Thanks for answering my way too personal question! I'm glad you decided to have kids...not that deciding not to is a *bad* thing, but I just love kids, being a teacher, so I think they bring joy - well most of the time...hehehe. I don't have any of my own as I am not married yet, but I hope to one of these days - though I better not wait oto long as I will be 35 in October.
Anyway, your job seems like a good one to have when you have kids because you do a lot of your work from home, right?
Oh and congrats on going to Disney next month! The time will fly!
you have plenty of time!!! i'm in no hurry, either. i do a lot of my work at home, but i will still have to find child care for them. i thought when i first started doing this that it would be easy to keep kids at home while your'e working, but it's definitely not. i have a friend who started court reporting the same time i did. she had a 4-month-old then and QUICKLY realized that you can't get anything done. once you sit down and actually get started on a transcript, you have to get up again and tend to the child. and having to interrupt your work like that is really annoying and you get nothing done, besides the fact that it's not fair to the kid! so i will be looking for a nanny or daycare situation because that's not gonna work!
Another thing I like to do is make an ADR for Crystal Palace before MK opens. That way you get into the park and get all these Main Street and Castle pics before hardly ANYONE else is there. The place looks deserted! I have a few that I will post over on my TR when I get to that day, as Mom and I did that in Dec.
i thought about that for our december trip but none of my travelmates are big winnie the pooh fans (neither am i). i mean, i like the characters, but they're not a must-do for me. so we opted to go with a breakfast at tusker house instead.
Those are some great pictures. That is great that you got to be with Alice and the Mad Hatter. I met Alice in Epcot in June. She was really sweet.
So -- what did you think about SYTYCD -- I am glad that Joshua and Katie made it to the top 4.
i just love alice!!! i have her song "a world of my own" as my myspace page song.
i was happy with the results. i think the right 4 are in the top, although i do think will is brilliant and should've made it further than he did. it's so hard to pick just one!!!
Well, if I have to be back at school for a day of meetings and moving furniture in my classroom, at least I have a "Dawn" update to cheer me up!
awwww.....you're so sweet! hope your day back at school was a good one!
Love the opening videos -- wish I was there right now!
me, too!!! i wish i could wake up and see that at least once a week.
There are never too many castle pictures. I may have to make one of them my desktop wallpaper on my work computer!!!
cool! feel free!!!
I was cracking up with your Alice story -- I am a big Alice fan, also (due to my mom who loved Alice and decorated my room in Alice stuff when I was little), and in June of 2007, I was with Chelsea and Connor waiting to ride the teacups when Alice and the Mad Hatter took a little girl to ride the teacups. I made a beeline to get the teacup next to them!!! As soon as we were finished I had to call my mom and tell her, "We rode the teacups, and Alice and the Mad Hatter were RIGHT NEXT TO US!!!" It is one of my favorite memories EVER at WDW! I am just a big kid still, I guess.
that's so neat! i love that your mom decorated your room with alice stuff. i just love the story and how "proper" she is. i have an alice bag that has a picture of her holding a mushroom on it and it says, "curiouser and curiouser." so cute!
And hurray for being able to say that you are going to WDW next month!!!
Thanks for the advice! We would likely skip AK, as we too would do the trip trying to save money. I'm just interested to see how people do shorter trips. I'll look forward to your TR!
keep an eye out for a link in my signature! i will probably start a pre-TR (maybe) when we get back from our september trip.
Congrats on the Teacup ride!!!

How great that your last day at WDW was so magical... I think the last day is the one that always really sticks with me so it is nice when it goes great

I too woke up this morning saying

I get to go to Disney this month and to top it off my travel documents came today!
Your pictures are amazing - Thanks for the disney fix!
YOU'RE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD THIS MONTH!!!!

doesn't that feel good? thanks for your nice comments!
Wow! Sounds like you two had a fantastic morning! I really can't wait to hear about the rest of the day!
Thanks so much for sharing the pics/videos at rope drop. We've been to WDW so many times and never made it to one

.......that may have to change!
it's really a neat little show! you just have to get there by 8:45 to see it. as long as it's not a busy day, you'll be able to see it from anywhere inside the turnstyles.
I'm so happy that you got to ride the teacups with Alice and the Mad Hatter.....how fun! You really can see the excitement on your face!
i'm such a dork!
YAY for WDW again next month!!!
Hi pumkin

love your name by the way
I have enjoyed everything about your trip report. Love all the pictures. I felt like I was there with you guys. I know there's more to report so i'm still here waiting for more.
thanks! my grandpa's nickname for me is "punkin" because he said i looked like a pumpkin out of a pumpkin patch when my mom brought me home from the hospital. plus i was REALLY fat until i was about 4 - i mean so fat my mom had to pull the rolls back to wash the dirt out from between my layers of fat!
thanks for reading, by the way!
I've never noticed the upside down hidden Mickeys on this part of the castle! I bet you didn't either when you snapped this haha.
Wasn't it you that talked about going to the World in the 90's and the line for IASM was held up because of princess Di and the boys being there? I found this little gem while just surfing around, and it reminded me of that story you told (sorry if it wasn't you!):

so cool!!!! i never noticed that. thanks for posting it!
and no, that wasn't me - i think it was danielle but i do think it was here on my TR. i hope she sees this so she can read it because it's really cool!
DANIELLE!!!!! COME READ OVER HERE!!!!
Thank you for posting MK Rope Drop. We have never done any rope drop and hope to this next trip at MK. Our plan is to eat breakfast at Main Street Bakery - French Toast Loaf! Then onto Fantasyland for Dumbo, Tea Cups, Philharmagic and Peter Pan. We have never started in FL. I'm hoping we can get through those pretty quickly.
that shouldn't be a problem as long as you're not there on a super busy day. you should be able to knock those out by 10:00 or so.
So cool about the Mad Hatter and Alice. They rode on our Tea Cup ride - they got in with 2 adults. My DS was glad they didn't come with us - it would have freaked him out. I thought it was so awesome that they rode...it was during
MVMCP. Then we saw Pooh and Eeyore ride Pooh with a family!
I'm in the back of this pic in the Red Sweatshirt and pony tail - I just kept watching them. (DH took the pic)
Love the pics of you happy on the Tea Cups!
so cool that you guys got to ride with them too! i don't know why they didn't actually ride in a teacup when we saw them. maybe because the ride wasn't full?

love your picture of the mad hatter!
Awww, how cool that you rode the teacups with Alice and the Mad Hatter!!! I know you were just thrilled!!!!
The first picture of the castle with Walt and Mickey is just gorgeous!!!!
yes, i was like a giddy little girl!
I have to butt in to say I was just relieved Twitch made it through! I never vote but couldn't resist this week. I think Joshua might win....but I am happy with all of the top 4. I was hoping for that group!
i really like all of them. i have NO CLUE who's going to win. it should be interesting!!!
