Oh I will later today! He is such good baby! (except for the part where I had to hold him & tried to DIS last night). Tried to get dh to feed him while I DISsed, but that didn't last. Note to self-- don't turn on the computer when feeding the baby! He was due to eat last night at 12:30 I think, but he couldn't wait so I had to feed him at 11. He ate about 2 ozs & slept from the time I started posting (12 ish) until 5 a.m. this morning. :goodvibes I woke up at 4:30 and the great debate was should I get up & get dressed before he wakes up or go back to bed :scratchin ? Managed to get in another whole 15 mins before he woke up. :woohoo: He likes me to hold him & let him look at things. He's very alert-- he just amazes us! Doesn't really focus yet, but I have caught him smiling when he's content. :lovestruc

Oh I'm so excited for you! I hope you get to adopt the precious little guy. I'd love to see him added to your signature line!!!

We decorated our DD10's room retro style........ There are records on the walls... we had to explain that they play music...... she asked if they were just supersized cd's!!!!! We didn't even try to explain 8tracks. :lmao:

:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: Sounds cool. Did you see Trading Spaces when Hildie did a room with records on the wall. Growing up my parents had a collection of 78's. (another lesson-- records/albums aka as supersized cd's :rotfl: came in different speeds at one time 33, 45 or 78). I remember if you got a song & played it on the different speeds you'd either get the chimpmunks or Lurch singing. :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Oh no!!!!! she is lying about her age already!!!!!!!! oh boy, you are definately going to have fun when she is a teenager!!!

Yeah, luckily for us dd1 who is close to that seems shy when it comes to guys so that gives us a little break. My ds now fancies himself to be Batchelor of the Year or something. He doesn't want to go anywhere or do anything where there aren't teenage girls. He really thinks he's a catch :smooth: now that he's working part time.

Thanks, I was thinking about doing that, but I didn't want to jinx myself. Also I wasn't sure how I wanted to post his age. Funny you should mention that because Stinkerbelle wants me to change her to the :cheer2: --that's her favorite smilie.

Trading spaces came to our neighborhood last Octber. I so wanted to apply to be on it but I had the fear of Hildie or Doug coming into my home and making it even worse than it is now! Well it turns out that they filmed right on my block and Hildie and Laurie were the designers and they both did a spectacular job! The bedroom thatr Hildi did is fantastic.

We got to meet everyone. The carpenters were Faeber (?) and Leslie (Amy Winn was doing a book tour so Leslie from While you were out was a guest carpenter. I bought a bunch of kids down to watch Faeber work at about 9:00 pm. They asked him all kinds of questions and he was soooo nice. He said that during the day 2 ladies came running up to see him and then so Oh! it not the cute one and they left. He thought it was so funny! Apparently they were looking for Carter!

Poor Lizzy Is a huge fan, but had a band competition so couldn't be there the last day. They told us come over at 4:00 and we'll sign autographs. So I got great pics of the kids with the designers and carpenters and autographs too.

There kindness was amazing (not as amazing as NSalz'z mind you, but truly amazing) I though Hildie might be a bit of a snob, but she was terrific. She signed a trading spaces book I have and drew a big heart around the picture of her dog that is in the book! Ahh a fellow dog lover, now I know she's great.

Watching and interacting with these guys is a great memory.

Tara, you're looking at his backwards. What you should say is, "My waist is disproportionately tiny". Just look at Tinkerbell :tinker: If she wore pants, the waist on them would be gaping, too.

*sigh* i know...

it's not that i don't LIKE my hips...because, well, i like being hippy.

actually, i like my hips a lot better then i like my waist. :happytv: :rotfl:

maybe i'll take a cue from tink and just wear cute little dresses all the time!! :rotfl2:

I know what ya mean about the jinx. I figured you'd probably wait until the adoption to add him. Maybe you could put him in as "on loan" for now. Has his parents rights been terminated so he'll be up for adoption regardless or is there a chance they could get him back?

I read recently that the average woman will try on aproximately 50 pairs of jeans before she find one pair that fit correctly. I think that's pretty accurate for me.

So, did you try on 150 pairs?

seems that way. everytime i go somewhere i see something that looks "cute" but never fits. i haven't bought new pants in months. i guess mine came all at once and i'm going to have to try on 150 more before i find more pants! :lmao:

How cool! Hildie is my absolute favorite. She just amazes me by how cool she is, nothing fazes her really-- she never gets dirty, she can do anything. I love Doug too, he's so funny. Also Frank! I'd like to work with Hildie & have Frank do my house. Yeah, Hildie & Doug got out of that experimental stage & actually do great work now. I love Faber & I love Andrew & Leslie-- she's my mom's favorite! I really miss Ty, but I do love his current show. I also miss Paige.

Btw, Hildie's even better than you think. Her dog's name is Pluto because her very favorite dog is the one & only pluto: !

No, they're just beginning the TPR (termination of parental rights) process. Think mom might try, but its not expected to go well. There's no dad, she's trying to pass off curent beau as dad, but he's not. I feel bad gaining at someone else's misfortune, but from what I hear he's better off not going back, but what's meant to be is meant to be. He just got out of the hospital Monday, he was a preemie.

Oh yea that's right. I remember now. My brother loved that song. He had a real good friend named Joey who had the record ]( record-- small black circular object that contained music on it-- for anyone not in the know--- if that still doesn't make sense see nightowlky for an explanation he's the technical one). And for the record (record-- 2nd definition --to keep track of things) I did love the the Pearl Jam remake of that other song.

Boy this was a learning post wasn't it! :teacher:

yeah? kinda like CDs?

(hehehe. just kidding. my parents aren't old but they sure loved their records. there's always been a record player at my house!)
