Our Ten Day Adventure w/ NO Lines!!!!

OMG!! :lmao:

This is hysterical! We have to be close to the same age because my mom said all the things your mom did! I always had the rat's nest...chop chop is something I still hear chiming in my head. Did you ever get..."the full 9"? Still to this day I have no idea what that means. Or she'd say (to make sure I finished something completely) "from A to Z". That was one of her trademark lines. But you are cracking me up. :teeth:

Also...your Wildwood reference is RIGHT ON! We actually like Dinoland for that reason...reminds us of home (well, 30 minutes from home ;)).

Great report...keep 'em coming! :yay:

Love your trip report! I'm a Jersey girl too! We moved to TN this past July. I also think Dinoland is cheesy. We are from Pt. Pleasant so we spend more time at that boardwalk then Wildwood. Can't wait to read the rest.

I also am from South Jersey....Shouldn't it just be a different state than North Jersey? We were about 1 hour from "down the shore"....another thing on S. Jersey/Philly folks say.

Great trip report! I'm looking forward to the next installment. I don't know what exactly "chop, chop" means, but I say it almost every morning trying to get the kids up for school! Thanks for sharing your experiences with us.

Ok, it's official, "Chop-Chop" is a Jersey thing! :thumbsup2

The rest of day 2 should be up some time today!

PART 2 CONT. FRI 3/31 HOW BUSY WILL FANTASY LAND BE?

We leave Tomorrow Land with PP and Bubba wondering why we can’t do anything else here. Because I said so, that’s why. Now I sound like everyone’s mother right?

We walk right past toontown and Bubba says, “What’s going on over there, why such a long line?” I reply without skipping a beat “Oh, they’re lining up for the opening of it…at 10am.” Aren’t I so knowledgeable? I amaze myself sometimes. The funny thing is, we are not a family interested in Toontown, so I must have absorbed it through osmosis on here at some point during my trip planning obsession.

Off to Fantasy Land. No we’re not doing Dumbo…we’re not Dumbo people. Same as we’re not crowds, lines, fireworks or parade people. PP has been on some form of Dumbo or another about a thousand times down the shore. (That’s the Jersey Shore, for those of you who choose not to reside in the great garden state or somewhere else in the Delaware Valley. )

First on my itinerary is Peter Pan. This happens to be my favorite Disney movie of all time and PP enjoys it as well. Apparently our little buzz kill called Stich has delayed us walking right onto Peter Pan. See, I told you people…..but noooooooo, you wanted to get burped on by an alien. Now we will have to live with the consequences. I do some quick rearranging in my noggin and tell Bubba to grab some FPs for Peter Pan….because, like I said we don’t do lines. Not even 30 minutes for a classic.

Oh look, right across the way, it’s those cute signing dolls from many lands….No line for that. Hmmm……is there ever a line for IASM? I convince PP that it is a cultural lesson and a Disney classic. Really, I am trying to buy some time until we can get our next FP for Phillharmagic. Now IASM would have been a great cultural lesson, had I known where half those signing dolls were actually from. I got lost after Mexico….or was it Spain? I think I got Iceland right….or maybe it was Antarctica. I was definitely absent the day they covered all these countries. So what do you do when an 8 year old is asking at every corner “What country are they from?”……You LIE. That’s right, my darling PP will now feed her children miss information about the origin of most of those signing dolls. She also wanted to know where the American dolls were….I think at the end….oh maybe they’re Canadian. Anyone else get severely confused on this attraction?

We exit the ride and PP turns to me with a straight face and says “We don’t ever have to ride that again, right?” No PP, but riding even once will stay with you a lifetime. Try to get that song out of your head now, HA!

We still can’t ride PP(ok, this could get confusing…that meant peter pan…not my daughter) I, on a lark decide to see what HM looks like. Oh my goodness, no line…we’re soooo there. We walk right in, without really even having time to read the tombstones I love so much. The room stretches, PP gets a bit concerned that something is going to jump out at her…and I reply with what I probably said to her about a million times “It’s Disney, they wouldn’t let anything happen to you” I wanted to add, “because then you couldn’t spend your money here”, but I refrained and tried to keep the magic alive.

