Speaking of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella, am I the only one who thinks our own gracious, green-haired Cynderella looks like Leslie Anne Warren in that movie? Quite lovely!

My DH has been in the entertainment business for all his working life, so I stopped counting celebrity sightings and encounters a long time ago, but whenever this kind of conversation comes up, I always mention what I like to think of as my claim to fame. John Stamos flirted with me. It didn't progress into hitting on me but I am positive it would have if not for my DH and the girl Stamos was with, but we were checking each other out hard! Now, he's actually still a pretty good looking guy, but this was back in his younger days (and mine) and he was FINE!! This was when he was playing the drums for the Beach Boys; do you guys remember that? Anyway, I just know if not for DH (whom I was marrying in a month) and that girl, I'd have ended up Mrs. John Stamos! Or not, as I would never have been there in that moment without my stagehand hubby, but you get the picture. Of course, I remember this incident, but I bet if you asked J.S. now if he'd ever seen me in his life, he'd say no. lol Especially since it was, after all, almost 20 years ago, when I, too, was a hottie. Now I'm just kind of medium warm, lol That's what 20 years'll do to ya.

That beats Tattoo (da plane!) looking down my bathing suit top when I bent to get his autograph!

My Mom and I only see celebrities when we go down to the City. We saw Jackie Mason, and Doris Roberts on a class trip to see POTO, and christy Carlson Romano when we saw Beauty and the beast. She also swears she saw David Letterman's Nephew in Indiana.

How cool! I think in order for me to know there was a celebrity around someone would have to say to me "ooooooh look there's a celebrity!"

We have a local 3 day fair for the 4th of July. Over the years we've had people like Fabian, Marie Osmond, Marshall Tucker Band, Peter Noon as Herman & the Hermitts. Tons of other people but I can't remember them all. My dh & ds are security there so we get to meet everyone. My ds is forever bringing home drum sticks just because they give them to him.

That was so cool and I loved to read about what he did to Pam Daubner off screen to get some of her expressions to fit right!And to jsut mess her up. Would love to see blooper reels of that show!

He supposedly into drugs REALLY bad during that time. I bet he drove them ALL crazy.

When i get back I will tell you all my celebrity stories...........with Cher, Tom Selleck, Henry Winkler...Barbra Streisand & her sister, Christopher Reeves, Mary Tyler Moore and my WILD night with JFK jr and his posse.......and cast of many many more!!!!!!!!

All of them were nice....except for ONE (who is not mentioned above)!!!

When I was nearing mid 20's my mom told others " I got married young. I was 5"!

My dad was forever doing stuff like that. He used to say he was younger than he was. Once he told someone he was 33 which made my then 36 y/o sister say that he was younger than her. He told everyone she was premature!

We were in OC (Ocean City MD) once riding on a bus. Well some people came in & my dad got up & gave someone his seat, seeing that this young guy in his 20's gave up his seat for my dad. Well my dad thanked him & they got to talking. My dad told him he was from "ooo-a-hoo" (Oahu) HI and this was his first trip there. So then the guy starts giving my dad tips on where to go & stuff. We were mad at my dad, but he said that guy doesn't know, he's all excited he met someone from HI. When we were in San Diego my dad told them he was from Canada. Silly man!

Oh yeah, the stop action Levi's commercial. That was fun.
Did Barry Manilow write the jingles? I know he wrote a lot of commercials, also the theme song for American Bandstand. I'll always remember riding down to Tijuana with my DH and some friends and hearing "CopaCabana" in Spanish. "Se llama Lola, esta una corista!"

Yep it was Barry Manilow. I was gonna make that one of my quiz songs, but thought it would be too easy.

I am supposed to be moving friends in their new house right now and I told them I had to 'check my email'(yeah like I would really do that first)

anyway I probably will be on here and there..... but they will have the laptop for 2-4 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ugghhhh!!!!!!!

anyway I wanted to wish everyone safe, happy trips to the motherland!!!! I will probably have days of reading when I am finally able to catch up with ya's.......
