It has been brought to my attention that I haven't posted many pictures of us - for those of you who have overlapping trips with me, if you see us don't hesitate to say hi, we don't bite unless we are hungry j/k

My name is Melissa, and my husband's name is Daniel - he is significantly taller than me, so we shouldn't be too hard to spot if you see us, he is 6'3" and I'm well, more than a foot shorter than that

8 more days! I rocked the HESI tonight, and am not stressed about my final tomorrow night so I am definitely relaxing and going to spend some time with DH. I've got major house cleaning and other stuff to do to get ready for vacation, and make sure I don't need to buy anything else. I'll update this weekend of my progress. ​

So I had another Disney nightmare last night...

When we got to the airport we realized we had Dory, my parents (evil) cat in the car with us and we couldn't leave her in the car at the airport for a week while we were on vacation! So, my DH stayed at the airport, and I drove her to my parents house. But then my parents made me go antique shopping (which they don't do LOL) and I kept yelling but I have to go to the airport! In my parents neighborhood there were a ton of large brown bears, Moose, and really big deer blocking my way out of there. Then, I drove 40 miles to a different city where there is no airport, and then had to drive to the right city which at this point I was 2 hours away from. My DH flew to Orlando without me, and when I finally got to the airport I was crying hysterically. I waited and waited and waited for them to tell me if they could get me on a flight to Orlando. Then I realized I had no luggage! This girl from my nursing class shows up with my luggage, and I realized I never finished packing, I only had with me what I have in there now and my carryon was empty. I don't know if I ever got on the plane or not, but I do remember my DH being in Disney eating Mickey bars.​

6 DAYS!!!!!! So excited for you guys! And I'm so sorry about the nightmare! I usually dream something like not waking up in time, forgetting luggage, or leaving DH at home.

I got an A on my final, so this semester ended up being my best one yet! It feels weird to be done, I feel like I should be studying! But instead, it's Disney World vacation time! I feel like there is SO much to do, and I don't know where to start! Yesterday I did 4 loads of laundry and cleaned the house a bit. Today I won't be doing any cleaning since it's Sunday, but I need to figure out what all I need to print to take with us (park hours, etc.) and go down my packing list and see if there is anything I can pack that we don't need before then. We haven't been on a vacation since our trip to Disney in August '09 so I'm feeling like I am going to forget what needs done before we leave. Plus this is the first time we're leaving since finding Nemo (haha) so I'm worried about him too. Someone tell me to quit worrying and that everything will be okay.

I think that is why I am stressing about this vacation, the silly nightmares! I know once we are at the airport everything will be fine but the next 4 days I am going to be a mess!

Well, it's a good thing I went to Disney's web page to print off park hours -they have all changed since the last time I looked at them.
That means some changes to our plans & dining plans... so I think I have everything all squared away and will update our new final plans tonight. But I was definitely freaking out!

The good news is that we have a definite day to spend at Blizzard Beach now, so I am trying to find as much information as possible to make that go smooth since we have never been there.

OH MY! He looks like a soft snuggle bear! SOOOO CUTE! Thanks for posting. We went to a pet store yesterday and they were having pet adoptions going on. I found the cutest kitten there and DH had to remind me that we already had 2 cats, 2 dogs and 3 fish tanks. We really don't have room for anymore, even though DD keeps hinting around about a gerbil. I don't want to be known as an animal hoarder. I think we have enough.

I haven't check the park schedules for a while either. I will have to do that and see what has changed...

He's definitely my buddy bear! I am such a sucker for animals, I wish we had more space so I could adopt more. It sounds like you have a bunch of fur babies! (and a couple scaly ones too!)

I'm glad I looked today, when I was first planning Fantasmic! was only 2 or 3 times the week we were going to be there, now it's twice a night every night except our arrival night, and the hours were extended most nights. The changes were for the better, but I of course had a cow first.

I cannot wait to destress at Disney! Hmm, that sounds like an interesting dream - I wonder what it means? Buy more flood insurance? no really, I don't know. Thanks! I'm glad I did well and passed, otherwise I would not have a good time at Disney. Thanks! I'd like to think we make a cute couple. I'm definitely looking forward to eating all that yummy food and doing a TR. On our last 3 trips it seems like it goes so fast and I can't remember what happens from one day to the next. I plan to somehow make my TR into a scrapbook so I have an account of this trip.

