Nope :rolleyes1 I was hoping to have time over the holidays.. :teeth: Darn RL keeps getting in the way :sad2:

I  the picture of the 3 of you!

Brandi, great family pics, and I love the NYC pics as well.

T, the crazy one, love it!

PD, hope you have better weather in Jan that we did last week! It was COLD! Highs in the 40's, wind chills in the 30's during the day, and hard freezes 3 of the nights we were there, it was crazy! But I'd rather be cold at Disney than here, so it was still good. I'm looking forward to going back in May when it is warm, though!

Mary, I didn't know you had a Nook, too! I LOVE mine! What kind of books do you read, and what email do you use for it, I can send you some of my lend me books if you want! I read just about everything, so have a lot of free romances, a bunch of Nora Roberts, quite a bit of sci fi/fantasy, and a few mysteries currently.

I have a kindle does that count?

Welcome back Kristi, glad u guys had fun. I just got the nook so it's still new to me. I'm still learning how to do everything. What nook do you have? I just have the basic one. So far I'm reading some Chelsea Handler stuff. She's a hoot.

Brandi-- I think Heather and maybe Kelly now have a kindle. I don't think the two are compatible. I picked nook because the library lets you borrow-- well mine doesn't have that capability yet. Grrr

I can borrow books from my library onto my Kindle, it is pretty neat. I read about 25 times more now than before simply b/c it is easy to carry around with you.

I know you will enjoy the Nook!

Congratulations to the graduate!

I'm going on University tours this summer.

Allie,

That sounds like lots of fun! I remember back in the day going to a couple different universities and finally picking one... It was in a different state, I arrived so excited and ready, (Mother was really excited b/c I got a scholarship to attend) and then within 4 weeks I was crying on the phone to my mom and begging her to come get me... hahaha

Then I went to school closer to home.. which turned out to be the best of my life!

Enjoy this time, it is a wonderful experience and a new found freedom!

Ok Brandi so your saying I should start distancing myself now from my kids so they won't miss me when they go away for school.. :teeth:

Mary, my nook is the basic WiFi, no 3G one too, actually the guy at B&N talked us out of the one with 3G, and I got it before the color came out, but as it is backlit, I wouldn't want it anyway, don't need the eye strain from that, plus I am looking forward to reading poolside, can't do that with a backlit screen as it gets too much glare.

Brandi, my folks got Kindles for each other for Christmas, but so far we can't lend between nook and kindle. I got my nook over the kindle primarily for the ability to take it into B&N if there is a problem with the battery, etc and they can correct right there, instead of having to send it in and be without it.

Even though you can't get your library to work, Mary, you can search under free ebooks and it will pull up a bunch, that's what I did, searched under free ebooks, then under the word free, then under free scifi, etc. till I found stuff I wanted to read that was free and downloaded about 30 books before the trip, some of them I thought were really good. Also, they usually have a free ebook on Friday's.

Nay, just keep them close and you will end up with the same thing I have... A 26 year old that just graduated college and still lives at home....:confused3

Mine wouldn't go away to college either. He wouldn't even consider anything out of the state.

I am trying to get him to look into the Disney College internship.

Brandi-- that's cool about the library. I had heard that kindle didn't do that.

Kristi-- from what I've been reading on B&N, most of the "free" books are just samples. :headache:
