What a fun trip report! The teacup video is hilarious! It looks like y'all have a bunch of fun. I can't wait to read more.

I agree, pants in WDW are illegal!!!;)
:rotfl:
I personally think one should always wear their pants. I think they frown on going pantsless....:rolleyes1
:rolleyes1 :lmao:
Well, if Donald Duck doesn't have to wear pants, why do the rest of us?:rotfl:
::yes:: thats more like it, live like donald.

we had to wear hoodies at night in late april/early may this trip. i'm hoping it's at least cool enough for that in december!

Sounds great to me. I can't wait to see Disney at Christmas time, one more year

in other news.......did you guys hear that tinker bell got her own star on the hollywood walk of fame? how cool is that??? my boss told me that the other day and when i got excited about it her husband goes, "she's not real. she has no personality." um......EXCUSE ME......but tinker bell has WAY more personality than 80 percent of the people in hollywood these days!!!! and she's WAY more famous than a lot of the other recipients. lighten up!!!

here's a link about it: http://www.cnn.com/2008/SHOWBIZ/06/19/hollywood.fame.ap/index.html?eref=rss_showbiz

Yeah Tinkerbell. Her not being real, what does he know, obviously nothing

Of course Tinkerbell is real. The nerve of some people. I bet he does not believe in pixiedustpixiedust: either.

Your December plans sound wonderful.

I'm glad to see that your are doing MVMCP. I have been in beginning to mid Dec and really like it. You will need a sweatshirt just about every night - and that's coming from someone in the Northeast! We actually wore our winter coats at MVMCP one year! When we went that time of year wasn't that busy.
My fav part of the MVMCP parade are the Toy Soldiers. Osbourne Lights are really cool to see if you have never seen them before.

Those plans sound great!!!!!!!

What a weirdo! Tinker Bell needs to throw some pixie dust on him!pixiedust:

Sounds like a GREAT way to get into the holiday spirit! It will be so nicely decorated everywhere you go.

Tinkerbell is not real? Okay, then who is that that flies across the sky by the castle?!?!? Witnessed by thousands, I might add. Is that not enough proof that she is real?

i'm really looking forward to disney at christmas. what i'm not looking forward to is explaining to my family that i will not be home for christmas this year, as expected. instead i'm going for thanksgiving. they don't understand my disney "thing". but they don't have to!

good point about tink! ::yes::

Hello Dawn!!!! :yay: Memom sent me over and I just wanted to say HI! ;) I read your whole trippie so far. I love how you did all of the links! Very nice. I am just loving your report and the two of you are so cute! :goodvibes I see you are going back in Dec....what a great time to go! :thumbsup2

welcome!!! glad you're here! yes, i'm actually going back twice this year. i'm going back in september with vandyfan10 for a girls' trip. my AP expires on 9/22 and it's during free dining, so how could i say no?? :rolleyes1 and then i'm going back with DH and some friends in december....i can't wait! i'm very blessed this year. :goodvibes

Ray WANTED to go to epcot!!!! Yay!

I hope this time it turned out better!

i know!!!! can you believe it? you'll see shortly! ;)

plans sounds good. I would love to go at Holiday time.

thanks! i'm sure it will be just awesome. and i'm sure you'll be back during the holidays one day!

What a fun trip report! The teacup video is hilarious! It looks like y'all have a bunch of fun. I can't wait to read more.

thanks! i love the teacup video just because of ray laughing in it - it cracks me up! thanks for joining in!!!

where did you find the time about the castle lighting? is thisjus tknown, or did you read it somewhere.

basically, i asked people what they did last year. there's no "official" time listed for this year, but if it's like last year then it's anywhere between 5:45 - 6:00.

Sounds great to me. I can't wait to see Disney at Christmas time, one more year

Yeah Tinkerbell. Her not being real, what does he know, obviously nothing

see......this time next year i'll be jealous of you!!!

what's funny about the whole thing is that he could be mr. incredible's twin......a disney character! kinda ironic. :rotfl:

Of course Tinkerbell is real. The nerve of some people. I bet he does not believe in pixiedustpixiedust: either.

Your December plans sound wonderful.

i'm glad i have magic in my life!!! :wizard:

I do enjoy a good stalking! :teeth:

good, because i'm an EXCELLENT stalker!!! :tiptoe: :cool2:

glad to hear it wasn't too crowded. we are avoiding EMHs, so i think we should be good crowdwise. the only day i'm worried about is saturday at MK. but it's not like we have to ride EVERYTHING there, ya know? i hope we get cool enough weather to wear coats! makes it more christmas-y! :santa:

Those plans sound great!!!!!!!

What a weirdo! Tinker Bell needs to throw some pixie dust on him!pixiedust:

thanks! i'm excited about it!!!

tell me about it! i feel sorry for people with no tink in their lives! :confused3

so last time you were reading this, i had just picked my jaw up off the sidewalk after ray said he wanted to go to epcot before our dinner at narcoosee's! :yay:

after we relaxed for about an hour, we cleaned up and headed out the door. i took this a la jason & brenda (oybolshoi) with the timer, but we were giggling so we don't look as classy as they do in their pics! :lmao:

DSC04380.jpg

we decided to park at the boardwalk and go through the international gateway into epcot WS. only i got turned around and we ended up actually going into epcot's parking lot. i asked the attendant how to get to the boardwalk parking lot and he gave me directions, so we were there in no time. when i got to the boardwalk, the guard asked me for ID, then let me straight through. we parked in the first parking lot we found. i wasn't sure if there was designated parking, but i didn't see any signs. so we just parked wherever.

we walked through the lobby at the boardwalk and down onto the actual boardwalk. this was the first time either of us had seen this area. it's so cute! i wanna come back here and spend more time walking around. i didn't take any pics because i knew we'd be back here on thursday for dinner at spoodles. plus it was around 5:45 and our ADR at narcoosee's was 8:00, so i didn't want to linger at the boardwalk but instead get over to WS and take at least some of it in!

this was so pretty at the international gateway!

