We're (DH and 2 DS 5 and 6) are going to WDW end of April, beginning of May. This is the plan we came up with last night.
Saturday- Epcot (this is a grad night) with dinner at Coral Reef.
Sunday- Breakfast with Donald and AK for the day
Monday- MGM (late EMS) and dinner at Mama Melrose
Tuesday- MK with dinner at the Crystal Palace (although am considereing making this a lunch instead)
Wednesday - AK (late EMH) with Hoop de Doo show at night
Thursday- MK (early EMH) and dinner ??
Friday- To be decided that day, but dinner at Le Cellier

I haven't made my reservations, so all this is contigent on getting the ressies we want, but am hopeful. We have hoppers so we're not commited to any one park on the day we go, just thought it would be good to have a plan.

thanks for looking and please feel free to comment.

Looks Good.

My only comment is that you may want to consider 50's Prime Time instead of Mama Melrose. We've been to both, but I think your kids would like 50's much better. Mine preferred it, as it was a bit more kid friendly. Mama's is great food, but I remember my DD who only eats pizza - didn't like hers as it was a bit "gormet" for her! You may (if you haven't already) check out the menu's at www.allearsnet.com and base it on food choices. DH just hated going to a great WDW restaurant and paying the prices for kids that didn't eat anything!

Don't forget to set aside time to play in the play park (the name escapes me) at Dinoland at AK. It's a great break for Mom and Dad too as there is only one entrance so if you sit near there they can't escape and you can rest.

You didn't mention where you are staying, so you may want to try to make time to visit some of the other resorts and maybe have a meal. O'hana's is fun for kids at Poly and resort is beautiful. Also Whispering Canyon at WL is also fun. Chef Mickey's is always good. Kids find the "monorail" hotel facinating. Our kids also like spending time at the Boardwalk. There are buskers and carnival games, plus some nice restaurants.

I also have to agree!

Although I  Mama Melrose's 50's Prime Time is more kid friendly!

Don't forget to order the PBJ Shake!

Thursday ~ Chef Mickeys!

Have Fun!

Your plans look good, and I also have to agree with the 50's prime time (we had a blast there last september). Crystal palace is great but also think about the breakfast, we enjoyed it and it was a great start to a day at MK. Anyways have fun

thanks for the responses. I should add that we are doing the meal plan (paying for 8 nights but only 7 days in the parks) and staying at AS Movies. We did breakfast at Chef Mickey's last year so wanted to try something different. To be honest, if it wasn't for the meal plan we probably wouldn't do a character meal again, the kids didn't eat much there and it was upsetting considering the price. I have O'hana on my short list but was torn between that and a dinner at DTD on the Thursday night.
Will look at 50's prime time too and compare. A friend told me that MM was closer to Fantasmic so we thought it would be a good place to unwind and then go to the show, but we do want the kids to eat and not be hungry afterwards. We're hoping they will be up to staying at MGM a little later if we pace it right.
The dinoland bone yard! What a wonderful place... our boys didn't want to leave it last time. This time we're going to plan it so that they can go in there when we need a rest. On our very short visit last year we had to literally carry the boys out. lol. This time we plan to spend 2 days at AK so that won't be an issue.
thanks again!

A tip about picky eaters and those expensive character buffets.

We went to O'hana's with picky DD. I asked very nicely of the server if he could bring some nuggets and fries for DD as the big sticks of meat just about freaked her out! He did, and we just payed for that for her. I have heard they will do this for you at some restaurants, you just need to ask. Disney doesn't advertise this, but most will try to do what they can.

Yzma, thank you for that. I'm constantly second guessing our ADRs...... but at least this time I've made them. Last year we did mainly CS and ate off site once. This year we will have no car so the dining plan is great for us, but I'm glad we're planning it out. Just wish I didn't keep changing my mind!

Looks good but I would reccomend 2 things. At MK unless you are planning to go back to take a break or let the kids have a long break on Tom Saywer's Island I would suggest that doing lunch at the Crystal Buffet would be better. The meals have basically the same food but it would get you in air-conditioning during the heat of the day. Also when you plan to go your second day to MK I would suggest planning to leave for another park by noon because the park will get very crowded for the rest of the day with it having an EMH. For some reason even resort guests who don't get up early enough for the EMH tend to travel towards that park unless they have a plan and places with morning EMH are great for the first part of the day but then get too crowded.
