Thank you so much everyone. You have no idea what it means to read these words of support. DH is home and resting now. We both managed to get some sleep last night. (DH with the help of some major painkillers!). We're going to the orthopedic doctor on Monday so I'll have some more updates then.
You're right Dan, the trip is postponed, not cancelled. And I have been counting my blessings every day that I still have DH here to cherish and love.
Thanks again, you've been a great comfort.