We hop in our car. Now this is the only ride where PP was a bit squished. We had the bright idea to squeeze all three of us in there. Did I mention Bubba is skinny….I on the other hand am not. Even when I’ve been “skinny”, I still was never “skinny”. Enough said….we were squished. But had fun all the same. It was exactly as I remember, refreshing after seeing all those dolls redone and my car on SM smaller and lower.

Time to use our FP for PP. But wait, “Bubba, go get us some FPs for Phillharmagic” Do you see a trend with FPs. I’m pretty sure if you dropped me in any park at this second I would not have a clue as to how to obtain a FP. Thanks Bubba!!!!

We wait about 5 minutes to get on PP. All the while people in the standby line are grumbling. Do these people not actually know about FP? This is the only ride we encountered grumbling folks, all the other lines contained just plain dumb folks who wait in line for an hour. I believe the standby line was up to about 40 minutes when we got on. We took our flight over London and enjoyed it, but it was shorter than I remember. Bubba commented on that as well.

Over to Mickey’s Philharmagic. None of us had seen this and were really looking forward to it. This is now my new favorite 3-d film at WDW. PP loved all the music and characters from her favorite movies. Especially since the characters were on the screen and not anywhere near her. I loved watching the little ones grabbing in the air for things…Very cute!

I think at this point I needed a smoke, so I find one around the bend, down the ramp and behind the potted plant….Really Disney….do you have to make it so difficult for losers like me to inhale some nicotine? I think it was somewhere by the Carrousel. While I smoked, PP and Bubba looked at a booth with light up thingys. Bubba convinced PP to get the light up rose. It was the cheapest and would be forgotten about shortly after we stowed it in our bag anyway. Good job Bubba. Whose money did that come out of, by the way??? I’m thinking hers….but I was hurdling potted plants.

Ok, time to get out of Fantasy Land…too many kids and too many strollers. (Predicted that one….didn’t I?) Is that another point for Mom? I think this is where Bubba had his first controversial thought of the trip. “Maybe they should not allow children under the age of 5 in here” This would be repeated numerous times throughout the following days. Don’t get me wrong, he likes kids….but navigating through a maze of strollers is just not the way he wants to spend vacation. I don’t 100% agree with him on this rule, but we did see more breakdowns from the little ones, than we saw happy little ones. I’m just saying!

We wander in Liberty Sq and head into Frontierland, PP declares she’s hungry. Apparently soft ice cream for breakfast just doesn’t have that stick to your ribs quality. We go to Pecos Bills and order two cheeseburger meals. One for her and one for Bubba and I to split. We ate more than ice cream for breakfast….PP loves the cheese sauce for her fries, and I have to say….that is some good cheese. I made myself a mini salad from the fixins bar with mushrooms and pickles and we find a place to sit. It was only about 11:15, so it still wasn’t too crowded.

While we are eating PP remembers that I told her about finding paintbrushes on TSI. Oh no….why did I have to open my big mouth? It’s late, I tell her, they will probably be gone by now. But she wants to venture over there anyway. Off we go on the raft. Has anyone else ever had anxiety on this raft? I don’t know why, but all those people on a few logs…..it could go down at any second. I told you I had issues.

We get over to the island and PP starts running like a mad woman looking for these paintbrushes. Sometimes too much information can be a bad thing. Case and Point. I continually tell her, that it is late (about 11:30) and they are probably gone. But she has fun looking. We found a whole lot of nothing. Bubba found a scrub brush that he attempted to pry from the shelf it was glued on …Nope, not it Bubba….keep looking. Did I mention it is hot today? 86/87 degrees. We all are getting hot and tired from our paintbrush excursion and even if there are paintbrushes left on this island, they must be really hidden.

