Wow, glad you escaped the oppressive NYE crowds to get some downtime and swimming at SSR!

Its our home resort, but I haven't visited since before the Grandstand section was built... they say its probably the nicest section of all!

This was me when I saw the pictures of the crowds: I don't think I would do too good on a day like that!

Sarasota is very pretty! I love all the colors. Do you ever feel like you are forever away from the main buildings?

You know, we have been lucky to get our choice of Grandstand each time, and it's never more than a 2-3 minute walk to the main building. I know things are spread out there, but for some reason, it doesn't seem that far to me. Go figure.

We do love Grandstand; but you know, we love that place so much, it might not matter to us what area we are in. Check in with me later when we stay someplace new at SSR!

I will certainly take pictures of my stuff from shopping and post - good idea!!

Hi DIS friends.

If you pray, could you pray for me and peace of mind? Today I quit my job and it ended badly, much to my dismay. I don't want to post too many details, mostly because I want to forget about it and also because I think it's not too smart to post out a former employer on the internet.

Even though I thought it was just what I wanted, it turned out to be something entirely different. So I am working now in our family business, which has been pulling at my heart strings for some time now to get involved again. And as an added bonus, I will have the potential to earn more money with this job, and be happier, so I think it's an all around good thing.

I am very happy of the friendships I have built here, and know that if I give it up to God and ask for your help, I can move on from this and go forward. Like my new boss said "Today is the first day of the rest of your life."

I appreciate and care for all of you!! Have a wonderful weekend!!

Honestly, we haven't met a DVC resort we didn't like! They all have their charm! Your SSR is beautiful!
So excited to be trying out another new one in a couple of weeks!

More money and happier? Sounds like a great combination to me! I hope it ends up being a great situation and this little rough spot becomes a quickly fading memory. Prayers for peace of mind and wonderful things ahead. I've had God working overtime myself lately, asking Him to take care of Trent as he moves away and take care of me as I go through the transition of him not being around all the time. Good thing He can take care of us all in every situation without ever getting tired.

Look forward, you need to get beyond this!

I got pretty far behind, but I think I am all caught up now.

Those NY Eve crowds are ridiculous! But considering the crowds I think you got a lot done. How long were the lines for Space Mtn? I'm guessing 120 minutes.

I enjoyed your pictures of the Kitchen sink - nice job tackling it. That is on my Disney "too do" list. I am actually going with a friend who loves to eat, so perhaps this is the trip.

$69K for a condo in Celebration....nice.....makes me think about whether that's a better deal than more DVC points.

I really like SSR, too. Since my last trip there I have stayed at AKL and POP. May I will be staying at VWL. I am definately due for a trip back to SSR.

I have been SO MIA and I am sorry for that - my new job is going GREAT and so I have been quite busy these last few weeks, but I like busy, it's a good thing. And pretty soon, I should be getting a new computer (this one is about on his last leg) and then I'll be golden!!

It's so nice to hear that your new job is going well. I am hoping for the same thing for Trent as he starts his new job on Monday. I hope he calls and tells me he loves it!

My computer is showing signs of giving it up, too. I hope it can hold out until I can afford a new one. It could mean chopping some days off the summer trip to get one.
