Hi everyone from Sickbay. We haven't floated away yet although it is raining again today. Ds 2 all better. Ds 1 was still pretty feverish today. Had to actually take him to work with me and stash him in a little room with a vcr and movies and an easy chair. What a man in training. Nobody even knew he was there. His fever got pretty high today 104.6 and I was really struggling with his dr's office nurse. (BTW i'm a nurse also). She wanted me to just watch him for another 2 days and call Wed if he's not better (not). Finally got him in and guess what he has strep throat also just without any symptoms like a sore throat. Hopefully he'll be back to normal tomorrow.

Hi to everyone else. I'll try and read through the posts a little more closely later after I get boys to bed.

Hoping to get some sleep tonight. Snuggling these sick boys is no way to be rested.


I can't remember who went to poc with young boys. How was it? How did they do. I was reading a post about the movie and surprised that there weren't more younger kids going to the movie. I am aware of the rating. My boys loved the first and would be devasted if they couldn't go. I understand it is slightly more scary than the first. My boys weren't scared at all by the first so if that is the main difference I think they would do fine but would like to hear from others who have taken younger boys.

HMO2, first off, so sorry about all the sickness going on at your house..just remember to take care of mom, too!

thanks for the well wishes about the marathon..I think I'll pass on the actual run, $90 can buy a lot of souvenirs at WDW..it might be different if it were going to a charity, but I think the money is going right into Mickey's pants...

I was the mom who took my DS8 and DS6 to POTC2. They loved it..there was only one part where there was a lot of commotion that DS6 covered his eyes, but he was ok...the only "problem" was that (including trailers) it was 2 hours and 50 minutes..they started to fidget a couple of times...they are hard to keep still for very long. I asked them after if it was scary, they said no..

The creatures are different this time, as I am sure that you have seen a picture of Davey Jones..not skeletons, very interesting costuming/make-up/special effects. actually made me a little squeemish at times, not scary, just slimey..

I've said enough!! except to make sure you stay past ALL the credits..at the end it ties up one last scene that would keep you wondering!!

I love it. Where on earth did you find lime green pants?

I suggested a family uniform during our trip and got rapidly vetoed. I guess if anyone is going to be green it will have to be me. Ds 1 will have his limey crocs though.

My ds2 also has lime green crocs! He thinks they are the coolest things...and can I tell you how cute he looks in them!
I must confess...he has light blue, and red also...I hate them on me, but they are the cutest thing on little feet.

hehehe. my grandma used to have THREE Candy stashes..and i was the only one who knew where they were because that's where she kept MY CANDY (skittles). mostly she knew i wasn't going to eat her snickers. everyone else would have. that and everyone else would have ate my skittles too.

So glad to hear that someone else has these on their boys...I was looking at some for myself at Goodies (Exact copy-$7.50 on sale, all that's missing is the gator.) and DS6 and DS8 tried some on. (I was hoping they didn't notice they were in the GIRLS dept.! they didn't.. ) DS6 got yellow, and DS8 got a more masculine navy blue. They really are cute, the smaller they are..and the boys love them...

I got a pair of LG ones, for myself, of course.. they ARE ugly, I haven't had the nerve to wear them yet, even though I wore a LG t-shirt yesterday.. DS6 kept wanting to get the orange ones for Daddy... Hey, why not, it's the color of Home Depot!!

Here neither. I have been at work since 5am, but now at the 2nd job, which is the main one, after racing home, getting the kids ready for day camp, to camp and then here. And what Joy...back to the Y tonight to teach swimming. But Disney, and making the other bills so I can go to Disney, is so worth it!

Saw it at the drive-in last Friday had a blast. It was long though so we did not stay for 2nd feature.

Just got back from Target and what a deal. $1 items were 2 for $1 so we are talking lime green visors, socks, and bandana also got red/white/blue glow necklaces. Can't beat it. I got my DD1 a pair of jean shorts for $.79. I was bargan shopping big time. Teresa

I am so worried that we're gonna get sick right before our trip! We haven't been sick all summer, which is very weird as I almost always catch something from my students. Today, one of my students came in for a conference and said he was sorry he was so out of it, but he has "the flu" or somesuch. AIIEE! Go take your germs to the tutoring center or something, kid! I have had a little eye infection thingy (not in the inner corner, but the outer corner, which is more weirdness...) for the past couple of days, so I don't know if that's going to turn into anything. Buh. I do NOT want to be sick for my vacation, wah wah wah! Kids are at the in-laws right now while I grade this mountain of paper, so who knows what they'll catch there.

Hope the other sickies on the thread are feeling better, though. How're your boys, HMo2? How's the throat, Va-
