At lunch today with DS11 who said "Mom...Home Depot is right across the street. If we eat fast, we can grab some more LGMHPC's before our appointment" I was oh so proud! And alas, we did not have time. "Maybe tomorrow", my DS said. Training him well!!

Thanks again for all your good wishes. I really had a wonderful birthday. My best friend (who, naturally, drives a LIME GREEN VW) took me out to lunch at a fabulous little hole-in-the-wall restaurant I had not yet tried, then I spent THREE!!! quiet hours reading a novel while my kids did not bug me AT ALL. Then my parents took us all out to dinner at one of our favorite local restaurants. I'm a little chubbier, but all in all, it was a great day. (Oh yeah, also, all my dearest lime green friends sent me lovely birthday wishes all day long )

Life is good! (P.S. I am not actually 29 today. I'm really 14. Oops, did I get the order of those numerals wrong? Birthday dyslexia! lol)

Well, not yet, but I hope eventually it will get around to a trashy moment or two.

Actually, I found the hardback version of Nora Roberts' "Blue Smoke" at the library fundraiser the other day for $2. I go for the murder-mystery-romance type and this is shaping up to be a good one.

Little known fact about me: I am a college English professor and spend heaps of time reading "intellectual stuff" throughout the school year. So when I have a bit of downtime, GIMME THE FLUFF! Nora Roberts is one of my favorite escapes and I also love the "In Death" series under her pen name J.D. Robb. Roarke is soooo hunky!
