Meredith read this post and bounced around more than Tigger! She's so excited! She said to ask you about the secret, but I told her she has to wait. Hee hee. I'm almost as excited as she is! What fun! Here's a picture of her yesterday before she sent Stanley off with grandma and grandpa:

Does Stanley have enough travel plans? If not I could drag over to Mexico for a few beers. Oh, on second thought that wouldn't make a very school friendly picture right? Maybe he can have a Mexican-coke and I'll have the Corona .

I asked her and she said he sort of looks like a boy in her class named Ryan who has red/orange hair, but that mostly she just drew Stanley that way because she liked the colors.

Gosh, I wish we had more time with Stanley!! So many people have so generously offered to help and he could be the most well-traveled Stanley ever with my connections from the DISboards! He's got to be back to school by Nov 1st, though. I wonder if the teacher would grant an extension. If we get him back earlier than expected, though, I will take you up on that offer. That would be so cool!!

Hey, Jacqueline, I think when they talk about image size being too big in a signature, they mean "bytes" rather than area size. So, potentially, you could have a picture that looks large but is still small in byte size if compressed with a photo program. That's probably what they're fussing with you over...

I knew that and both times my pics were well within the requirements! They are just trying to bring out the "angry Donald" side of me

That would be perfect if it was lime green. Love the idea. Never travel without it!!

I was trying to edit it quick last night to make it lime green, but it didn't come out looking that great so I left it the original color.

You wouldn't believe how many Canadians live here in McAllen. Hmmm, maybe you would believe it?

There is also the fact that we are called Northern - Tinsel Town. Cheap for them to make movies here, and a lot that require snow .. heck we have some cities that are under snow year round

Actually, your daughter is pretty good. I think if I was doing that assignment I would have been photoshopping Old Stanley all over the place.

Teacher:So your telling me you were able to mail stanley to Paris, Tokyo, Sydney, Anchorage, New York, London, Mexico City, and still get him back before the assignment was due?

Looks like with all of this involved you're both just going to have to come to my den to meet!!!!! We have a big pot!!! And some Old Bay - but no Crab Boil?! (I was JUST looking at a recipe for crab and corn chowder and they called for Crab Boil [capital letters - as in a Brand name...] - so here's a question - think they are interchangeable, recipe-wise??)

Why dont you all come - I'll make a LOt of chowder?!!

I'd like to. I just have to figure this out. I have a 3 day weekend coming up Columbus Day, but I have to figure out everyone else's schedule (sigh). If not then possibly Veteran's Day weekend. I'll see what I can do.

As long as he lets me keep Dobie!! and you promise not to lose my son in a game store, like Game stop, cause once in you have to drag or buy him stuff to get him out!!! So, now when?

I don't know now, he's getting super attached. He's been taking him on errands with him. Tonight he even has Dobie downstairs with him while I DIS for a while. He's taking the first feeding-- of course that still leaves me with the 2-3 a.m. & 5-6 a.m. ones (sigh). Why aren't I sleeeping?!?!?!?

I know why, I read all the ghost stories on another thread & now I'm scared!

I love this group......Yes hugs are needed....I think we are all just exhausted from school satrting and taking turns at the hospital with mom. I think she might be able to come home by the weekend though. Thanks to all who are sending good thoughts. I know I haven't had time to respond to everyone.

Thanks! Spent all morning with Nana and then NSalz came in for the afternoon shift. Just went again and it seems like something good happened today because she seemed so much better tonight than she did this morning!
