Sorry I have not been good at keeping up on reader responses lately. But your posts mean a lot to me, so thanks for being so faithful in reading and posting comments. I hope to have at least one more episode soon that covers our return trip with a funny incident that happens on the plane.
Great installment! I also gasped out loud over the pool hoopers!
Not to toot my own horn, Kay, but you will be making an appearance in my trip report - I even have a picture to post for you... of course, at the rate I'm going, no hurry getting over to look, it's gonna be at least 2 weeks before I get to the incident!

tiggerbell: I’m looking forward to seeing your report. I hope things will moderate at work so I have a bit more free time. I haven’t had time to write my own report lately, much less read anyone elses!
WOOOHOOOO!!!!
I made it to the end! Oh wait it's not really the end it's just the artificial end of a story not quite finished.

Maybe there will be some new episodes this weekend.

Anjibaby: I am so glad you are enjoying my “story.” I have a bit more coming, so stay tuned.
Kay,
I'm a barnacle! Please post another installment, even if it's the last one.
Marie

mmeb144 aka Marie: Thanks so much for your enthusiastic support. I have enjoyed having you as a reader.
Nice to see a new update, Kay - it was worth the wait, as always.

oybolshoi: Thanks for the kind words. I am falling behind on your report again, but I’ll get there eventually.
Hi, Kay, so sad to see your trip end. Great as always.
Years ago, we tried to get the restrooms at the Grand upgraded. The Yacht & Beach had just opened a year or 2 before with marble floors and walls, and tile mosaic in the one near the pool, while the Grand had old laminate brown partitions.
I went around all the restrooms at the Grand and the Y&B getting pictures for the review committee. We didn't get the money then, but eventually they did. So I get the taking pics in restrooms thing.

Backstage_Gal: Taking bathroom photos might be an interesting addition to your resume. It certainly is a rather odd part of one’s job description!
Enjoyed this episode, too. Glad you had a nice relaxing partial day before departure.
People watching is one of the best parts of vacations, isn't it? I, too, have wondered at the amount of luggage some people travel with. It surely does seem that they're moving in permanently! I don't know how they do it -- traveling light is sooooo much easier.

iluvsushi: There are so many times we’ve had to run to make connections, or we’ve changed flights at the last minute, that I am sure checked luggage would never have gotten on the plane in time. It’s comforting to have only carry on bags and know that the things you need will be with you when you get to your destination.
Wave: truebelievers: Hi! Yes, better late than never, thanks a lot for taking time to let me know you’re reading.
Kay - so sorry to see your TR end, every segment was funny, informative and very entertaining! Yours was the first TR I've read from beginning to end. You are an amazing writer!

TigerKat: Stay tuned for the final episode which we see us home and reunited with our own Tiger Kat!
Excellent finale and trippie!!! I am glad that you found the magic and relaxation of Disney!

It’s not quite the finale, but very close. I’m glad you found my report and have enjoyed reading it. I’ve had a great time sharing my experiences with all of you.
Thanks for sharing your "pinch me so I know this is really happening" moment with us, Kay!
Also, just thought I'd clarify -- several posts ago, the comment I made about my sister and I traveling with our bands . . . I was just referring to high school band trips to festivals and such.

Minnie_Moo: School bands! Okay, I thought maybe you were with a rock band! You could have been the lead singer: Minnie_Moo and the Cool Calves!
Glad to see you back, Kay! It was worth the wait. Sad to read about your last day of vacation, but you really made the most of your four days. What a trip! I'm sure I'm not the only reader who will think of you whilst at Disney and remember your funny take on things. As usual, great pics. The redneck concierge is something I'll remember to look for if I'm ever at the WL. It just looks so cozy!
So, was your cat glad to see you when you arrived home or did you get the "I don't remember you" snob treatment?
Don't work too hard (at your job AND out in the yard!). Us barnacles will wait for ya!

SunKat: I would be honored if you take away any funny ideas or useful tips from my report. Thanks for being such a faithful reader.

Hi Grammyof2! I haven’t seen you in a while. Thanks for stopping by!
Well, it's glad to be back! Kay, have missed you and your trip report!
But guess what's it's like...finding out the last time I read your report was about page 17 and now it's page 58 or so!
Yes, I survived WDW in Feb! Gasp! but you just can't believe what's happened since then!
I arrived back from the world to find my boss on his way out! which translates me to working about 60 hours a week and my hubby down and out. He had an accident at work and is still home on Workman's Comp, plus with illness in the family and then my computer blew up, and then the dog died, just kidding about the dog.....well, FINALLY my life has at least returned to some semblance
of order....back to 40 hours a week at work They took 2 1/2 months to find a new boss!
Illness is all resolved. New computer after I spent a month trying to find someone to fix the old one and
to make a very long story short....here I am ready to catch up!
Need to read all day and be very content. I can not imagine what I have missed. I can't wait! Hope I find out everything is all right with you and Lowell....
Missed ya, mean it.

wvgoofyfan: I have missed you, too. You were such an enthusiastic fan. You really kept me motivated to write. I’m sorry to hear about all your job and computer problems etc. Anyway, thanks for coming back, and I hope you get a lot of enjoyment catching up on my story.
I can't believe I have a virtual-real-life friend who takes pictures of Disney loos and is a card-carrying member of the Resort Mug Police!!!
But I do, and I have loved this Trip Report like none other!!!
It truly is a hall-o-famer!!!!!!
And I'll miss all your shinanigans! (my spell check tells me I spelt that wrong...ooops!).
Shirley you'll do an Epilogue?

UtahMama! It’s so good to “see you!” Yes, you have a friend is part of the Pool Hopper and Mug Police. And I take pictures of bathrooms and eat off other people’s plates. What a strange combination of behaviors. Are you sure you want to be my friend?
Always sad when a trip ends but this installment, just like all the rest, was well worth the wait.

And you're not the only one who takes bathroom pics. Glad to see I'm part of an elite group, as any group with you as a member is surely the one to join. Way back in '89 my dearest auntie got me started at the tender age of 7 on my first WDW trip. We stayed at the Grand Floridian and I was overcome by the existence of a phone in the bathroom! My aunt then proceeded to snap shots of the entire bathroom and instructed me to always remember to scope out the bathroom and take pictures for posterity. To this day I still take pics of bathrooms whenever I am on vacation and email them to her.

C. Marie: Another person who takes bathroom photos! I must say that some of the WDW bathrooms are absolutely gorgeous.
Kay, I've been too busy and haven't been dis-ing very much lately. As always, I've enjoyed the last 2 installments. I totally hear you on the importance of vacation. There were 5 of us kids, and we took two trips to an uncles house in CT, and one overnight in a motel with a pool in NH while growing up. Otherwise, it was one day trip to a local amusement park each summer. But we had so much fun out playing safely in the neighborhood all summer long, and times are different now. I have put vacation pretty high up on my priority list, right after paying the heat bills. I love the memories I make with my son, and we have some of the best times getting away from the day to day stuff, and just having fun.
I love this. It's hard to believe this trip was only 2+1/2 days. You definitely savored it and have share it with all of us to savor as well. Thanks

mikamah: I’m glad you are making great memories with your son. The day trips are a lot of fun, too, but WDW is really special.