PP wants to ride SM again, so we all head over via Mickey's Railroad for Bubba to get FPs for later. This is another thing I don’t think too many people know about: Using your FPs later than the return time. And trust me, I don’t want anyone else to find out! Lets just keep it our little secret, kay?

We debate using our FPs for Buzz, but PP is too hot and tired. Back to home base it is. We’ll back later tonight….no worries!

Great report :thumbsup2
I can't wait for more.
I love the comment about Dinoland = Wildwood :rotfl2:

Just caught up with day two! I know what you mean about getting from place to place without getting distracted. My family always wants to stay in one section of the park instead of going for all of the big rides first. Thank you very much dear cousins for getting me in an hour long line for Splash Mountain. Luckily, now I'm going solo, and can get all of the major rides done at once now.

WILL DAY 2 EVER END?

We take the long trek to Minnie, that seemed so close this morning. Back to the hotel….PP and I change into our suits and off to the pool we go. I think Bubba went to use the internet. Or he napped. If he is ever missing from this trip report…he is either napping or using the internet. He plays a lot of online fantasy sport nonsense(and by a lot, I mean everything from baseball to bass-fishing) that I pretend to understand and listen to, and heaven forbid you not get your lineup in….even on vacation. To each his own. More pool for us. We swim and I think I had a few beers. I don’t have anything interesting written down for todays swimming adventure, so it must have just been a relaxing afternoon! Just what PP needed!

Back to the room for a shower. What did you say? PP, you will get in the tub and let me wash your hair!!!! Praise the clean hair god!!!! We decide on Outback for dinner….we all love this place! This is where I find out how lucrative it is to not eat on property and to eat with the senior citizens. (We eat about 5pm this entire trip, in order to get back to the parks). Our lanky server named Woody informs me it is happy hour, and that house wine is buy one get one free!!! Don’t have to tell me twice! I’m in.

I have to take a moment to mention our superior restaurant karma on this trip. You will begin to see a trend on crowds when we are leaving a restaurant, no matter what time we ate. It was very odd.

When we entered Outback, it was somewhat busy(but we were seated right away), being that it was only like 4:30 and Woody seemed frazzled. He claims they are never this busy this early. But it is no problem with our service. I get my wine, Bubba gets an iced tea, and PP gets…..you guessed it….a Coke. We order our blommin onion and it comes out quickly. Man, why is that thing soooo good? And what do they put in that sauce?

Our salads and entrees follow. I got filet, w/ horseradish bread crumb topping and Bubba got the filet w/ blue cheese bread crumb topping. Medium rare please….and PP got…you guessed it: RIBS. Woody is now running around like a lunatic because this place is jumping….Bubba says, that’s odd because it’s a Friday during Lent. OOPS! I think the no meat thing went out the window at breakfast. It’s vacation, it doesn’t count right???? PP made another huge mess, we paid, we overtipped Woody, we left. But wait….what are all those people doing outside? Oh, they’re waiting for a table. “Got here just in time!” See the trend starting???

In fact I just got home right now from taking PP to Mcdonalds, and as she was eating a bus load of soccer players came stumbling in. She turned to me as we were leaving and said “Looks like we got here just in time….we’re making a habit of this” Even PP noticed our surprising good restaurant karma…and apparently it holds true for Pa. as well as Fl. Yeah us!

We’re off for our evening trip to MK. We took the ferry boat over because it was a beautiful evening (I think only about 6pm at this point) and nothing beats the view of the castle from that boat. I don’t recall where we parked, although, I know it wasn’t Minnie.

Let me back up a second. When we paid for parking in the morning our ticket had a voucher on it for two free pins. I glanced at it, and thought…No way PP will want to do the pin thing…she’s not one for conversing with others and the magic of pin trading will be lost on her. Famous last thoughts. When we returned that evening, the parking attendant looked at our ticket and reminded Bubba to get our two free pins. Of course he turned to the all knowing Disney goddess and asked “What is this pin thing all about?” And of course I knew. Thank you crazy DIS pin collectors for sharing your triumphs in the pin world. One more point for Mom.

