I haven't ever seen it this long, though. There was an audible groan heard from our whole group when we saw it. It really moved pretty fast, though for as long as it was.

We don't usually get anything there unless we have snack credits to burn. It all does looks so yummy !!

Having a brand spankin' new AP is the best feeling, isn't it? I am going to "try" to let ours expire and not have a park pass next October when we go on the cruise. I am going to "try" to do Universal instead. Do you think I can make it?

My brother had that meatloaf when we were there and it was huge. I hear its delicious!

Day 1 – Part 3

When I last left off, it had started to rain on us at DTD so we hopped on the boat right there at Rain Forest Café to head back to SSR.



I was kinda glad that it rained. DD wanted to go to World of Disney and the Lego store where I knew the begging would start. And I just didn't want to go back into that hot mess, so we got on the boat. DD was pouty about it, but too bad.

Once we got back the rain had stopped – YAY !! We got back in the car so we could head over to Hollywood Studios. DH prefers to drive – he hates the busses.

We got to the park around 2:30 or so.





DD thought this was cute. We didn’t buy it though.





DS went to see if he could get on AeroSmith while DH, DD and I went to ride Star Tours. We had a FP+ ressie so we didn’t have to wait in line. The line wasn’t bad – 20 min. maybe ….but it was nice not to wait.







After that we grabbed a snack.





Our next FP+ was for the Great Movie Ride. DH and DS grabbed a bench to rest (DH was VERY tried, he had been up since 3 AM. We got to sleep in the car) while DD and I checked out the shops. I got her some new flips flops since the dog chewed up that ones we got her in September. BAD DOG !!!



She got some chocolate coins as well. She loves those things.

Then it was time to ride the Great Movie Ride. There was really no line, so this was a waste of a fast pass. We will know better next time ....







It was good. I really like that ride. After that, DS needed a snack. We stepped into Writer’s Stop to check it out.



DS decided on a HUGE sugar cookie.



DH took DD to the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground while DS and I walked the Streets of America and took some photos.





DS wanted one of these. He said he could put some popcorn in it and then it would be like he was eating Mickey’s brains.

BWAINZ !!!

Then we waited outside the HISTK playground for a while.



It was about 5 PM at this time. DD came out completely soaked what whatever water spouty thing they have in there and pronounced she was hungry …. Again. So we headed over to the Backlot Express.

Is that a rhetorical question? Because if I had to answer .... I would vote no. The renewal rate is just too good of a deal to renew within the 30 day window. DH wanted to renew ours in April, but we saved $300 by renewing now. Too good of a discount to pass up.

It really is good. We get it almost every time. Not a speck left - EVER. Soooo yummy !!!

She wanted to buy everything right away. We had to save out spending money for the cruise. You think being in the Disney bubble in Orlando can rack up a bill, try a Disney Cruise. The costs add up soooooo fast.

I just love it. Especially the montage at the end. Hey have you listened to Lou Mongello's podcast about the history behind it?? It is very interesting. Check it out at wdwradio.

I am the same way. This man has limitless energy on very little sleep. He works shift work so he is used to being without sleep. Days, then nights, then days again. I would be a mess. He's happy with it though. He crashed hard that night though ......

Did you find or create the pattern for the makeup rolls? This would be such a cute gift for DD to give the girls in her dance class for Christmas. They have a show in two weeks and could use something like this.

I also love the car carrier. Cars for little boys are like dolls for little girls- they take them everywhere they go. What a great way for boys to carry their cars around, and hopefully keep from losing them.

I just adapted the crayon roll pattern for the make-up. You want some ?? How many?? I have tons of fabric left. PM me on FB!!

I love it, too. There is even a pattern that carries four cars and a road map. Sooo cute !! But I opted for just the two for FE gifts. Limited time and money and all .....

When you first started describing how you had to schlep to The Marketplace from the HoB to renew your AP, I was thinking, "Dude, there is a GS right across from HoB!" Then as I read further, it all became clear...W.P.E. (cue heavenly choir). You were going that way anyway. Me likee that place. It is yummy. I really want to try the meatloaf, but it is so much food, and my kiddo don't eat cow. She's weird.



Again..with the heavenly choir. Miss Scarlett is divine. I love this dress. I love her whole wardrobe. Even her ill fitting, war-bride wedding gown.

That Mickey popcorn bucket is too cute for words. The eating of Mickey's brainz, however, is not. That's just wrong.

This just occurred to me...your DS missed "Day of the Doctor" (Doctor Who 50th Anniversary show) with all this gallavanting about WDW and what not, didn't he? I can just imagine the wailing and gnashing of teeth that would have occured if DD would have missed that. The wailing and gnashing of teeth was left to me for having to hear about the show ad nauseum for days afterwards.

And we could have gotten on the other boat to get to the the other side instead of walking. Which would have saved my ankle some. The meatloaf is amazing. This time the portion seemed a little smaller. I highly recommend !!

Day 1 – Part 4

When I last left off, DD came out completely soaked from the HISTK playground pronounced she was hungry …. Again. So we headed over to the Backlot Express.

See how wet she is !?? Didn’t seem to bother her though.

The kids split the

Chicken Breast Nuggets - served with Carrot Sticks or French Fries - $8.69



And DH and I Split the

1/3 lb Fresh Angus Bacon Cheeseburger - with House Sauce served with Carrot Sticks or French Fries - $9.39



After dinner, we headed over to Toy Story Mania to ride with our FP+.









It was starting to get dark. I was excited to see the Christmas Lights after our ride.







It was nice to arrive late to the park and still have a FP. On this day we really liked FP+. Not so much on another day, but we will get to that …..
We enjoyed our ride on TSM and made It over to the Streets of America just before they turned on the lights. I was so thrilled !! We had seen the lights before, but we had never been there when they actually turned them ON. We got there just a few minutes before it happened.



There was a countdown and BAM !!





It was so amazing !! We were pretty tired, but I am so glad we stayed for this.









And then there was snow !! Which might not be so exciting for you northern folk, but us southern people loved it.









I love how Disney keeps the manger scene !!!

As we were leaving the park, we passed a group of people. They were all standing around wondering out loud where the monorail was. DS and I cracked up laughing. It was so funny.

I love the Osborne lights. thanks for posting all those pics. It's been two years since I visited during Christmas and I don't think we'll make it there during the Christmas season until 2015.

I think FP+ is great when you want to visit a park in the afternoon and you know all the Fps would normally be gone.

Curious to see how it "didn't" work for you.

I love the Osborne lights. thanks for posting all those pics. It's been two years since I visited during Christmas and I don't think we'll make it there during the Christmas season until 2015.

I just love those lights !! They are absolutely amazing. I felt like we needed to see them before they tore that part of the park down to make way for Star Wars Land that is rumered to be coming,

I think FP+ is great when you want to visit a park in the afternoon and you know all the Fps would normally be gone.

It is great for that kind of thing for sure, but not so much for other things.
