Okay...so I was quite content to simply lurk...to laugh (at the foolishness of others' DHs) and cry (over the loss of
LGMHPC life) in the privacy of my own home. And then, my friends, it turned ugly. It started with my first innocent trip to HD to swipe a few
LGMHPC. Feeling victorious, I came back to catch up on the thread (since you people post like crazy!) only to be dismayed when I read that the correct swiping procedure was to swipe ALL of them! Determined, I dropped off DS3 with Nana and
to the other HD in town only to discover there were NONE!!
(Which made me wonder...who are the other DISers in Huntsville, Alabama?!!)
I stewed about that for a few days, alternating reading all 200+ pages of this thread while packing for a trip to see GiGi (DS's Great-Grandmother). Then, I had an
! There is a HD not far from GiGi's house...surely at some point I could go on a covert mission to run an errand, thereby disguising my real intent: to swipe some
LGMHPC!
The morning arrived, and it seemed that good Karma was on my side: GiGi needed some ingredients for dinner and, while I was out, could I run by Michael's and pick out a frame for a picture? But, of course, GiGi!!
I practiced my
at the grocery store, then headed to Michael's for the frames. That, my friends, was when I knew that I was destined for swipe success that day. Everywhere I turned in Michael's:
Lime Green!!! They had
LG visors (though decidedly not as chic as Cynderella's!!),
LG foamie coin purses (the perfect size for storing
LGMHPC IMO),
LG ribbon (for making a cute bow to attach to our stroller...some even had limes on it, LOL!), and, the piece de resistance:
LG DUCT TAPE!!!
Emboldened by my Michael's success, I confidently (but
) into HD to the paint section to the
LGMHPC and TOOK THEM ALL!!! That's right! I didn't leave even one!
I am proud to say I swiped 31
LGMHPC. I realize that is not the record, but I did the best I could short of rifling through the cabinet underneath. (Which is my next step on the 12-step
LGMHPC Program.)
Little could I know, however, that there was even more
Limedon waiting for me....when I returned to GiGi's house, I was flipping through an LL Bean catalog, and found an entire line of luggage items in
Tarragon(which looks suspiciously like LG). Simply go to llbean and search Luggage and Travel for Tarragon. They have a Touring Bag (both Regular and Large), Passport Organizer, GateCheck ID Organizer and Ticket Organizer!!!
WOO HOO!!!
So...I practically flew home today, speed-read 20 pages (did I mention you guys are chatty??? There's no telling how many more pages y'all added just in the time it took to write this!!), then sat down to tell my tale.
My entire family thinks I'm nuts, but that's okay...I know that means, with your kind permission, that I'll fit in quite nicely here!
