cynditech, I did the puzzle thing also for my 3 grandsons. They each got a puzzle to put together on Christmas. The first puzzle said "Get ready to have fun", the second one said "we are going on" and the third puzzle said "The
Disney Cruise." The older (10 yo) grandson looked like he could have cared less, the other two, who were 8 and 6 years old were very happy although I think I was more excited about them doing the puzzles and finding out about the trip than any of them were once they did find out. I had been looking forward to it and anticipating it for months.
Another time I got a big box and put some helium balloons in it. When they opened the box the balloons came out and on the end of one of the balloons was a note saying that we were going to Disney World the next morning. Again, I was the one who was the most excited. lol
