Our President....gotta love him!

I don't really like any of the ads- they will never give an accurate portrait of any candidate.
That people rely on TV commercials to make a decision about who to vote for scares me to death.

I think this is very true, on both sides. I couldn't agree more.

I HATE election years! I am so tired of all the mud slinging. Honestly, I don't believe 100% of what I see in any ad for either canidate. Look around in the world and this country and tell me what you see. I see

Higher medical insurance yearly.
Gas prices through the roof. Don't even get me started on heating oil prices!
Thousands of Americans have died in the "war on terror" both in our country and overseas.
The last I checked, the US was part of the UN...so why did we not want their approval before starting the war?
The cost of living in going up and heck of a lot higher than what most people make.

I am not endorsing any canidate here...just telling you what I see in my world. Not a very optimistic picture.

Missyc-I agree with the majority of the postings, it was a wonderful portrayal of our President. Thanks for posting.

I agree, but if those types are shown, I prefer the positive ones, not the negative ones.

Thank you for the post MissyC... It was very interesting... I much prefer good ads to mudslinging... It is as if it is now acceptable to make oneself look better by making everyone else look bad...

That board is ROUGH! I used to enjoy a good debate but it seems alot of folks on that board don't understand the concept, present company excepted, Briar Rose.

I truly did just want to share this with those who see him as I do.

Then you ought to find a place to post this drivel where only those who believe it will see it.

I don't know...they are looking kinda hostile over here too!

I really liked that commercial, thank you for posting the link. I had not seen it before and it reminded me of the things I like about President Bush.

A friend of mine in college had a button that keeps popping into my head these days. It read:

Go, lemmings, go !

I miss that button:rolleyes:

They forgot about the numbers on health care.....and gas prices....and tax cuts for millionaire cronies...I wonder why?

Thanks Missy, Just one more reason why I am proud that he is my president. All of my sons love him too! I would like to update jobs added to the economy. 285,000 last month. 100,000 more than what was predicted.

So what about the 3,000,000 lost before this time? and what about the fact that these "new" jobs are much lower paying jobs then the ones lost? Bush is on track to be the only president since the great depression to have lost jobs during his term as president. Potentially 1.5 million jobs less than when he took office. The current trend is only lessening his poor performance in the last 3 years. Not in the least making up for it.

and while we're talking numbers.... what about the 4 billion dollar decifit for this year which is in stark contrast to the budget surplus which existed when he took office? (and thats just THIS year, not the preceeding years which were also deficits).

Sorry... no amount of flowerly "oh isnt this nice" commericial can cover up for the damage this man has caused our country.

As a moderator I make it a habit to "keep it to myself".... as for everyone else, they have a right to speak on it if they feel the need.

The economic distress our country has endured, and is working through is due primarily to the September 11th tragedy. You are naive if you believe that 9/11 could have or would have been avoided if Gore was in office. Have we already forgotten how many industries were financially destroyed because of that tragedy. The stock market crashed, people lost their entire life's savings, American's quit traveling and spending, companies went under, layoffs were forced.Tax cuts were necessary to fuel the economy--Alan Greenspan stated that plainly and clearly.

I don't understand how we can pretend like that tragedy had no bearing on the loss of jobs and the deficit--and that it's Bush's fault. Do you REALLY TRULY believe we would be thriving with Gore in office.

I point my finger at Bin Laden and the terrorists.

AMEN!!

I loved the ad - and I will proudly vote for G.W. this November.

This type of thread drives me crazy! Keep your opinions to yourself? Keep it on the DB? OK but I won't watch the ads.

I don't watch ads anyhow, they're all nonsense IMO.

I thank you very much for posting this. I really wanted to bring it up, but I was worried about starting another debate. I need to stop worrying about making others mad at me.
