I got a new job YEAH...and told them that I "might" have a "family reunion" the end of Sept. 1st week of Oct. HEY, it IS a family reunion..Disney IS my family They said that would be FINE!!! WOOT WOOT!! Now I just need Disney to offer FREE DINING and I'm set!!!

Personal info: we're Barb and Tim from Winnipeg, Canada, we fall into the over 40 crowd, travelling to WDW to celebrate our 25th anniversary. Leaving the grown kiddies behind and by that time, 2 grandbabies This will be my husbands first time to WDW and my second. My first trip was just to the MK in '81 .. I've heard it's changed a bit since then Can't wait to get to know you folks a little better too

Hi Everyone, I just wanted to check in quick and let you know that I am home from Disney, I have been for a few days. The P&P party was awesome, I loved it, Disney was awesome. Lots of characters and just really excellant character interaction. Rode Rock & Roll for the first time and it was totallly awesome. The weather was beautiful, food was great and I love Pop so it was awesome.

However my trip ended early as Friday morning my Mom called and said that my dog, who is my baby fell off a chair wrong and hurt his front paw, she took him to the vets right away and he hyperextended the tendons in his left front paw, needless to say I needed to come home early and in the process with change fees, etc, to help I had to cancel my plane reservations and use what was left after the penalty to pay for my early trip home, so I probably will not be able to make the the October DIS meet, it really breaks my heart to say that, you have no idea how much I was looker forward to that, but at this point with money, the dog, etc, I just don't see it happening.

Aw im so sorry to hear about your dog Jen! I hope everything turns out alright and that he (or she) feels better really soon! Like Jenny said you never know about Oct. Things may turn around. But your family comes first and you can always catch us next time around. Let us know how things turn out for your dog. Ill be keeping you in my thoughts!

I agree with you Cheryl, last Wednesday here it was 80 and on Friday we got about a foot of snow too, it was so wild!!!

Jake is doing much better, acting like his old self, I am so HAPPY!!!! Thanks for all the prayers. He goes this Thursday for a check up and I'm praying it is good.

On a happier note, some friends of mine, we always head out to the LA area in June and this year I decided I am going to let them drop me off for a few days in Disneyland so I am very excited about that. Hoping everything at home stays calm for this trip.

Wish I could make the DIS meet but since I had to cancel that airfare to help pay for my early airfare home, it doesn't look like it will happen but you never know, maybe the airlines will have really good deals. Not sure. It makes me really sad that I won't be able to meet all of you, maybe next year we can do it again, or maybe next year do MVMCP. Just an idea.

Hi...I'm relatively new here on the DIS...but can I join in the fun?

The meet sounds like a lot of fun. As does the MNSSHP. I've been to MVMCP, but never the Halloween one. And it was on my list of things to do some day...so this year is the year! As is food and wine, never done that either, so this trip will have several firsts! School schedules always got in the way of going in October. Last October, no school, but I had just started my job...this year, bring on the headless horseman!

I'd love to do the bibbity bobbity meet too! I'd also like in on the dinner, but don't want to take up a spot in case I have to cancel the trip at the last minute (job again). So I will try to make a ressie for the same time you're there, instead.

A little about me and my group:
Me (28, 29 by then...better get used to saying it...ouch! ) Lifelong disney lover, trips on site starting in early high school. Haven't gotten to Disney as much as I'd like in the past couple of years (just weekend trips), but hope to remedy that soon. I need more of a fix! Graduated law school in May 2006 and started my new job in September. Love what I do, although I have much much to learn.

My mom: Young at heart, my partner in Disney crime. She is always who I travel to Disney with. When my friends ask why we go back so much...she understands...she doesn't think we go back enough! Looves Johnny Depp. We will definately have to give the pirate and princess party a go sometime soon as well. We have always been close, and I really enjoy these trips with her. Not sure if she will want to join the meet part of the trip or not, she may want to take it easy for a night, I will ask.

So, that's us. Very excited about the meet! Hope its OK that I come too!

Thats so exciting about California and Disneyland. Ive never been there and hope to someday! you will have to tell us all about your trip.

Keep checking the airlines I know southwest has the "ding" program and sometimes has wicked good deals. so who knows what they will have. Hopefully we can all get together again next year.

Ewww...I'm so sorry you've been sick. It sure has been going around though! I hope you are feeling a lot better! My job is going fantasitc! It's all stressful in the beginning and there is so much I need to learn. It'll take time, but I love it!