Bubba thinks it is a neat concept and that we should give it a try. PP is not sure exactly what it entails, but she’s always up for someone giving her something that doesn’t come out of her $190 stash.

Down Main St. we go….looking for uptown jewelers. Ya’d think I’d pull out a map(since we always seemed to have about 5 for whatever park we were in…..PP is a big fan of maps….she loves to walk and look at it, basically playing frogger with her eyes closed) No…we wander around like unprepared tourists who do no research. Please forgive me DIS, the pin thing was not on my itinerary, how was I supposed to know where uptown jewelers was? We walked to the end of Main St. and I had the common sense to stop and ask a CM…or maybe it was Bubba….This is the one time a man will ask for directions….When Disney is giving something away for free.

We find UJ and are lead into secret room where only the select few with free pin vouchers are allowed. Ok, I’m lying…but we did have to walk all the way to the back of the store where our pin adventure was about to begin.

We see the CMs handing them out and head on over. She gives us this card with two pins on it. Donald Duck to be exact. One to trade, one to keep. PP thinks it’s cool…but I suggest she needs a lanyard to put her pins on. I think it’s a lanyard…it’s the necklace thing….is that a lanyard? If I had any clue we would be pin people, I would have definitely known more about it. All I knew was that you needed a lanyard and CMs basically have to trade with children. Right?

We pick out a pink lanyard when Bubba sees a pin kit. It comes with four pins one from each Disney park. It’s only 22 bucks…a steal. I believe this is the exact moment the pin frenzy began. All PP wants to know is if they have to come out of her money. No, Bubba replies, I want to buy these for you. I think they’re cool. She picks out a Tinker Bell pin with moving wings and decides she will use her money for that. So a million dollars later we are on our way to what would soon become the fastest growing pin collection in all of Disney. Somewhere along the way that night, she found a CM to trade one of her Donalds with. She didn’t exactly ask the CM herself, but with the help of Bubba and Mom, she successfully made her first official pin trade! This is where the name comes into play! Leaving the park that night, I said, hey….when I do my trip report I’m going to call her the Pin Princess, PP for short. PP is not too happy with this name…but after all the cash we dropped on pins…she’ll deal!

Ok, now that we have our pins….we have some rides to do! First things first. We must hit Buzz, before Bubba’s head explodes. We hop in the FP line(remember Bubba got them this morning?) We actually did have to wait about 10 minutes, but that Buzz was mobbed. I of course had read everything there is to know about Buzz and Bubba had not. I try to convince PP to ride with Bubba and steer his car crazy, so I could win, but she wanted Mom. Oh well, I tried. Even with all my knowledge Bubba won….by a lot. And of course it broke down for like 5 minutes, our scores were erased and he still won….by like 30,000 points. Do they rig this thing so only men can hit the good targets? Bubba really enjoys it and mentions we may have to try it again. Ok, but first PP is bugging us to go back on SM.

Remember Bubba got FPs for SM earlier as well. We walk on and have just as much fun as this morning! Bubba claims it’s better at night…but really, can you tell the difference?
I get out of my car about as gracefully as one can with all that wine. I can’t remember if I had two glasses or three. Bubba?????

I insisted we needed to see CoP. This is one of my parents favorites and we always had to endure it as children. I’m not sure I truly love CoP, but think it’s more of a tradition thing. Although, I think the tradition is starting to fade. Now, I know it was like 7:30, and people we lining up for the parade….but we were among 7 other people in the revolving theater. Sad, really. But look on the bright side “There’s a great big beautiful tomorrow”

Up the slanted moving sidewalk to the People Mover….I know, I know, it’s TTA now….but I will always call it the People Mover and that’s final. It is a gorgeous night and we relax a bit, love going through SM and even catch a glimpse of the Parade…don’t ask me what parade…..We’re not parade people.

