Our Not so wonderful free dining trip!

Ok, so last I left off, we had just gotten off of Buzz. We then headed towards the speedway to meet up with the fam and went over towards big thunder mt. Love that ride. Hubby went on it, suprise as he hates rollercoasters. The rest of the fam went to take DN on the Alladins. After that, we all met up for lunch. We did Peco's Bill, I had the BBQ pork sandwich DH, DD, DB and DS had the burgers. We each gave some of our burgers and fries to the boy so he wouldn't starve. ;) . It was getting hotter and more crowded by this time, so we decided to call it a morning and head to the pool.

It was around 12:30-1:00 by the time we got back to the hotel. We changed into our suits and then went to the pool. I had a pina colada and DH had a beer as did my dad and bro. Sis was busy swimming with DN. It was then that he found the pool slide. After many attempts of walking him up to the top, only for him to chicken out :scared: and walk back down, I finally coaxed him into going down. Well, not coax as opposed to push, which is exactly what I did. On our last trip up I told him I was going down with him, which was a big NO NO according to the life guards. So I started to sit down behind him, and OOOPPPSSSS, I pushed him on ahead of me :rolleyes1 . I saw him go around the bend so I smile :) and wave :wave2: to him. Now before you think I am a horrible person, my brother was of course waiting to catch him as he came down, plus he had swimmies on, so I new he was going to be fine. When he got to the bottom, this was his face  . I came down next and then I got this face from DN  . Yep, he was scared at first, shed a tear or two, then got mad because I had tricked him, and then wanted to do it AGAIN. Yep folks, he loved it! We couldn't get him off it for the rest of the trip. He is such a cutie. Sometimes us Aunties know whats best for your kid. If my bro and sis had thier way, he would be a whiney momma's boy, EXCUSE me, not MY nephew!!Anyway, all was well with the world, nephew was fine, my bro and sis didn't know that I practically forced him, :rolleyes1 and so we ended our afternoon with one last trip down the slide for DN, then we got dried off, headed back to the room to get changed for our evening at Epcot and dinner at Germany.

Two other points to add. I cut my hair to just past my shoulders. I want to grow my bangs out, then it's getting cut to just above my shoulders. If hubby doesn't like it, he can go to beauty school and learn how to cut, blow dry and style long hair. I am sick of it, it takes to long in the morning to do, and I look like poo with my hair undone. Or DH can take a flying leap, can you tell that he is the one who likes long hair?

DN and Bro came up this weekend. DS was in Italy on business. DN is getting so big and talking, talking, talking and more talking. He didn't want to leave us and cried, melted my heart that he had so much fun he didn't want to leave. Of course it could be because we supplied him all you can eat cotton candy, ice cream, cupcakes, mcdonalds, etc... It's amazing how different my bro is when his wife is not around. I guess I know who wears the pants in that family.

More later!

Hi everyone! Ok, you "lurkers" time to come out and comment!!! How is it that some TR's have a million people posting, and I have like 3!! Come on people!!

Anyway, just a little update. My bro called my dad last week hysterical! Seems that DN kept closing and rubbing his eye. They took him to the pediatrician who reffered him to an opthamologist. He has a slight lazy eye, so the doctor recommended glasses. He also told my bro, just to be on the safe side wants DN to have a CAT scan to rule out any underlying problems. The doc did say that he didn't notice anything suspicous, but just to be 100% sure, to have one. I did some research online (big mistake) and seems they could be checking for nueroblastoma which is a cancer of the eye. 2 of the symptoms is a white film in the eye or a lazy eye. So, as you can probably all guess, we are in a panic over here. DN goes for CAT scan today at 2:30est, so if you could send some prayers and or pixie dust over here, it would be greatly appreciated!!

DH left for VA for 2 weeks for work. He left yesterday, and I am missing him already.

Anyway, back to the trip report.

Ok, so last I left off we were back at our hotel room getting ready. It was our Epcot night, so we jumped on the bus and headed over there. Getting to Epcot was easy, and I love seeing Spaceship Earth! Unfortunatley the ride was closed for refurbishment, but that was ok, because it needed it, and we will of course be back again to ride it. We headed over to Figment, DN didn't like it, but the rest of us did. Then we headed over to Club Cool, I got Pop, and DH with Beverly, then being a good sport tried it myself. Horrible. I thought it was going to be like sour candies or something, it was more like cough syrup! By this time we were all getting hungry, so we headed towards Mexico. We rode El Rio De Tiempo. It was ok, I am kinda nostalgic for the old ride, but this was cute too. We wanted DN to ride, but at the last minute he refused, so it was just DH and I . Bro, sis, DN and Pop walked around the shops and took bathroom breaks. We then headed towards Germany. Bro checked us in for ADR and then we broused the shops. We got seated not long after checking in. Our waitress came over and got our drink order, told us about the buffet and then disappeared. We all got in line. Let me just say this, I wouldn't say this was horrible, it just wasn't really great. It was a terribly small buffet in my opinion, and if you are a picky eater, skip this place. They didn't really have a big selection. What I did get was good, none of us really had any complaints about the food. It wasn't fantastic, but is wasn't horrible either. When we got back to the table with our plates, our drinks still weren't there yet. In fact it was a while before they got there. I had a diet coke and a water. The water was terrible!! I mean worse than the water from the water fountains! I know a lot of people talk about the taste of the water, but seriously, I do think there was a problem with the water in Germany. Aside from all that, the ambiance was nice, the entertainment was good, and it was air conditioned, which was a big plus in the heat!

After dinner, we were going to stroll out thru the WS and then back to the hotel. A huge storm was coming in so we pretty much power walked back to the hotel. When we got back to the hotel, a monsoon hit. No lie, it was terrible. In the short walk from the bus stop to our room, we were soaked. We all hung out in our room then it was time for bed.

See yall later!!

Curiosity question: Have you had your blood checked for genetic clotting problems - my daughter was high risk due to carrying a gene from her father and paternal grandmother which can cause second trimester miscarriages. If the doctor is reluctant, insist. If you have a family history of strokes, DVTs, birth-control-pill headaches or even varicose veins, I would ask for testing.

My daughter had to give herself a daily shot of blood thinners but had no other problems.
