for all of you that suffer from birthday Dyslexia or those of you that have turned 19 again this year:

Today is my grandmother's birthday. She's 61. it's a tradition in our family for the person on their birthday to pass wisdom down to younger members of the family. when i called this morning this is what i got:

"i was reading a magazine yesterday and they had some BS story about people having plastic surgery. don't do it. enjoy getting older. Even the wrinkles. hopefully, you get wealthier. hopefully, you'll have a family and friends. That's what's important. Well, that and pushing my wisdom on all you kids. because i'm a ton smarter too."

:rotfl: i  my grandma!

:bday: TL4 Grandma!

She is one Smart Cookie! :thumbsup2

shhhhhhhhhh........my mom's birthday is next week.....she's going to be 38!! :rolleyes1

she's still one that tries to convince people that her birthday doesn't exist anymore. but she's got me for a daughter, so that's not likely to happen anytime soon.

She probably tells everyone that You are a little sister! :rotfl2:

No buzzkill! 38 is super-cool. because:

you're still young enough to shop at the mall and be cool.
but you're old enough to have wisdom and some money in the bank (hopefully! :rotfl2: )

You guys should meet, that would be so fun for you all. :grouphug: party: party:

We went to the HDDR & the movie. :3dglasses Well, we went to the sing a long before the HDDR just to meet C&D. Later in the week my dh took the kids to the sing a long & the movie.

You will  the HDDR. Especially 2-Bits. We saw the characters quite a bit while we were there & every time we saw them my kids would rush over to say hi & tell them how much they enjoyed the show. Have fun.
Oh its good to hear someone say they loved the Hoop most say they don't like it. Katlas&kids and my family are meeting up to see the show together. We both cancelled our origional resvs. and made one for both our families. We are both so excited.

Ah 70's tv shows. Come one everyone knows Saturday mornings were the best. Remember the Kroft Superstar hour with shows like The Buggeloos. Everyone of course remembers the School House Rock cartoons. :thumbsup2 Remember the little guy with the boots always hankering for a hunk of cheese? Great shows they had then! Scooby Doo with the original theme song. (Can you tell I remember all my favorite shows by the theme songs-LOL) :cool1:
Now I can relate to the Saturday Morning TV shows. I was born in 75 So I Know my cartoons. My DS3 loves Scooby Doo and I can tell you every episode word for word.

Yep, I used to love that show. I never liked Mindy's father though. I used to love her clothes & of course Mork's suspenders.

Robin Williams sure has come a long way from those days! Popeye's been on cable a lot lately. Loved him in that. Also Peter Pan, it was cool to show that do my youngest dd after seeing :tinker: in WDW in June.
I used to have Mork from Ork suspenders. Shoot my mom probably still has them around somewhere.

Okay...I just have to ask...how is it that you people are brave enough to actually look in the cabinet?! Every time I go, the HD CMs are all standing here, watching my every move....
I obviously need a new strategy...any suggestions???

~Kimber
I always look in the cabinets. A CM even caught me once and i told him I was seeing if he got any samples that weren't put out that I needed. I just got a weird look and he walked away. Just bring kids!!!!!! I wasn't sure if the guy ran from my kids or just thought I was a wack job.

i got some of the green mickey heads today , i thought they were sticky and they are not. :confused3

:welcome:

You have to make them sticky "the old fashion" way! I prefer rub on glue sticks! Or if you wait until the Holidays Wal-Mart sells a Sticker Maker Machine for 9.99! You can make any paper item a sticker. Way cool! :cool1:

But they only sell them starting in November. We had one, buy it is broke...I tried to buy a new one :sad2: But none to be had....Possibly check out a Michaels! I heard they have lots of this kind of stuff! :thumbsup2

"The Bugaloos! The Bugaloos! They're in the air and everywhere. Flying high, flying free, something something as a summer breeze!"

O.K. I got most of the words, didn't I? :happytv:

Congrats! My last day of work (officially) was June 15, and I didn't get around to clearing out my just in case bag until today. I am the princess of procrastinating! princess:

School house rock was the best. How many 8 y/o's today know how a bill becomes a law.

I know I mentioned before but I was a little house and waltons fanatic. The best 70's shows. Also like fantasy island (De plane, De plane boss). And I loved Magnum PI. (Tom Selleck is still a hunk but was a hunk of all hunks then.) Even better than Scott Baio (spelling?) and Lief Garrett.