OOOOH….a parade….you know what that means. No line for Buzz. We’re there! This time PP goes with Bubba. My trickery still didn’t work because of course Bubba had just bought his little PP pins…..So she actually helped him, instead of sabotaging him. I got beat this time by about 100,000 points. I think my gun was broke.

We head towards the TL bridge and realize Wishes is going to start in about 15 min. PP says she would like to stay. Ok, we’re not firework people, but we’re here and it will be neat. They sit on the benches there right before the bridge, and I decide I need to smoke. Oh, and I’ll get PP ice cream while I’m at it. Ha! I was gone for about 30 seconds, when I realized there was no way I was getting through that crowd and safely returning to my family. I go back to the benches and realize no one is anywhere near us. There are people sitting on the bridge, but not on the benches. If smoking offends you, please do not read the following!!!! I lit a cigarette right there on those benches and discreetly smoked it. I also put it out on my shoe and put it back in my pack, as to not litter the MK. I have an addiction, but I’m not scum. Just as I was putting the smoke out, 30 of our closest friends decided to join us on “our” benches. That was a close one.

Wishes begins and we stand on the bridge for a good view. Tink flew directly over us and it was a wonderful way to end our evening. I’m not sure why people cry at this, and I think it’s sweet. But there were just no tears from me. Maybe I’m heartless or maybe fireworks just don’t make me cry.

If only that were the end of our evening. Now we had to get of MK. Fun times ahead. We knew what we were getting ourselves into by staying for Wishes, so we shuffled our feet and slowly got out of there. Now we need a monorail. Hmm….lets see, should we follow those 10,000 people trying to get to the TTC, or should we use one of Mom’s valuable tips from the DIS and jump on the Contemporary Monorail, which has about 10 people getting on it? Bubba just didn’t quite trust me and had to ask a CM if it went to the TTC. Guess what, it does….Duh, would my all knowing DIS friends steer me wrong? I think this saved us about ½ hour, maybe longer…so I’m giving myself 10 points for this one! Bubba hates crowds and waiting….so 10 is a fair number.

We arrive at the tram queue and it is not so bad. Only about 10 people in front of us and they had many trams waiting. No big deal, we’ll just wait. Oh, look, it’s our turn. But we’re near the end of the tram and we discover the new phenomenon called “Everyone who was in line for the last row, just jumps in the row in front of them” What is this???? I’m behind Bubba and PP and I realize he is two seats up on the tram? What is going on, I wonder? But I’m tired and that quick illegal smoke on the benches was not quite enough. I just follow him and hop on. Little did I know, there was a man, from a foreign land….The middle east somewhere, waiting with his eleven children and wife to board the tram. In the midst of all this chaos, he and his family were not able to board this tram. It was full. He proceeds to stand on the yellow line, throwing evil glances Bubba’s way and will not listen to the nice lady on the speaker, asking everyone to step behind the yellow line. I’m oblivious to most of this and find out the entire story later. It really wasn’t Bubba’s fault. And that man did not have to be so nasty to my Bubba(apparently he was saying things during his dirty look rampage). If you were that man, I really am sorry. But I really don’t think someone with that much hatred comes to the DIS.

Here’s what I propose: When the park is emptying out: they need a CM at the tram queue asking “How many in your party?”, just like on every other attraction and tell you what row to sit in. None of this seat bumping, angry foreign man nonsense would have to occur again. Now isn’t that easy? I should work for Disney, I tell ya.

We finally find the obnoxious car and we are heading back to home base. My notes say Wine and sleep and after the last hour of getting out of the MK, I’m sure that is exactly what happened.

That’s all for today! PP is off from school tomorrow and Friday, so I’ll see how much I can get done. Bubba thinks I’m too long winded. If you agree, please speak up, and I will cut out some of the mundane details. Like what we ate, and our server named Woddy!!!

If me and the Chardonnay have a little party tonight, maybe I’ll attempt to begin day 3 later!!!!!

