i hope that's not true about disney telling the media before their employees. that doesn't seem right!
Great update and pics as always!!
You both look so cute in your ears!! I was showing Chad your pics with the ears begging him to get some when we go down there so we will see!![]()
Great updates Dawn! i like how you made the font bigger and with colors very cool!
I broke down and bought some stuff from Disney Shopping today...my DH thanks you!![]()
You guys are so cute in your ears!
The birds ruining your breakfast is horrible!
I love the pics of Swiss Family Treehouse - we have never done it but always want to. That lookout is amazing! I saw that you posted that lookout pic on POTD thread and couldn't wait to read about it!
I love that Ray is wearing his ears over his Red Sox hat - he has to represent! Go Sox!![]()
Dawn - Your pictures are great! So vivid and colorful!
I laughed about your Casey's experiences. My DD is the same as Ray - would be so content eating every meal here. She LOVES the cheese fries and would NEVER consider splitting a meal with me. And a word to the wise, the ducks will AND do come inside at Casey's! Can't tell you how many times we've sat by that big screen and had ducks at our feet!
Awesome installment (s)!!! I love the bag....its perfect! I also love all of your beautiful MK pics! You all look like you are really enjoying yourselves yet not rushing! Only a half a dog huh???? No wonder you are so sleek and slender! Can't wait for more!!!

I LOVE Ray's Mickey ears! Where did you get them?? They look like they are on baseball cap with the Red Sox stitched on. I need to get me a pair of those for my trip in Feb!
No, Disney didn't go to the media first. It was the employees who went to the media before Disney could. According to the story I saw down in Orlando, Disney told the employees first, then the employees were upset, so they went to the media before Disney had the opportunity. I think it forced Disney to make a press release before they were prepared to. This is only according to the news report I saw though, so who knows what's true and what's not. They are keeping all of the restaurants open though. Another story I saw is a plan to build one of those huge ferris wheel type things, like the London Eye in London and people can see the Orlando skyline. I don't think that's Disney affiliated though. I think that is just the city of Orlando.
Jiminy Cricket! What a find... he looks so cool, I would love to see him and would wait for him too! Great fun at MK... but all your WDW seem so fun!
I think Casey's is yummy.... I had never been there before and will certainly be back... but the ducks don't bother me, Em loved them!
Yayyy! You wore your Chip & Dale shirt! (Which I have since copied...!)![]()
I'm so with you on those evil birds, too.
A fun day in MK so far!![]()
in 31 years of life i had only gotten sick from alcohol twice: once the first time i got drunk and once in savannah when i mixed too many different liquors. pretty good track record, huh? and i could hold my own with anyone when drinking. but after i lost the weight i did last year and reduced my calorie intake, i just can't do it any more! i got sick twice last year in a 12-month period from drinking. i think i had 4 margaritas (used to be nothing to me) the first time and 3 glasses of wine the second time.![]()
I'm so sad about this I practically lived at the Adventurers Club when I was a castmember and always drop in at least once every trip just to relive those times. Here's a pretty good listing of what Disney has in mind for the area:No, Disney didn't go to the media first. Another story I saw is a plan to build one of those huge ferris wheel type things, like the London Eye in London and people can see the Orlando skyline. I don't think that's Disney affiliated though. I think that is just the city of Orlando.
also, as far as our december trip goes, we purchased our MVMCP tickets on friday!!!![]()
makes it seem more official that we're going now!
i decided to have an alternate plan in case we get there and they're calling for downpours on sunday night, the night we're supposed to go to MVMCP. i read that the "official" policy is that there are no ticket exchanges for this, but if you want to exchange your tickets for another night that isn't sold out, it's usually not a problem. so i called and got alternative ADRs and here's our alternative plan. of course, i'm hoping my original plan will work, but it's always good to have a backup!
thursday, december 11 - DHS / lunch at sci-fi at 12:50 / block party at 3:00 / dinner at a CS / fantasmic at 7:00 / osborne lights
friday, december 12 - AK (i was hoping to get tusker house breakfast, but NO ADRs were available that morning! so we're doing CSs all day instead which actually will make it easier since it's our alternate MVCMP day.) / lunch at a CS / jingle jungle parade at 3:45 / WL to check out christmas decorations / MK for MVMCP / dinner at a CS
saturday, december 13 - MK / lunch at a CS / castle lighting at 5:45 / dinner at kona cafe at 6:20 / GF to see christmas decorations / back to MK for wishes at 9:00 and spectro at 10:00
sunday, december 14 -beach club to see christmas decorations / character breakfast at cape may cafe (we were gonna do lunch at beaches & cream on our epcot day, but i wanted a character meal at some point and if we aren't doing tusker house, this was my second choice) / EPCOT w/ lunch & dinner at a CS / be sure to see christmas storytellers at WS / christmas tree lighting at 6:00 / illuminations at 9:30
