our non-rushing (sorta) disney anniversary w/ PICS & VIDEO! new TR link - p. 136

Great updates Dawn! i like how you made the font bigger and with colors very cool!

I broke down and bought some stuff from Disney Shopping today...my DH thanks you! :rotfl:

You guys are so cute in your ears!

The birds ruining your breakfast is horrible!

I love the pics of Swiss Family Treehouse - we have never done it but always want to. That lookout is amazing! I saw that you posted that lookout pic on POTD thread and couldn't wait to read about it!
I love that Ray is wearing his ears over his Red Sox hat - he has to represent! Go Sox!:thumbsup2

Dawn - Your pictures are great! So vivid and colorful!

I laughed about your Casey's experiences. My DD is the same as Ray - would be so content eating every meal here. She LOVES the cheese fries and would NEVER consider splitting a meal with me. And a word to the wise, the ducks will AND do come inside at Casey's! Can't tell you how many times we've sat by that big screen and had ducks at our feet!

Awesome installment (s)!!! I love the bag....its perfect! I also love all of your beautiful MK pics! You all look like you are really enjoying yourselves yet not rushing! Only a half a dog huh???? No wonder you are so sleek and slender! Can't wait for more!!!

I LOVE Ray's Mickey ears! Where did you get them?? They look like they are on baseball cap with the Red Sox stitched on. I need to get me a pair of those for my trip in Feb!

i hope that's not true about disney telling the media before their employees. that doesn't seem right!

No, Disney didn't go to the media first. It was the employees who went to the media before Disney could. According to the story I saw down in Orlando, Disney told the employees first, then the employees were upset, so they went to the media before Disney had the opportunity. I think it forced Disney to make a press release before they were prepared to. This is only according to the news report I saw though, so who knows what's true and what's not. They are keeping all of the restaurants open though. Another story I saw is a plan to build one of those huge ferris wheel type things, like the London Eye in London and people can see the Orlando skyline. I don't think that's Disney affiliated though. I think that is just the city of Orlando.

Jiminy Cricket! What a find... he looks so cool, I would love to see him and would wait for him too! Great fun at MK... but all your WDW seem so fun!

I think Casey's is yummy.... I had never been there before and will certainly be back... but the ducks don't bother me, Em loved them!

Yayyy! You wore your Chip & Dale shirt! (Which I have since copied...!) :thumbsup2

I'm so with you on those evil birds, too.

A fun day in MK so far! :)

Loved your cute tshirt and mouse ears, perfect outfit for MK:cutie:

I will now have to climb SFR tree house, that shot of the castle/SM is really cool.

Great update and pics as always!!

You both look so cute in your ears!! I was showing Chad your pics with the ears begging him to get some when we go down there so we will see!:thumbsup2

thanks! ray actually is the one who wanted to get personalized ears when we went last year. of course i agreed!

Great updates Dawn! i like how you made the font bigger and with colors very cool!

thanks! i did that so that it will be easier to identify the updates if you're just scrolling through.

:rotfl: you're welcome! i bought more stuff, too. i got some early christmas presents for my nieces and nephews. i'm usually done christmas shopping before thanksgiving and i plan to get an extra early jump on it this year so i don't have to be thinking about it around the holidays and instead enjoy planning our disney trip! ;)

you know it! it's either the red sox hat or the tennessee vols hat. i think our narcoosee's night was the only time he didn't wear a hat.

oh, goodness....if i ever saw a duck in there i would probably have to shew him out! i know that sounds silly but something inside me can't relax if i'm anywhere near any sort of bird! it's called ornithophobia and i have a raging case of it! :scared1:

 thank you! we did the DDP last year and it was just way too much food for us. believe me.....i struggle to maintain my weight so i love food! but i cut my calorie count way back last year and i just can't eat that much any more. that's not to say i'm not tempted to stuff an entire hot dog in my face at times!

I LOVE Ray's Mickey ears! Where did you get them?? They look like they are on baseball cap with the Red Sox stitched on. I need to get me a pair of those for my trip in Feb!

oh, he's just wearing normal mickey ears on top of his red sox hat, which he has on backwards. clever, huh? ;) you can see the bill of his hat in the picture of him walking over the bridge to the treehouse. we got our mickey ears last year in the hat store to the right just past tony's at MK. they have embroidering there, too!

oh, okay. gotcha. i just misunderstood what you posted. the whole situation is just stinky, IMO. i'm sure what they put in will be great.....i just hope they keep the AC because i know how beloved it is.

i wish i liked ducks, but i have ornithophobia (fear of birds). seriously.....it's a real thing! i was attacked by a mad mama blue jay when i was 9 and i haven't gotten over it since. i didn't bother her eggs......just went to get the mail at my grandma's house and her next was in a bush next to the mailbox. anyway, the only thing i'm coming near that has feathers and a beak is donald duck! :lmao: oh, and jiminy was super cute!

