our secret green club?

Sorry folks! i was just trying to catch up on the 10+ pages i'd missed..

OKAY...

THE MEET.

so, i went to work today, all giddy and excited, and i brewed my hazelnut coffee, as promised, and got my bag of hazelnut coffee ready for them to take to the motherland. My register girl (and Best Friend) Jill was excited because i offered to do register this morning because i wanted to make sure i didn't miss them.

we had discussed on the boards, that they would bring me a LGMH to identify themselves. obviously, i don't get a lot of these handed to me so i knew it would be them.

but funny enough, i knew it was them before they handed me my 2 LGMH -- They made one for Steve...HOW COOL!?

so i hooked up PD with some coffee and i turned over my register to Jill and i went out and got to meet the WHOLE FAMILY! (including miss Lizzy!) how FUN! Mr. Dad says, "oh no, she's one of them!" and they had those Lime green luggage tags from target..the same ones i had!

we chatted for a bit and then i had to go back to work, so i sent them off with a whole pound of fresh hazelnut coffee...

IT MADE MY DAY!!

Can I please joint the secret club too??? I already have a bunch of green mickey heads from Home Depot (along with a bunch of other colors - I actually started collecting them for my scrapbook projects!) Just so you know, I'll be employing my DD11 in my swiping scheme - she always grabs a ton of samples every time we are at Home Depot anyway, I'll just point her at the ones I want/need!!!

We'll be at WL this Christmas and I'll definitely be decorating the door with my Mickey heads (DH already thinks I'm crazy, so this will be nothing new!!!)

Xmas @ WDW is great - natch! Osborne lights are incredible, wear your shades.

Dis Unc - having babies is "catchy"...1st an Unc, then a Pa! More the merrier to drag to WDW IMO.

why do I always get to the cliff notes after I have read 5 or 6 pages?

Hey y'all...just got back from the beach and thought I'd check in..had no idea I had about 12 pages to read...you guys are busy little beavers with all your trip planning...

don't know if I can go-I would love to, but can't commit to anything that far away. At least it means that this thread should go on for a long, long time!!

I had a wardrobe malfunction at the beach today.. Oh yeah, the Janet Jackson kind. I was bending over to move some of our stuff out of the incoming tide, and I felt this snap like a sling shot, then my top to my swim suit start to fall. It all happened so quick, I have no idea if I caught it in time...some people may have gotten a little show..

I had my DH get my shirt for me while I clutched my top..It took him 4EVER to catch on..men....I didn't hear anyone laugh , choke , or scream , so I don't think any(many) saw me...

Later I asked DH if was going to pass the hat for the show...he had this grin that said "you should go around and pay them!" He didn't say it, but I was thinkin' it..

Luckily after having two kids, there isn't much modesty left in me...I survived. Now I need to run to WalMart to see if they have a replacement thingy to go on the strap of my swim suit..I will be looking for one made of metal...

update on the house of blues. Ds #2 has strep throat. Had to miss a birthday party

Ds1 was looking pretty much like he was on his way during the party but wouldn't admit that he didn't feel well until after the party ended. So far just cough, fever and headache for him so it sounds like it is unrelated to ds#2.

What a weekend here. Bring on the gatorade, jello and popsicles.


Don't think we'd be able to swing a trip next august. August is tough for us because school starts early around here and we have hockey tryouts in august too. Bummer.

I have been swiping LGMH from HD for a while now and stashing them in the back of my closet so my DH doesn't find them. He already things that I've lost my mind to the mouse, this will just confirm it.

hrh - the beach (lucky duck!)...you could have pretended you were one of those European women. I've had the same problem, especially on waterslides/wavepools. It's gotten so when my family sees me hovering under the water...ala a manatee, they know what's up.LOL

Becky Welcome !!!!!!!!! I just swiped 27 LGMH myself today. Took the kids it was a very very hard job to swipe with my 3 kids. On the way out my oldest son says very loud don't we have to pay for these isn't it stealing mom? I was so embarrased I just told him very loud that Paint samples are free you don't have to pay for them and the cm just smiled at me. Close Call !!!!!!!!

Pop Century then WL for 2 days sounds good to me. I've never stayed at the WL before. I am so glad it is almost bedtime. Is it September yet? I can't wait for school to start.

I live in the buckle of the bible belt...We don't allow that kind of goings on at our beaches.. Actually, I have yet to see a banana hammock or thong at all on this beach..it isn't the big tourist beach, a lot of families...The smallest ss I have seen on a man is what my DH wears...yes, I have been keeping a secret from y'all, he is a SpeeDO kind of guy..He used to be on the swim team/dive team in HS and college, so I guess that may explain it. I have never really liked Speedos, but I'll tell ya (not bragging-has nothing to do with me) he can actually pull it off..He has a very fit body of a man half his age...Wish I could say the same about me....except...that...well...exchange "man" for "woman"....ohhhhhforgetit....

Anywho...don't let the Speedo jokes stop, I think they are hilarious!!

Sure wish we could join you next August for the Magical Gathering of Mickey Headers, but we're doing a Disney cruise in January and a family gathering in May, so that should pretty much wipe out my piggy bank, my checking account, and my life savings!