So as I mentioned, thanks to me stumbling on tons of park hour changes for our week in Disney - there have been some changes - ch ch cha changes if you will. Is that song stuck in your head? You're welcome!
Time may change me, but I can't change time

Day 1, 2, and 3 are pretty much the same. The only exception is that day 3, the MK is open until 1am instead of 11pm, and it's not extra magic hours. How late we stay will depend on how tired we are and the crowd level.

Day 4 is a total change - we are going to eat breakfast at AKL, and then head to Blizzard Beach when it opens at 10 am, have lunch there, and hopefully stay til it closes at 5pm to get our money's worth. I just read something about amazing mini donuts so I can't wait! Yes, it's all about the food at Disney. I eat super healthy at home so I'm going all out on vacation! After we leave BB, we'll be heading back to AKL to hopefully catch a quick nap, and get ready for the second half of the day. I pushed our ADR at GFC back to 8pm. After dinner, we'll take the monorail to the MK. Then we will stay there as long as we can stay awake, as the EMH are now until 3am! This was the day we were going to go to AK at 8am for EMH, and eat breakfast at Tusker House. The park still opens at 8am that day, but it is not EMH, it's open to the public so that is why we decided not to hit up AK (and we won't have to get up as early!)

Day 5 is also changed - it is still our sleep in day, we'll get some beignets at POFQ and head to DD for some Earl of Sandwich for lunch. Then instead of heading to AK and eating at Yak & Yeti, we'll be heading to HS and eating dinner at Mama Melrose. EMH at HS were 7-10pm, but now the park is open until 10 and EMH are 10pm-1am. We'll probably catch the 9pm Fantasmic! and then stay as late as we can. I'm prematurely old so we'll see how long I can keep my eyes open!

Day 6 - The first half of this day is the same, it's morning EMH at Epcot, we'll stay there until at least lunch time. Instead of heading to HS and eating at Mama Melrose and seeing Fantasmic, we'll be heading to AK which is open until 7pm. We will be eating at Yak & Yeti at 6:45 pm. Then it's up in the air - we could head to DD, or back to AKL and relax. MK is open until 9pm, and HS is open until 10pm. Not sure where we will end up!

Day 7 - The first half of this day is the same too, since it's still morning EMH at HS. We'll stay here until after lunch. After our break, we'll be heading to Epcot for our ADR at Les Chefs de France. Instead of booking it out of WS and spending our last night at MK, we're probably just going to stay at Epcot.

I hope we did a good job of splitting our time between the parks. If any were slighted, it was AK but since they aren't open very late, it's hard to spend as much time there. I think it will be okay, it's my least favorite park anyway ​

The new plans look great. I don't know if I posted on your PTR or not, but your photos are beautiful, and it is great to honeymoon at Disney, isn't it lol I can't wait to hear how you like AKL!! And there are tons of EMH's for you to enjoy - although personally I always plan on staying later than I actually do

I love your new plans! Were you able to score your ADRs?

Yes! My DH had doubts, but I got what we wanted. I've actually changed ADRs several times since we booked our trip in February. Maybe the crowds won't be so heavy? I did all the ADRs online and sometimes when I log in, it says it cannot find any of my reservations so my DH is nervous they didn't go through, but I have all the email confirmation numbers. I'm having trouble canceling some of the old ones, but I'll try again tomorrow.

Yes! Somehow I managed to squeeze in more down time, so I am pumped about that. I am just shocked at how much the hours changed - it was all in our favor though, but I was definitely surprised.

thanks for reading my PTR! Thank you! Yes, I loved honeymooning at Disney! Any excuse for a trip is fine by me though I do like the EMH, I hope we are able to take advantage of them. I doubt we'll be seeing rope drop at 8am like I have planned on most mornings but we an pretend At least we'll make it to the ones in the evening! I guess it's hard to do both since the evening EMH are so late - 3 am?! That is way passed my bedtime!

yes, my hair ties! His absolute favorite toy is that stretched out hair tie, tied to a piece of ribbon he fished (sorry I had to!) out of the trash.

I plan to leave all the laundry baskets empty and scattered around the house. He LOVES to lay in them.

And boxes too....

yeah he's pretty big, he's stuffed pretty good into that paper box!
