in the 1st room on 2nd floor facing the toy story characters. We could see buzz right accross my room. We got the room right next to toy story figures WOW!!!!! suddenly there was a knock on the door and the cast member was asking my son "buzz and woody told me it was your birthday and they wanted me to give you this. IT was a card signed by buzz and woody with about 10 balloons attached to it. I could not believe it that Disney would go out of their way to make it a special day for us even at a value resort like ALLSTAR MOVIES. Our room was so clean and I am a cleanaholic so I checked everything. It was spotless. I was so impressed!!!!!. We decided to tour the hotel because we only had
seen it in pictures. WOW my daughter and son loved this place. The food court was so huge. After touring ALLSTAR MOVIES we realized we wished we were here for our entire vacation stay but were only here for one night.
It is a perfect resort for families. Very clean grounds and surroundings. We have stayed at Boardwalk,Beach Club,Poly but my kids liked Allstar Movie the Best so did I(well Boardwalk villa cannot be beat it still is the best disney resort for me but allstar movies is a close 2nd) We had a ps at chef Mickeys for our arrival night so we drove to contemporary and boy was chef mickeys crowded. We love this place!!! the food was so delecious especially the parmesan mashed potatoes. I will tell you more about my dinners at disney in details but I wanted to get this point out. Every disney restaurant we went to We had an excellent server. They are so different from the restaurants here in houston. They went out of their way to make sure you have a wonderful time. they fill your glasses when they are almost empty and they make sure you are having a good time. I just love that about Disney service. It was my sons birthday so they did the napkin dance and brought out a cupcake with a candle. it was a perfect day to start off our vacation. We went back to the hotel and went to sleep dreaming about our start of our vacation. SNOOOOZE
