Our Rained out trip

Seems that this rain caused all kinds of problems this week.

I also discovered a leak from one of my skylights. Nothing bad and after 5 years this is the first leak. I look at it this way. The rain we had was a good test to find any leaks I may have. If there were none during this trip, then I wont have any problems in the future.

A little silicone and mine was gone (I hope).......

The same thing happened to us 2 years ago in June! However, I must take the blame for our misfortune. Yes, it did rain, but I insisted that we leave open the windows in the tents to "cool" them off for our return. Boy were they cool, and WET!!!! I tell DH that we now know what not to do!!!!

So sorry you had to leave early. Being wet is miserable! We have also developed a new leak in our kitchen hatch. In all the 40 some odd trips to Disney we have never seen this much rain and we were at Disney for Hurricane Jeanne! We are currently on the way home about to get to Atlanta and it has rained most of the way home We have a bit of a break in the rain at the moment but have at least one more blob on the radar before we get home. I've got lots of party pictures on the camera that I'll start working on tomorrow!

We actually left very late Monday night and drove to Ocala. We had always planned to break down Monday night and just sleep in the camper and pull out early Tuesday, but with all the rain, we couldn't put everything away and keep it dry and still sleep in the camper, so we headed on out and got a hotel.