There's no such thing as too many details. My son loved the waiter named Woody, he's young enough to think "Toy Story" not umm...a body part
Your trip report has just the right mix. Thanks for sharing!!!

I am reallly enjoying your report. I can't wait for more. Oh and I love the details, that's what makes the report so entertaining :thumbsup2

Thanks for a great report and keep in the details!
I appreciate you being neat about smoking. I do not like smoking at all, in fact I hate it, but what bothers me more than the smoke is the littered butts! I would never even litter a gum wrapper, and it drives me crazy how people think it is ok to toss butts out of car windows, and throw them on the ground. Non smokers would be much less angry with smokers who are considerate with their litter! Looking forward to your next installment.

DAY THREE SAT. 4/1/06 ITSAKADOOZIE

I had some family in from out of town for Easter, so I apologize about the delay.

Up at 6:30am….Whoa, I slept late today! I go through my morning ritual of coffee making, door slamming, light turning on and my happy little chant “We have a park to go to people….get up! No, it’s not an april fools joke…Get out of bed!” Bubba wakes, and is excited, because he loves Epcot and that is our plan today. PP goes through her ritual of getting dressed under the blankets and taking twenty minutes to put on one sock. Finally we are ready and out the door.

We all decide we do not need to live on the edge by attempting a sit down restaurant again, so it’s back to Golden Corral for us. We really are starting to love this place. We do the zig zag dance around the man giving away free tickets and $100. You all know the dance I’m talking about. Really, does anyone stop for these people? And if they do, do they actually do the timeshare thing? They must be non obsessed, DIS freaks like myself. Even Bubba knows better than to look them directly in the eye.

Today, I remember what I ate. Spinach quiche. Bubba discovered this and knew it was something I would like. Like? Try love. It was the best buffet spinach quiche I’ve ever had. Ok, maybe it was the only one I’ve ever had, but it was good. PP had some cereal and Bubba got an omelet. PP of course wanted ice cream, but when I went to get it for her, it didn’t look too good. Ok, no ice cream for PP. That’s all I need is a food poisoned 8 year old. I’ve worked in the food business for 12 years, and been to many trainings. I’ve seem too many horror stories on the bacteria that can grow in those machines if they are not cleaned properly. Sometimes too much knowledge is a bad thing.

I eat a bit slower today, being there is no castle waiting for me today. Just a golf ball….and frankly, that golf ball does not make me nearly as happy as the castle. We leave GC, do the zig zag dance and we’re off to Eggpot. This is what my little sister and brother used to call it….and even when I say “Epcot”, I still think in my head “Eggpot”.

We arrive at opening and I tell Bubba, “Go right” We want to get as close to the Land as possible. He once again doubts my incredible knowledge. The CMs line us up at the entrance by Innoventions, I think Minnie came out to welcome us and we were off on our Soarin marathon. Let me take a second to comment on possibly the stupidest thing Disney has ever done. Let’s take our most popular ride and stick it in the Land. Hello???? There are steps in there people….do you know how dangerous, a few thousand people trying to get on the same ride at 9am can be???? Ok, I’m done…just had to vent. We made it to the entrance of Soarin without incident, although I did comment, that it was a bit like controlled chaos. I know much of Disney is controlled chaos, but this was by far the craziest. We had to wait maybe about 10 minutes and we were off on our first flight across California.

It’s official, this is our new favorite. Maybe it had something to do with being in the front row. But regardless, it is truly a wonderful ride. Bubba grabs FPs because we liked it so much. Now we are on our way for our agricultural lesson of the day. Living with the Land. I think in WDW there are just some rides you appreciate more as an adult. I remember LWTL being a good ride to go on to get out of the Florida heat. This time around, I really enjoyed, I think PP and Bubba did as well.

