I like both new dresses. I think your thoughts of where to wear them each are good and I'd choose a pearl (white or pink) bracelet if you have it to wear with the pink second one. The metallic flats sound good too, but in the end you have to be comfortable with it.

Your dresses are very pretty! The pink one seems a little dressy for Disney, but you could always wear it to a nice dinner and then change! I'm thinking of getting a dress for Artist Point too, and I'm SOOOO not a dress girl! We'll see!

I know - can't quite believe it myself! One minute it was 99 days and now were on 79! How long until 89 days for you? It'll be here before you know it.

Thank you That's what I thought as well - will only be wearing it for the meal to CG and then returning to Pop or getting changed if we plan to go on somewhere else. Oh you should def dress up for AP esp as you will be at the resort anyway so you can get changed afterwards. I never used to be a dress girl either - growing up with two boys meant I was tomboy all through my teens! My mum hated it - she was always on at me to act more like a girl!

I'm just a bit worried that the color being what it is may make me look silly with a tan but I think I should be alright from what you all are saying! Think I will take it with the original dress as a back up - just in case

I'm trying to be more of a "dress" girl. I'm all about being comfy and casual, but sometimes tees and shorts can be a bit sloppy... so I'm trying to work more dresses and skirts into my wardrobe. I actually just bought a new sundress yesterday that I'm thinking of wearing on the plane ride to WDW!

On one hand though, it would take up room in the suitcase for something that you wouldn't want to wear in the parks. It would be great for nice dinners, but I could see the other dresses going from parks to dinner. I just wouldn't want to pack something that I will only wear one time when I fly since you have to be very concerned with suitcase space!

Opinion on the pink dress: It is gorgeous! The neckline is terrific and with silver metallic shoes - WOW - for a night on the town...It reads as too dressy for Disney unless you are going to V&A. Cali Grill will still have people in khaki shorts rolleyes1) so no need to be over dressed.

Not sure if it is because I am older or pragmatic, but...

Here's the mom spiel (even though I am not really old enough to be your mom)...You need to return the dress. You are concerned about the color, so no amount of comments from us will change that. You LOVE the first dress and it makes you happy. From what it sounds like, you WANT to love the second dress, but when you put it on, you have doubts...I don't even think you should keep it to wear at home--it will be the dress in your closet that you want to wear, but you will always grab something else...

Take it back and buy another later that makes you feel as wonderful as the first... You beam when you talk about that dress...you sound hesitant about the second...

So I guess now each can weigh in...old or pragmatic?

Thank you! I hope so - still thinking about whether it really is a good idea to keep it. Can you tell I'm indecisive? If I did keep it think it may be best to wear it to CG as we are hoping to head back to MK after our AP dinner - it will be our last night at Disney and we have planned to see Wishes at MK.

Thank you! I really want to keep that one but a part of me is telling me to return it as it will not be worn as many times as some of my other dresses. I have until Wed to decide as am going to watch a film at the mall where I bought that dress.

Never even thought of suitcase space. You are so right - if I did take it with me it would only get worn once where as I could pack something else that would get worn several times. Think if I had booked V&A then I may have taken it but with CG and AP I can get by on the other dresses

Lol, thanks for the mom spiel (and no you are definitely not old enough to be my mom) - you have hit the nail on the head! That is exactly how I feel. I sort of think well it was in the sale so even if I keep it and do not use it as much there's nothing to lose. You are right though, I will prob always find an excuse as to why I can not wear it and why something else would go much better. I should really return it but don't want to! Like I said earlier have until Wednesday to make my mind up. May put it on again and see if I feel any different.

Hi everyone! Hope you are having a good week so far.

I didn’t watch a movie this week (will try and catch up with the next one for the weekend), however I do have some other news to share with you. The pink dress is going back today (insert sad and depressing music here) however the refund from that plus the money we have saved in our penny jar is going towards (wait for it)….

MNSSHP tickets!!! Woohoo

We are going to the party on 23 September 2011. I’m sooo excited and do not feel too bad about returning the dress!

The things I want to do at the party are:

Watch Hallowishes from the park.

Watch Villains Mix and Mingle as well as the Boo to You Parade.

Meet Flynn Rider (thanks Caretames1 for informing me that he will no longer be at the MK M&G), Aladdin and Jasmine, Seven Dwarves, Captain Hook and the characters after the Villains Show. If I meet any other characters that will be a bonus.

In terms of rides the only ones of interest will be POTC, Splash Mountain, BTMRR and The Haunted Mansion.

I also need to get plenty of candy!

I know Zaheer will def not be dressing up but may just see if I can get a Minnie type dress for the event.

I am soo excited to be sharing this news. Is there anything I have not mentioned that you think I must do at the party.

Hope you all enjoy the rest of your week. I’m off to return the dress and watch the new Transformers movie (hopefully it’ll be a good watch)!

Woohoo That's so exciting that you got MNSSHP tickets! You definitely covered all of the stuff I know about in your plans. Now you just have to work on getting Zaheer to dress up At the very least he has to wear a halloween themed t-shirt. I was suprised when I told Matt that we had to dress up for the party and he said "well we might as well go all out since we're going to the party" Never thought I'd hear that come out of his mouth.

I am so happy that you are going, I know that you are going to have a great time. It would be cool if you could both dress up! I don't know if we will dress up, Adam is up for it on the condition that I don't want him to dress up as something "lame". The real problem is I just can't be bothered to find something , and I just keep thinking about how hot it will be in a costume. Hopefully I just come across something randomly that works.
