Looks like with all of this involved you're both just going to have to come to my den to meet!!!!! We have a big pot!!! And some Old Bay - but no Crab Boil?! (I was JUST looking at a recipe for crab and corn chowder and they called for Crab Boil [capital letters - as in a Brand name...] - so here's a question - think they are interchangeable, recipe-wise??)

Why dont you all come - I'll make a LOt of chowder?!!

You've gotta be kidding me. I brought home about 20 soaps and 6 or 7 shampoos from my trip. That's a heck of a lot of money for Ivory soap wrapped in Mickey paper. On the other hand, how Ivory soap reminds me of happy times. But, yeah, shipping to Canada is no laughing matter. I've had to ship things to a friend a few times and it's been really expensive. Consider yourself lucky, though. I mailed a 1 lb 2 oz package to the Netherlands for my grandma today and Global Express Mail was $30.50 US!!!!

I also have an abundance of soaps and shampoos. I was cleaning out my attic a few weeks ago, and came across some I had set aside along with a bunch of little toys and Mickey D happy meal prizes that we didn't open. Took a HUGE boxful of stuff into DS6's teacher for her "treasure box"...Guess what DS6 brought home from the treasure box this week....you guessed it, a WDW Mickey mouse resort soap...

Hey, now! Just because I live in CA doesn't mean I never see snow! In fact, I live just at the base of the highest mountain on So Cal, so we actually are closer to snow than the beach and we get snow here at my house about once or twice a year. Exhibit A: Here's my front yard in Nov 04:

Look at my poor palm tree! I have been skiing and snowboarding before, but am really not very good at either one. I'm pretty good with an innertube, though! To be honest, I'm no pro at surfing, either. That, and I'm gettin' old...don't have the flexibility and stamina I did 20+ years ago...
