We had previously attended this year on Saturday, Sept 29.
Using our PAPs we entered USO last Sunday just before 4:00 p.m.
We wandered a bit and then ate dinner at Lombardo's. The afternoon had some fairly strong on and off showers which was starting to clear out the park. On the other hand those in the back of the park were lingering waiting for the rain to subside.
We thought the restaurant would be busy of guests avoiding the rain. Lombardo's was busy when we were seated, but not overly so. And was actually getting pretty empty by the time we left.
Our PAPs allowed a 10% discount.
DH ordered the catch of the day -- grilled salmon, which came with some fresh looking veggies.
I ordered a cheese ravoli that came with three sauces (pesto, tomato and cheese). The main saice was a typical tomato base. The other two were squirted in criss cross patterns. Doughy along the edges, but overall good. And they gave me plenty. DH finished off my last two.
We also ordered an appy of spinach dip and chips. That was pretty good as it was heavy on cream cheese. (Can't go wrong with that. :rotfl2: :thumbsup2 )
Just unsweet teas to drink.
Overall very good considering we were dining inside a theme park and the prices, which we thought were reasonable. We probably paid around $35 with tip, after the discount. (Don't recall exactly as DH paid the bill.) Service was not rushed by any means. But we were not in a hurry as we had plenty of time to kill.

We followed a lot of the same pattern as the previous week.
They corraled guests into the safe zone (carny type games).
We did not have to wait too long before getting in line for the first house -- Nightmare/Elm St.

We were soon through that. Now what has happened at both times is once guests exit that house they are pretty much corraled into the safe zone again. It's very easy to wander out of the barricades, intentional or not.
And we did both time, intentional. And I am glad.
Psychoscareapy was open and hardly anyone was inside because they would not allow guests to leave the corraled area.
So the only ones in Psycho... were the few of us that left the corral area, and some guests who had not yet entered that area.
Just odd to not allow guests to leave when there is a second house open just a short distance away.

After the second house we got in line for Dead Silence, that was not yet open.

By then hoardes of people were entering the park. Meanwhile the line we were in was long and blocking the street.
They finally allowed us to line up by the house. Of course once they allow us to line up, others just arriving just walk right ahead of those who had waited in line. (No one around to stop anyone. I have seen this same thing previous years. Just a mass crowd of newcomers cutting off all those who stood in line since no one is around to monitor or control the crowd.)

After that house we went over to Vampyr Blood Bath. Actually we both thought this house was better than we remembered.
The great vampire was at the end. But just did not have the same effect as the first time I saw him when he released his wings. The wings were already extended and he was more off to the side.
Overall still a good house. :thumbsup2

Then we saw Bill & Ted's. eh.... I have only seen that show once a few years ago and was underwhlemed then. This year was worse.
The actors are good. Their script is not. :dance3:

Then we left for the evening. We were driving away by 8:30.

We will be back at least 2 more times, so never a rush to see all in one night.

There seemed to be more scaractors in the houses than last time.
I don't know if we just were at the wrong places at the wrong times, but they were no more in the streets than what we saw the previous weekend.
The streets have a lot of (as in very noticeable) dead zones. Pun intended.

On opening night, we had the run of the whole of the S & S area but last week, they had restricted entry to part of it. I don't know why.

Thanks for sharing!
