Unfortunately, we returned yesterday afternoon.
Just glad I get to go back in Feb.
It was just me and DH celebrating our 19th anniversary. Our flight (DL)from Cincinnati was right on schedule Sat. morn. arrived at BWI around noon to check-in. Our room was ready! I had requested King w/couryard view, but did not get king bed. That was ok because we got room (4268) close to elevator which meant not a long walk.
The weather was absolutly Perfect. Never saw a cloud in the sky the entire stay. Around 80 during the day then 60's at night. Definitely needed sweatshirt for evening. NO HUMIDITY at all!!!! Unbelievable weather!!!!
First thing headed to Epcot for lunch and try a little wine. Headed back to room to clean up for PFTS. The party was a lot of fun, just wish that the food was not so exotic. Elk was offered at couple of stations, and I just couldn't try. I ate enough but got some things twice becasue I was drinking wine. Not a big seafood person and lots of that offered too!
Day 2: started at Kona for breakfast which was great! Macadamia Pancakes for me, eggs benedict for DH. Headed to MK. Lines were not long at all, they were all 30 min. or less. Love the new HM, great improvements. Went back to change and back to Kona for dinner which was also great. Then back to MK.
Day 3: we drove to Emeril's Tchoup Chop for lunch. Great food. Banana Cream pie is awesome. Then to MGM. Watched Fantasmic then went to DD for my Ghiradelli butterscotch sundae.
Day 4: Started with Segway Around the World at Epcot. I've done this before but DH hadn't. Now he wants one.
We just walked around WS and tried some wine, beer & food from different countries. All were good. Went back and got cleaned up for our anniversary dinner at Jiko. Amazing food filets were cooked as ordered and really liked the olive flatbread. They had a new dessert (pumkin roll w/cinnamon ice cream) no sugar added was very good and light. We had a great anniversary!
Day 5: check out
then walked to Epcot for the day. Had dinner at Teppan Edo. The new restraurant was great! Had some pastries in France after that. Yummy!
We saw lots of people from New Jersey but the parks were not crowded at all. We were wondering where everyone was, with all the resorts full.
Spent that night at Marriott airport hotel for our flight the next morn which was also on-time.
We had rental car which we used except for going to Epcot, then we walked. Just a magical trip, couldn't have been better, except to not have to leave!
