Our referral bought in, now what?

Just wondering what I should be looking for in regards to the referral gift and is their a place to make sure SC is allowed to receive them? This is our first referral that actually bought in.

I don't know off the top of my head which states are eligible, but you should get a letter from DVC before too long thanking you for the referral and letting you choose your gift. We had our first legit referral at the end of 2008. (At least the first one who actually joined!) We got a letter, and it let us choose how we wanted the referral money to go ---> off of dues, in a Disney Gift Card, towards an add on, or .... one other choice; can't remember.

We chose money off of our dues. Now if I can only get another friend to join!

SC is definately an eligible state for referral rewards. I received two last year and I believe that the reward choices were available as soon as the buyers closed on the contracts. You can choose your reward online at the member website or you can wait to receive the form in the mail.

I am sure our friends will tell us when they have closed, but how else would I know to check the website? Also, where on the website will it be?

I believe that closing is usually about thirty days after the purchase. The reward info is under the "sharing the magic" link on the member website.