It is now time to ride Mom’s favorite attraction as a child. Figment. What did they do to my Figment???? I will admit, the changes improved this ride, however, I wanted to reminisce. It was as if I was riding it for the first time. Which is fun, but just not the same. PP loved Figment(I know it’s called Journey into the Imagination, but I just call it Figment…ok?) We played around a bit in the Imagination pavilion. Bubba and I took a picture of ourselves to email to friends/family. PP was too short and wasn’t all that interested in it anyway. I look great in the picture…Tan, relaxed, like I’m having a great time. Bubba on the other hand looks like his picture should be hanging in the local post office as WANTED. He’s just not photogenic…we’ll leave it at that!

So far our day has been relaxing because we’ve been inside and not doing too much walking. However, upon leaving the nice AC, PP decides she’s hot and wants an ice pop. This is where she discovers ITSAKADOOZIE. Did I spell that right??? Bubba gets her the ice pop and gets himself a pretzel. I on the other hand, need some nicotine, and I need it now. Thank you Epcot for making the smoking areas a bit easier to find than the other parks. I appreciate it.

We head into the Living Seas and think about seeing Turtle Talk. Ok, forget that idea. We don’t do lines. Even for a talking turtle. We’ll hit that show on Thr. We say. We wander around the living seas, PP like looking at the nemo fish, among all the others…That kid just loves animals. I remember at this point, PP has a bit of an attitude. We don’t really know why, maybe the lack of “rides” or maybe she is just a spoiled brat. I’m sure at some point today we’ve already bought her about a thousand pins. What’s her problem? Oh well, she better get over it. I know, lets use our FP for Soarin.

Back to the Land….could they fit anymore people in here? We had to wait about 10 minutes with our FP to ride, but considering the current FP distribution time is like 6pm…it’s not so bad. This time we are in the second row. Is it just me, or can you smell better in the second row? PP and I think so, Bubba just thinks we’re nuts. While we take our little trip across Ca. the woman next to me starts yelling at a teenage boy a few seats down, next to Bubba. He was taking pictures and she was not having it. Now, I know you are not supposed to take pictures….but really, her yelling was much more annoying and distracting than the flash on the boy’s camera. Get over it. The funny thing was though, that originally I thought she was yelling at Bubba. I’m thinking, what on earth is he doing wrong? Nope, teenage boy with a camera! I hope he got some beautiful pictures. If you are reading this, could you send me some copies?

Future World is getting crowded and we’ve decided to do Test Track either when we come back tonight or on Thr. When we come again. We head over to Mexico thinking we may get some lunch. We walk through the village and up to the podium. They have a table right away, problem is, we’re not all that hungry yet and we want to take our boat ride first. Ok, we’ll be back I say! We take the boat ride…enjoy learning about Mexico, but we’re still not hungry. Ok, no Mexican fiesta for us. Honestly, the only reason I wanted to eat here, was for the view. It is so neat sitting under the fake sky over the fake river, eating. Oh well. Not today. We decide to get FPs for TT, Bubba goes as usual, while PP and I scout out a smoking area. Thank you again Epcot. Right there in plain view. I didn’t even have to do the potted plant hurdle. Bubba comes back very excited. The TT FP gave him “free”(his words) FPs for MS. Yeah, you know why? Because people die on that thing….WDW has to force people to ride it by distributing “free” FPs. I already knew I didn’t want to ride it, and that PP wouldn’t be going on it….But if Bubba wants to risk his life….go right ahead. Oh, I forgot to mention…the FPs were for right now.

Ok Bubba you go ahead PP and I will meet you in Mouse Gear. “Wait Bubba, you have all the money” (This is a regular thing for us. He carries the money and then I wander around dying of thirst or really needing to buy PP another pin with not so much as a quarter in my pocket). It’s not really a controlling thing on Bubba’s part(well maybe just a little) It’s more of a “Mom is a mess with money, and will either lose it, forget how much she has or spend it all thing” Bubba gives me some cash…how nice of him….and we’re off to Mouse Gear. PP finds a medallion for her lanyard, as well as 2 other pins she just has to have. I make her a deal, I’ll buy the two pins for her, if she buys the medallion. Good deal mom! We also got a tube filled with flavored sugar….what every 8 year old needs! And I got some Swedish fish and other assorted junk. We went to wait on a bench outside of MG, waiting for Bubba. We proceed to eat all the junk I bought….finally Bubba returns. Alive, but green. He says it was not that bad, but that he is a little dizzy and his stomach doesn’t feel that good. Oh, that’s great. I told you not to ride it. I have no sympathy. Oh look, we’re out of Swedish fish…lets go back into MG and grab some more.

