hiya folks.

Live from work. counting my blessings, got a full staff right now. Trip update on Wednesday. No pictures this time i'm afraid, the desktop has an icky virus and that's where all the pictures are.

this second job takes away from my DIS time. i'm doing overnights here at the airport cleaning carpets. which means after carpets and the coffee...i'm ready for bed!!

yesterday was the first night i actually got to sleep at night (well, till i got up at 3 to come to work)

i start school tomorrow! YAY!!!

i was amazed that there was only what...6 pages yesterday? if that? i might be able to keep up at that rate! LOL.

Stinkerbelle's mom...hope Dobie's doing good!

Hope everyone that's back at school is having a good time..hehehe. isn't everyone excited about school till it starts?

well. i must go back, we probably need more french vanilla and/or hazelnut (which i try to stress to the staff NEVER to brew on the same day...we sell no regular coffee and we spend the entire day rebrewing the two of them...in one brewer. talk about disaster!)

no work after 1 today, so i might actually get to check up on all the TR's!

Wow this is the slowest I have seen this thread.

Va Bear went to the state fair today and there was a bear show. They were european brown bears so probably they are decendants from the old country.

More rain tonight but thank heavens no hail. No fatalities either from the storm even though there were lots of rescues from cars in flash flood situations and a tree broke off and hit a man.

No dead rabbits that I could see although I did have a couple of dead birds. The rabbit population has decreased a bit since june and july. Probably either due to the cat who explores at will or the outbreak of tularemia.

This slow down in the thread may help me to keep caught up and actually get through everyones trip report.

Well off to bed tomorrow is Brody's first day of preschool.
He's growing up too fast.

Good luck on the first day of Preschool for both Brody and for you. I always cried on the first day of preschool. Next week I'm sure I'll be crying because my baby starts Middle school. I have one in high schol and two in middle school now. Seems like I was just crying for my oldest's first day at preschool!

I'm watching to weather channel now, hoping this storm does something diffent, either turns or blows out, since we're supposed to leave in the morning. I'm calling my travel agent this morning to see what she thinks. I am fully expecting my mom to call very shortly to give me a weather update and tell me to call our TA. I hope we can at least fly into Orlando.

I just took a look at the 5 day forecast for the storm. (I check the news web site regularly this time of year). It looks like Orlando might miss the bullet if the storm keeps moving the way it has been. At this time the storm is slowly turning north and won't be long before it turns east. It is possible all Florida will get is the western edge of the storm at this rate.

How's the little one, SBMom?

He's doing really well thanks. (Knocking on wood) he is really such a good baby. He eats every 2-4 hrs, stays awake for a little while, then sleeps. He sometimes gets fussy early evening, but he is just very content.

Took him to a party Saturday & of course he is a "chick magnet"--lol. Had a whole table of girls watching his every move. He was just laying on the table moving around. Took him to church Sunday & of course we got mobbed there too. I was holding him during mass & he smiled to himself & then I could swear he even laughed out loud. I don't let too many people hold him, I don't want him getting passed around. Stinkerbelle is still loving him-- not jealous either. Angel does very well with him & Brandon likes him, but doesn't seem to bother with him too much because he doesn't "do anything". My friend did take pictures, but her printer ran out of ink so the pics came out weird, she's gonna bring me the good ones when she changes her inker. Didn't make it to my brothers.

Wow, CO is going crazy with the weather this summer, isn't it?? That is just amazing. Armageddon!!

I think the slowing of the thread can be attributed to two things: school and WDW trips-in-progress. Even as busy as I've been with the beginning of the semester, I've been able to keep up, reasonably at least, with the TRs, too. It's helped me keep that post-WDW depression at bay (mostly!)

P.S. How do you know about Va-bear going to the state fair and seeing the bear show?! Why isn't she keeping ME up to date on her trip details!?

Go Brody, now in preschool! Does that mean you're going to have any time to yourself during the school day now, Michele, or do you just have to work weekdays anyway?

nope no new time to myself. I'll be at work while he's at preschool. This has been the wildest weather summer I can remember. It's kind of good just to get us out of the drought but there are so many weeds that allergies are the worst they've ever been.

I haven't done his yet ( I have to get another book to do it with) but I am thinking Mickey, Donald and Goofy mainly for his. He likes Donald more than any other character so it will probably focus around that.

I was just thinking/wondering about you, Tara, and imagining you crazy busy. If you start school tomorrow, we're NEVER gonna see you again! Unless we stay at about 6 pgs a day, then maybe you (and I!) can handle the thread and school too.

Looking forward to your trip update. As we've been saying around here, thank heavens things have slowed down because there would be no way to keep up with the TRs, too, at the rate this thread used to go!

I'm such a bad mom...I never cried....was just soooo glad to have babysitting for the day. I do admit, though, that although I didn't cry when DS started HS, I did have a few thoughtful moments about both of us getting older, but that passed quickly when I realized that he was getting a ride to school with his best friend and I didn't have to cart him around anymore.
