Our surprise May 2011 Trip to AKL - my first PTR! Final Update 5/18!

Oh my goodness no I don't feel ready!

Most everything is packed except the stuff we still need for today and tomorrow, which is only a few things (cell phone chargers, etc) I hope it will all fit, our bags are full and I definitely don't feel like I overpacked.

I have a to do list a mile long, and I have to go to work soon. I hope we can get it all done! I'll try to make a final update tomorrow!

the pics of Nemo. He looks like such a sweet boy! Too funny on the hair bands, that is exactly what my cat and dog like to play with as well. I really have to watch the dogs, though, sometimes they will inevitably swallow one of them and *** WARNING TMI*** see them when I clean up the yard....YUCK!
I really like your plans of leaving clothes baskets and boxes around for him to lounge around in, too.

I bet you are bursting at the seams with excitement of your upcoming trip. Can you believe you will be in Disney by weeks end???

Very cute cat pictures and stories!

Reminds me of our beloved cat Charlie. His favorite toy was the ring tab you pull off of the cap for a gallon of milk. He would chace that thing all over the place and we would find them EVERYWHERE!

Have a FANTASTIC trip!!! So well deserved after your super stressful spring.

Can't wait to hear about all your adventures- especially the food related ones!!!

Well, I can't believe it's that time already... this is my last update from home before we leave for Disney in a few hours! I only have a few things to do, and then I'm getting in bed since my alarm clock will be going off at o'dark thirty (well, actually 2 am) I probably should be in bed already, but even if I was finished everything on my to do list, I'd be too excited to sleep! We have to stop at Walmart before we hit the road to the airport so we can hopefully score a disposable waterproof camera for our day at Blizzard Beach. I totally forgot about it until today. I think I'll be able to squeeze everything in to our suitcases, and I even put them on the scale to make sure they weren't more than 50 lbs. I forgot to take into consideration that it was going to cost $25 per bag each way - that's another $100 Oh well, too late now! I didn't do online check in for our flights since we have assigned seats.

I'm taking my ipod touch with me, but I doubt you'll hear from me until we get home next week.

To everyone that is leaving before I get back - I hope you have a great trip and I can't wait to read all these fabulous trip reports this summer! Thank you to each and every one of you who has been reading along, this PTR has been fun but next stop is my first TR! Hopefully something fun will happen while we're in Disney so I'll have a snazzy title for it ​

It is funny, he has so many real cat toys, but he wants my hair ties - not the old stretched out ones (those are the ones I am stuck with) he wants the new ones. Haha, that would be funny to find them in the yard I'm not allowed to scoop cat litter, and my DH has never said if he found any in the litter box.

I cannot believe that it is time for me to go! I will have tons of food pics, for sure - probably more pics of food than anything else LOL.

Thanks Dee! I'll be back before you know it with lots of food pics. I still laugh when you said your TR should be called 'is it bad that I have more pictures of food than of my kids?' haha Nemo loves milk rings too, and also the plastic tabs from Minute Maid orange juice. And bread ties. They end up underneath of lots of things so we are always finding them too.

I've never had a dog, but I would love to have one - unfortunately our schedules do not allow us to have one. I love my Nemo though, I probably treat him more like a person than I should haha.

I have lots of pictures to go through, and I haven't even looked at our photopass pictures yet. I plan to start my trip report as soon as I can, but it will probably be a few more days - I picked up shifts today & tomorrow at work, I had to start working on a paper for my online nursing course as soon as I got home, and the class I actually have to go to for the summer starts this week.