An aside note: Last week Bubba emailed me the story about the German woman dying after riding MS. His comments were “Ok, never riding that again” I will not comment on my true feelings about this ride, especially in light of what happened last week. Ok, I will say this: This is not a Disney attraction and it needs to go. That’s all I’ll say.

We’re all wearing down a bit now, so we decide to head back to home base. On the 2 minute drive PP and I decide we’re hungry. Bubba had that huge pretzel, so he’s not. Ok, no problem. We’ll get Wendy’s. Because you all know we came all the way to WDW, Orlando Fl. To eat at Wendy’s. PP and I get salads, because it is like 1pm and we don’t want to ruin our appetite for dinner. Which by the way, is undecided at this point. We eat our Wendys at the hotel, I think I had some box o wine with it. Yummy. PP wants to go swimming. Into our suits we change and we’re off. Bubba still does not feel too good, so he naps. Told you Bubba!!! I decide I need a Pina Colada and PP is floating around in the shallow end. I finish my cocktail and jump in with her. I love the sun, and I love swimming. PP shares the same love and is a happy little kid in the pool. This is where I decide to give her the third degree on her attitude earlier. Because we are swimming and in a good mood. PP decides to level with me. Apparently the attitude started about the time Bubba suggested Turtle Talk. PP had heard about this and didn’t want to sit on the floor with the other kids or have to talk to anyone but Mom and Dad. (I told you she was shy) Ok, well why didn’t you just say that, instead of being grumpy the rest of the day? She didn’t want to make Bubba feel bad, because he really wanted to do it. Ok, moot point, because the line was too long and we don’t do lines. But I inform her that when we do see it, she doesn’t have to sit with the other kids. She can sit with us. Problem solved.

We take our prune like bodies out of the water and head back to the room. We still have to decide on dinner. It is only about 3 or 4, so we have time. Bubba and I love Carrabas. PP hates Carrabas. We had all agreed before we left, there would be no mention of going to Carrabas. It is an odd phenomenon with PP. She absolutely hates this place. She’s only been there two times. The first time she said it was too dark. The second time she refused to eat. She may be shy, but she is stubborn. I didn’t want to cause a war, so I made Bubba agree not to mention Carrabas during our trip. HA! It was directly across the street and we had to see it every day. PP is in the bathroom when Bubba mentions Carrabas. I shoot him the evil eye….why are you doing this I say? But wait…PP has an offer….she is not flipping out….her wheels are turning. “Ok”, she says. I’ll go. What did you say? Oh, there are terms?? We have to buy her two pins, go miniature golfing tonight instead of returning to Epcot and we have to sit at the counter where they cook.

You may think these are pretty steep terms, however look at it this way: We were planning on buying her some more pins anyway, we already had decided we needed the night off and would go golfing and sitting at the counter wound up working in our favor. Ok, you have yourself a deal!!!!

I shower, PP puts her hair in a rats nest of a pony tail and we’re off to dinner. Very excited I might add. I told you , we don’t get out much. The dining room seems busy, but no problem, we want to sit at the counter. You’re in luck….three seats directly in front of the pasta chef.

I’ll be back a bit later with the rest of day 3! Will this report ever end???

I'm going to post a few picture so all of my dedicated readers have a face to go with the names!

I'll start with one, because I'm new at this picture thing! Keep your fingers crossed.

Here is Bubba and PP with the obnoxious car, we will never lose!
