Our Very Merry Christmas Vacation: Pre-Trip Report

Dang it did I forget to mention I stink at updating journals and all

I slipped up tonight while talking w/ Grumpy and Grumpy's Mom. GM was on the phone and I told G to mention our December trip so that side of the family doesn't plan anything w/out us for the holidays. Stitch was sitting right on the couch reading his book. I was so mad at myself. I make this face and Grumpy says "I don't know why we are keeping it a secret anyways." Alas...that is why I dub thee Grumpy. Anyhow I don't think Stitch noticed. We'll see.

I just found out Chita Rivera will be our celebrity reader for the Candlelight Processional. I am nervous but a kind soul in the CP thread just gave me the thumbs up for her.

Okay my rough schedule. I am a TGM'er and w/ small kiddos we like to eat lunch and dinner early. Just FYI.

12/9 Leave on the jet plane 7am. Arrive MCO at 9:15am or so. We will check in and explore. We will head to DTD some time that evening and we have ADR's at Raglan's Road at 6pm. I might be tempted to squeeze in a carriage ride this night.
12/10 MGM Spectacle of Lights. Sci-Fi 4:10pm
12/11 Sleep In Chef Mickeys 11:10am and explore monorail resorts for Christmas Decorations. Back to POR and then MVMCP at 4pm. Dinner will be a counter service.
12/12 Sleep In Epcot WS 11am CP dinner package. Coral Reef 4pm
12/13 MGM Maybe try Beaches and Cream for our lunch while on break from the park
12/14 MK Dinner Kona 5pm
12/15 Pack and Check out. We will head to Epcot FW @ rope drop. We need to be back for ME at 3pm

Wahoo! I came home from preschool today to find 2 boxes from Disney. Grumpy and Pluto have each one a set of Dream Ears from the mail in entry forms. I will take pictures and update tonight.

Thank you! Although if you haven't noticed I am a hit and miss poster. lol I charged my camera batteries so I will post pic's of the mickey ears we won from the mail in YOAMD contest.

I have a bad habit of browsing through the codes and discounts forum even though I have a great code on our pkg already w/ the POR. I would love to check out the AKL or WL one of these years. But man oh man everytime someone lists a new code I spend 2 days searching it out. Grumpy keeps saying "It's booked...let it go!".

I have almost slipped twice to Stitch and Ariel about our trip. Ariel is crazy for Hanna Montana and her bff asked her to go to the concert Dec 9th. I am not quite sure how to answer that one w/out really making her upset. Any tips??

2 months and 5 days

Day 1: Arrival Day Sunday December 9th
Our flight leaves at 7am this day. I am debating whether or not to have my mom drives us to Indy so we don't pay the parking fees. I have read somewhere on Dis that there is a hotel right by the Indy airport that we could stay Sat night and then leave our van there all week no charge. Okay well I have to look the price up because it could be cheaper to just park in the lot.

We will be using ME from the Orlando airport. I need to reread through the ME threads but I did call and give all my flight info to the CM's.

So anyhow I didn't plan anything this first day except our ADR. I figured we could check out the resort. Which means I need to pack easy carry on bags and I guess I will need to bring my stroller. We have a large BOB jogger that we use everywhere. I wonder if this will be too large for the buses to parks and back? I also have a cheap umbrella stroller. Okay then we can head to DTD via the boats and shop in the Christmas store I read about. Our ADR is for Raglan's Road at 5pm. Does anyone know how late the boats run? We will just head back home to bed early to get ready for our RD at MGM on Monday.

So I finally uploaded the picture of Ariel and Pluto wearing our winning ears! lol They looked so sleepy when I took the picture.


Okay so starting to panic here! I should start a list on here of things I still need to do. We have finally hit the cold season here and I am stalling on packing up our summer clothing. I am thinking we will need a few pair of shorts and short sleeve tops. I will be back on later tonight and I will add to my itinerary and tell how my DH let the surprise out of the bag

I have been so busy with the two classes I am taking plus I started making and selling Rhinestone shirts. I have a Minnie one I am making for Ariel and I will have to post it when it's finished.

Today is also my birthday So we are heading out to dinner and then I will be back on.

Aww thanks for hanging with me! My birthday was good and Grumpy purchased a flat screen monitor for me. It's huge and is taking awhile for my eyes to adjust to it. lol

So Ariel and Stitch both had great grades and conferences so I tell Grumpy we need to come up with a little "way to go" gift for them. We are all driving in the car after school and he says "You all did so good with your first semester we decided to take you to Disneyworld...in a month!" OMG Seriously? You did not A. just tell them in the car where we can't all jump up and down together B. ruin the suprise C. say that is there gift and now they will expect that each semester They did squeal and were even more excited to know we will be flying this time. Of course Stitch says "Hmmm I was thinking a new toy would do."

So here are their questions:
Pluto wants to know if we can ask the pilot to fly the airplane lower to the ground so he isn't scared. Ariel has taken back her pinky swear that she will ride splash mountain with me and wants to know if she can wear her ariel gown this time. Stitch wants to know if he can be the one to sleep in the trundle bed @ POR.

I am most definitely freaking out and bouncing off the walls. I have been stressing so much I have developed an eye twitch I told my Dr. last week she just might have to medicate me.

I paid off the trip (late mind you and it didn't cancel on me) and now I need to purchase our MVMCP tickets. I keep having the urge to move my days around a bit.

Just in case you are MIA in the next month I'm decorating our window w/ Disney window clings and some Mickey heads. Look for us!

Well we are def going to the party on the 11th...but I keep thinking how can I be in DW the first day and not go to a park? LOL Right now I have us planned to visit the resort and DTD for dinner.

The window clings are a great idea...where did you find some? I planned on joining a tree swap but figured our room was going to be pretty tight as it is. So the clings would be a festive piece.

That's why we're going to the party on the 9th! I couldn't stand the thought of not going to MK until Wed!

I have window clings already if I can't find any, but I heard there are some at Dollar Tree. I'm sure they're pretty easy to find. I'll let you know when I find some!
