Our Reception is TOMORROW!

I can't believe it! Our Wedding Reception is tomorrow. We were going to have a ceremony tomorrow but decided it would save us money and stress to just do the Reception tomorrow and have a very small ceremony this past July. Saturday will be 4 months since we got married.

Some people think we are nuts for splitting it up but it really worked out best for us. Now we will actually be able to spend time with people who come in from out of town.

I can't wait to see how our Wedding Cake turns out. We've been waiting over a year for it.

In just over 3 weeks we will be on our Honeymoon, which is also Larry's first WDW and first real vacation.

No wonder I'm up so late. I'm too excited to sleep even though I NEED to sleep.

I hope you have a wonderful time and great visits with all the out of town guests. I don't think you're crazy. It never really would have occured to me to do it that way, but it sounds like a great idea for making sure you get to visit with everyone and don't get too overwhelmed with everything.

Haha....we did the same thing. We married in Las Vegas and had 'receptions' where our respective families lived to let them celebrate. Both were held several months after the ceremony but it worked out wonderfully...

I don't think you are nuts, I think what you are doing has become very popular. My sister got married on a cruise ship and had the reception 3 months later. It was a blast!

We had a great time. A few people who had confirmed didn't make it and didn't call to let us know they weren't coming so we had a ton of food left over. Thankfully I had plenty of cake left over too. I'm freezing me pieces of cake to have later since it was egg-free and safe for me.
