Brandi how is the new job going for you?

T... things have been so crazy around my life lately.

So I am so glad that holidays are over with.... Back to real life.

I am leaving this weekend to fly to Texas for the cotton bowl (Gig'em Aggies),, then I return to Texas the following week to go see my Aunt.

If I did not update everyone I am sorry and if I did I guess you get to hear a second time... Sorry I am getting old and cant remember everything....

They removed a baseball sized tumor from her Colon, removed 8 inches of colon, found 2 spots on her liver and 2 spots on her lung. After the test results were returned she has Ovarian Cancer. The strange part is she had a complete hysterectomy about 20 years ago. They also concluded that she was misdiagnosed last year when they tried to do a Colonoscopy and could not pass through, then it was kink in her colon, now it is cancer.

She will have to undergo radiation but they think she will not have to have Chemo. The Drs give her a very high chance of recovery.

Since new years I have had Bronchitis and feels like 200 pound man is sitting on my chest. I can't breath and I cough all night so My DH and I have not been sleeping.

As far the job goes, I am getting the hang of it and it is WAY more challenging than my previous job. I am also getting more visibility into the DoD M&S community so that is all GOOD stuff. When the deputy director emails me to ask questions I take that as doing a good job. It was overwhelming at first but I think it is all going to work out in the end.

Need some airline recommendations. The boy might be going to Oklahoma in April or this summer to visit his sister, she moved out there. Gotta start doing some research.

Not trying to scare you for sure, but think about it,,,, 20 years ago when she had hers things were a lot different!!!! We have come a long way in the medical practice.

I like Southwest cause there are no baggage fees, and it is fairly easy to make changes if needed. I have seen some good fares out of BWI on Air Tran lately, though. (but haven't exactly been looking at OK as a destination.)

Heather her ov cancer might have spread to other orgins before her hysto. They had on the news recently some man died of ov cancer after a kidney transplant. The donor apparently had ov cancer and they didn't find out until much later.

I dunno , but she's certainly no QOTU!

So far it looks like SW flies into OK, gotta check which airport is closer for her. Looking at March, that's his Spring Break or maybe wait to summer, after Disney trip.

I work for the Gov too. They acronym you to death. Then when you get the hang of it, they always retitle everything & you start over. Grrr