Yayyy! You wore your Chip & Dale shirt! (Which I have since copied...!) :thumbsup2

yeah, i wore that shirt that day because we were having dinner at LTT and i had to represent for chip and dale! :thumbsup2

great update and pics

I love the bag. very cute.

in 31 years of life i had only gotten sick from alcohol twice: once the first time i got drunk and once in savannah when i mixed too many different liquors. pretty good track record, huh? and i could hold my own with anyone when drinking. but after i lost the weight i did last year and reduced my calorie intake, i just can't do it any more! i got sick twice last year in a 12-month period from drinking. i think i had 4 margaritas (used to be nothing to me) the first time and 3 glasses of wine the second time. :confused3

Oh no! Poor thing! I bet your happy with the trade off though! Congrats on the weight loss!

:goodvibes

Hey punkin, I just started reding your trip report and I'm having a blast. I usually start reading a bunch of reports just before we leave for our trip but I wish I has started yours before now. I have only read day one so far and I'm amazed at the day you guys had.

Great Updates!!! I also signed the save the adventurers club petition. I have never gotten to experience it and it was going to be a must do on my next trip -- but my trip is not until November.

I'm so sad about this I practically lived at the Adventurers Club when I was a castmember and always drop in at least once every trip just to relive those times. Here's a pretty good listing of what Disney has in mind for the area:

http://www.allearsnet.com/news/hnews.htm#062708

sounds pretty good but an obvious attempt to bring in more money making ventures. No matter how good any new addition might be it will never make up for the loss of the Adventurer's Club.

Sorry for the double post I can't quite figure out the multi-quote thing.

Loved your pic of the storm, we're in Marietta and sat on our front porch to watch that coming in Friday, at times the wind was pulling the leaves from the ground up into the air.

So gald Ray liked EPCOT, I had been wondering if he knew there was beer over there, since his pre trip picture featured a glass of beer ;)

We had the same imaginary home when we were kids ! I always drag poor DH up in the Swiss Family Treehouse every trip, I was glad they didn't change it to Tarzan like the one in DL.

And last, isn't it amazing how your camera can tell when you're drunk and automatically adjust to your vision :lmao:

You know...i have never been to the treehouse! it look so fun though..i will have to check it out next time we go!
I didn't have any idea of the changes in DTD!!! The new proposed ideas look cool..but it is too bad that so many old favorites will be lost :(

also, as far as our december trip goes, we purchased our MVMCP tickets on friday!!! :yay: :santa: makes it seem more official that we're going now!

i decided to have an alternate plan in case we get there and they're calling for downpours on sunday night, the night we're supposed to go to MVMCP. i read that the "official" policy is that there are no ticket exchanges for this, but if you want to exchange your tickets for another night that isn't sold out, it's usually not a problem. so i called and got alternative ADRs and here's our alternative plan. of course, i'm hoping my original plan will work, but it's always good to have a backup!

thursday, december 11 - DHS / lunch at sci-fi at 12:50 / block party at 3:00 / dinner at a CS / fantasmic at 7:00 / osborne lights

friday, december 12 - AK (i was hoping to get tusker house breakfast, but NO ADRs were available that morning! so we're doing CSs all day instead which actually will make it easier since it's our alternate MVCMP day.) / lunch at a CS / jingle jungle parade at 3:45 / WL to check out christmas decorations / MK for MVMCP / dinner at a CS

saturday, december 13 - MK / lunch at a CS / castle lighting at 5:45 / dinner at kona cafe at 6:20 / GF to see christmas decorations / back to MK for wishes at 9:00 and spectro at 10:00

sunday, december 14 -beach club to see christmas decorations / character breakfast at cape may cafe (we were gonna do lunch at beaches & cream on our epcot day, but i wanted a character meal at some point and if we aren't doing tusker house, this was my second choice) / EPCOT w/ lunch & dinner at a CS / be sure to see christmas storytellers at WS / christmas tree lighting at 6:00 / illuminations at 9:30

Guess what!!!! I'm 99% sure that we're going to Disney World in December and our dates will overlap. We're looking at the 13th-18th. :cool1: I'll have to pull the kids from school for a couple of days but we didn't have any issues last year and I don't anticipate any this year. Our school district excuses students for family vacations if they are educational and disney world is considered just that.

Loved the updates. My kids loved the treehouse. In fact, my youngest son wants his daddy to build him one just like the one at Disney World.
:rotfl:

Your dinner at Narcoossee's looked fantastic....even better with a few drinks...that mojito looks good. I'll have to put it on the list......
