ODS 11
YDS 8
Special guest appearance by DHs daughters (14 & 8) aka The Cheerleaders!
2/29 Another early morning, head to food court for a quick bite, then off our separate ways. DH headed to WOS to watch the girls in their individual competitions, and the boys and I head to Epcot with a plan to meet around 1pm for the team competitions.
The boys and I reach Epcot by 8:30, and wait for rope drop. As 9am approaches, the character bus arrives, I didnt think they put so many characters together like that, there had to be at least 12. When the rope drops, I asked the CM if the bus was stopping anywhere to do autographs, and yep, right in front of the fountain. The boys and I make a bee-line to the fountain, I think we got 10 of the 12 autographs within the 15-20 minutes the characters were there. We walked around a while, did the living seas, then headed to World Showcase, when the character bus appeared again (it was 11am), we got the remaining 2 signatures we missed this morning, and a few more. In total they got 16 signatures!!
Went to Electric Umbrella for a quick lunch, then off to MGM to catch the connecting bus to WOS.
Ahhh WOS and cheerleaders, Ive been to plenty of competitions, and dont remember seeing so many cheerleaders in one place!!! The individual competitions were over and awards given out by the time we got there. OSD took 6th, and YSD took 2nd in their individual divisions. Another girl from of our squads took 1st place!!! Its now 2pm and we have 3 ½ hours of team competitions ahead of us. The boys did really well thru the 3 ½ hours, thank goodness for GameBoys! In the end, OSDs team took 11th in her division, YSDs team took 6th in her division, one of our squads took 4th, and our senior division took 1st!!! The girls were a little disappointed in their placing, but all in all was a good experience.
We left WOS by 6pm, and headed back to the resort for some swimming and relaxing. We had dinner at the food court and called it an early night.
The not so good I wish the girls had placed better, but the experience was wonderful for them
The great Being able to see the girls for a while, even if it was only for a few hours!!
Tomorrow My Birthday!! And MGM
