Tuesday May 25 Our 8th Anniversary
Sunny low 90s
Our last full day in the world. Headed out to the Poly to the Kona Café for Tonga toast for my wife. We were not crazy about the server, but enjoyed breakfast. Took a bus to Animal Kingdom to get the bus to check out the AKL. It was a nice hotel, but nothing we would be interested in staying in. (That is why they make so many different themes for their hotels). Then from AKL to the Magic Kingdom. MK was so crazy that day. We got a fast pass for Philharmagic, over an hour wait, lots of people who had no clue as to how to use fast pass and where to go to get them and where to go to get in line for it. Went across the way to Tom Sawyers island for Deserts. Got a fastpass for Splash Mountain. I dont like the waiting for Philharmagic with a fast pass. In the middle of Fantasyland in the sun, but once it opened it was quick to load. Waited in a huge line for Pirates of the Caribbean. It snaked through the building and outside. My wife did more shopping and I went to do the Tiki room and Jungle Cruise. Jungle Cruise line was to long, so I went in Tiki twice and both times it was a full room. When we got back to splash, the wait time for standby was 85 min at 5:00 and if you got a fast pass then, the return time was 8:00 Nice and cool on Splash. Ducked out of the parade to go on Country Bears, it was nice to see the original version again. We usually go during Xmas time and see the holiday show. Then we headed off to MGM and had dinner at the Sci-fi drive in. Had a cool waiter, but was not the most attentive, he was a little off his game and he admitted it, but still had a good time. Went on TOT and RNR and went to go to Fanatasmic, but again saw the line and thought it would be best just to go back to the room. So back to the room to pack for the next day departure. We were slightly disappointed, we hear of different things that people get dove by Disney for special occasions, but Mouskeeping did nothing special at all for us during our stay, nothing special at the restaurant. The only thing out of the ordinary was the bubble bus singing to us and the offer for Illuminations. I was slightly disappointed, I mean they made it a point to know it was our anniversary. But had a good time anyway.
