Hey, my son is at a b-day party where they SENT ME HOME (all the parents - not just me! ) and I'd already taken the little one to Grandmas!!! So, I have 30 whole minutes to goof off!!!! WOOO HOOO!!!!

Congrats! Yeah When my mom heard I was going to friends birthday this weekend, she said "Great, have fun, who are we going to get to babysit DSISs?"

dwheatl... what great priorities you have!! Sound just like me... my DH said the car was making funny sounds and I suggested we wait for our 2 week vacation to be over to see if we have enough money to take care of said funny noise. (besides, I don't ride in his car, so I haven't heard any funny noises! )

Like I said, good practice for FL in August! It's supposed to cool off by 2-3 degrees today. What a relief!

HRH how far do you live from I75?

Theresa, you lucky duck about the Sander's...I always get a years supply when we visit DIL's in Bloomfield Hills. My DMIL always sends me a couple of large jars of Bittersweet in my Christmas present..

I live about 5 hours from Atlanta, which is where I75 runs through GA.....We took that route from Greenville SC to the Mutherland once...seems like it added 2 extra hours on to the trip just going thru Atlanta. Now we just scoot down I94 to I4.... 5 hours including rush hour, one potty break, and one gas break right before Orlando..

What a fabulous treat. We get those moments more often now, but I remember when they were very rare (in fact, that's how we got DD, so watch out )

I work sometimes as a temp at a law firm for a friend when thier receptionist has to take off. I keep hoping that she will need me a whole lot between now and our trip (2 or 3 weeks would have me set beyond what Dh could make in OT)

It is the same and opposite for me. I go in Sept with my sister and her two boys with no Dh's along. Then in Oct Dh and I will be going with no kids along (Dsd lives in OK with her mom during school year and we will be taking her next summer).

Update to my post earlier about my dad becoming a swiper for me. He went, he tried but alas there must be other DISer's in area as all Alien MHPC were gone. But I have a back up plan I found amoung my card stock (some that I have no plans for) some that is an almost perfect match to the Alien green MHPC's Now I just need to cut out some MH's

Yes, my car's paint is peeling, my sofa has a slipcover to disguise the holes in the upholstery, but we're staying for 9 DAYS. I have my priorities!

Yup! We need a new clothes dryer, new carpeting in the whole house, It was here when we bought the house 10 years ago but have no idea when it was put in. There is a hint tho Upstairs is lime green shag ... Oh wait I guess that's a good thing!! Need new furniture for the living room!

But stayed 11 days at BWI earlier this month and going again in Sept/Oct for 5 days. Priorities are important!!!!
