Thank you Father, or is that Godfather, or maybe GodUnc I was expecting a harsher punishment, but I guess us Howard & LGMHed loving people have got to stick together. Does it count that we got some red MHs also from the the 2nd HD swipe along with some yellow & I think even a black. (really do any of the other colors matter? ) I also forgot to mention we went to Target afterwards & bought 2 lime hats like Cyn's, a little lime purse, 2 canistors that have magnets on the bottom just for the sole purpose of them being lime, a lime container with many compartments, and my dh even bought the Stinkerbelle a lime canteen just because she wanted it! I was so proud of them both at that moment .

Do you often make your DH imagine he is Tom Cruise?

Or is it just Tom Cruise In MI1, 2 or 3 that you force this upon him?

Nope just this once. I thought he'd be more excited to act out Mission Impossible than he would be to West Side Story. Hmmm, maybe I should have made him be Austin "Danger" Powers

What other kind of music to you "HUM" to him?

I'd have to say usually I'm cursing at him. Ummm, with love that is. (insert barf image here)

How loud is this "HUM"?
Do you get close to his ear & "HUM'? ...Cause that has been reported back to us as being quite annoying! And NONEFFECTAL!

I would have to say I was being loud & annoying, but I wasn't too close to his ear.

I'd appreciate all the help I can get. Its not like he came out of a box perfect. I've had to mold him to my ways over the years.

I'm not quite sure. My doc told me he would discuss it in more detail when the time comes. How are you boys? Has the fever come down any?

Little one is doing great. He got better right after he started his antibiotic.

Oldest is slightly better today. Has had several hours today that he didn't have a fever which is quite different than yesterday. He even sat up a little today and worked on a puzzle. So a big improvement in my book although I'd really like to see the fever go away and then I'll be less neurotic. Really worried about the dead rabbit problem and that causing some of this. I think I now know the CDC site backwards and forwards when it comes to communicable diseases, incubation periods etc. I think this will fix them both about picking up any more dead critters even if that is not the problem here which I don't really think it is due to the incubation period being much shorter than how long it has been since the rabbit incident. Little one also had contact with 2 different rabbits and hasn't gotten this illness either so hopefully not the problem. Thanks for your thoughts though. He is due to go to a hockey mini camp this weekend and if it turns out to be mono looks like he's going to miss out on all of his sports activity for at least a month. That will be like putting a dagger through his heart especially if he misses hockey camp so as non serious as mono is in the grand scheme of worse case scenarios I really hope that's not it for his mental sanity.

Well off to snuggle the little one. He's feeling kind like being well isn't a good thing. Very needy. But of course I'm always happy to give some snuggles.

FYI! I posted this once on another board here. Years ago I read that Nutrasweet is VERY UNTESTED as its long term effects! You shouldnt give it at ALL to kiddies. I also read that NS may have a hand in ADHD & all that kind of stuff. I am by NO way a 'label" reader or what to give kids etc! I am just a eat what you want kinda guy, and a fierce Fruit pusher & NEVER give ANYTHING with NS to any kid. Those articles scared the provbial you know what outta me!

I am a BIG NO NUTRAWEET FOR KIDS pusher!!!!!!!! Thats it...off my soapbox now!

I cant believe that it is NOT widely known about NS! Most kids can handle sugar...except my Goddaughter give her a sip of soda and BOOM...she was flying round the room!

Yeah, though I like Crystal Light (which does have aspartame) myself, I don't drink much of it (in fact, last time I even had any was last summer!) and my kids don't care much for it at all. We are really a big water drinking family. All four of us prefer plain water or unsweetened iced tea to almost anything. Don't drink many sodas at all and though we don't use much sugar or drink regular sweetened drinks, if we sweeten at all, it's usually with Splenda. So, though I am not really militant about these things, they tend to be non-issues because our preferences aren't generally for those kinds of drinks.

Oh yeah, this brings back memories of my mom and the lady accross the street..in fact all the ladies in the neighborhood with their "mile-high" hairdos that they had religiously(standing appointment) washed and done once a week at the beauty parlor...You know the look...mature 60's women...OK...think "The B-52's" And the only way to hold that up was a can of AquaNet, and a silk pillow case....I can smell it now....Ahhhhh....

Oooh, I almost forgot to warn everyone that the swiping can get to be a habit. At the retreat facility this weekend, I went to use the restroom by the office, and there was a LG hand towel. Nobody was around, and I wanted it so bad. However, after 13 years of Catholic school, I just couldn't steal a towel from a group of Franciscan friars. I don't want to spend eternity .

OK, I checked my pantry. The Walmart Lemonade (I thought it was iced tea..) has artificial sweeteners. the Koolaid has sugar, fructose, and sucralose (whatever that is...isn't that what Splenda is made from??) Sorry my mistake...

Thank you for checking that for me....I was getting a little worried....I have them in my DD closet though(with our disney bucket) I didn't want to wake her to check.

Hey Cyn, how is it going with the fires out there? That is my old stomping ground (went to HS in Big Bear) and would feel much better (I hope) with a report from someone who is nearby, instead of the 15 seconds we get on the national news. Hope all is well...

Wow, no kidding? That's so cool! My homegirl! We're in Yucaipa...first town all the way down the hill, as you know. I was reading your signature. I went to grad night in '83, so we're almost the same age.

The Yucca Valley fire (started by lightning!) is about 70% contained as of today, from what I understand, but gads the sky is smokey and cloudy. We've seen dozens and dozens of fire planes up here and down in the valley in the last few days....constant activity. It seems they were able to steer the fire away from Big Bear a couple of days ago. Whew. After the big fires three years ago, Big Bear doesn't need anymore threats like that. You know how big fires and smoke sort of make their own weather? It rained here today! 61,000 acres have been burned, wow....above Cabazon and back in the San G wilderness. 50 homes destroyed. We were worried here because the news said the fire might have been headed towards Oak Glen. Aiiee! Things are winding down now, though, thank heavens. If only for air quality's sake, I hope they get it put all the way out very soon. *cough cough*