DSC04381.jpg

once we got into the park, we didn't go back through england and canada, but instead headed towards france. i figured we could walk around until around 7:00, then we needed to head back to the car and drive to the GF.

as we entered france.......

DSC04383.jpg

the first thing we did was head towards the kiosk with the famous french slushies and got a grand marnier orange slushie to share......so good!!! :cloud9:

DSC04385.jpg

we saw some neat little sitting areas near the back of the france pavilion and decided to check it out. they were so neat! they had them set up in the middle of all kinds of flowers for the flower & garden festival. i want one for my back yard now!

DSC04387.jpg

as we were sitting there, relaxing, a girl came up to us randomly and asked if we wanted her to take our picture. she was really sweet. she said she just loved taking pictures! so of course we said okay.

look who is hogging that grand marnier slushie.....:rolleyes1

DSC04386.jpg

after we relaxed for a few minutes in this neat little area, we headed on to morocco. i just LOVED these flowers. so pretty with the moroccan decor!

DSC04390.jpg

we saw the genie in morocco....one of my FAVORITE characters...:worship:

DSC04392.jpg

continued in next post: http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=25842745&postcount=732

on to japan.......

DSC04393.jpg

we stopped to watch the candy lady for awhile......so neat! ::yes::

DSC04394.jpg

then we went into that ginormous store in the japan pavilion. ray loved this store! he's big into anime and old toys and stuff like that.

did you even know that you could still buy monchichi's???

DSC04395.jpg

there were so many cool things in this store! i loved the dinner ware and the tea sets and things! i didn't think to take a picture........sorry memom!!! i know how you love your shopping pics!

we also went into the tin toy museum or whatever it is. ray LOVED this too! he made me take TONS of pictures from in there to show his nephew. here's one of them.....

DSC04402.jpg

of course i had to take this picture......so pretty!

DSC04403.jpg

ray's got the whole......um......spaceship earth.....in his hands! :rotfl2:

DSC04404.jpg

we walked through the american pavilion and there was a HUGE tour group there, so we kind of rushed through that area. next was italy. here's me and my old pal, neptune.

DSC04405.jpg

i love the architecture in italy......so romantic!

DSC04407.jpg

on to germany we went! we passed this topiary on the way......so cute!

DSC04408.jpg

wow.......those shoulder exercises are really working!!! :rotfl:

DSC04409-1.jpg

on the way to china, we passed the outpost thingie and this group was performing. they were really good too!!!

DSC04410.jpg

on to china! i thought this was so pretty!!!

DSC04412.jpg

and this roof is just unbelievable.

DSC04413.jpg

we didn't get to stay long in china before i realized it was time for us to turn back and head towards the international gateway and back to the car. we had a dinner ressie at narcoosee's for 8:00 and i wasn't gonna be late for that!

on the way back past the outpost, the performers there had gotten some company. i was cracking up taking this picture because these girls were HILARIOUS........i knew jordan would get a kick outta them! ;)

DSC04414.jpg

a very cute lady and the tramp topiary we passed somewhere along the way out of the park.....

DSC04415.jpg

we walked back to the boardwalk and to the car and we were on our way to narcoosee's!!!!!! :yay: :yay: :yay:

next up......dinner and wishes at narcoosee's!!! :jumping1:

Aww, great update Dawn!! You and Ray look so cute all dressed up!! You look adorable in your dress!!! It is so cute!!

great update and pics

the pics are gorgeous.

you are both so strong holding up that spaceship. :rotfl2:

great update, look forward to hearing about dinner.

Yeah! I checked your TR before bed and there was an update! :cool1: :cool1:

I missed the candy lady in Japan. I guess we weren't there at the right time. :confused3 That area in France was great for the F&G festival. We spent some time there at night enjoying some pastries! They were sooo good.

I saw your comment about being away from family at Christmas. A few years back I went on a cruise with a friend the week of Christmas. Not to take anything away from my family, I love them very much -- but that was a GREAT Christmas! I'm glad you will get to see your family at Thanksgiving. :)

I'm happy Ray decided to give Epcot another try. I really enjoy the WS -- there just aren't many places that have such varied architecture. I love just walking around. We stayed there late on an EMH day and when we were leaving we were some of the last people in WS. So pretty and peaceful at night. :)

Hope all is going well. Can't wait for more updates!

I'm really liking this TR. Especially the photography. I probably took about a million photos my last trip. Ok, maybe more like a thousand :rotfl:. I noticed in your last TR (last anniversary?) that Ray's first name is William. That's my late grandpa's name! William Ray. I thought that was cool. If you get ADRs at restaurant Marrakesh in Sept. or Dec. try the Baklava and Moroccan coffee if you get a chance! :hyper:

Looks like you had a nice stroll around the world. I like the pictures of you "holding" spaceship earth.:rotfl:

Dawn, that dress is so pretty! I always feel so sloppy walking into the nice restraunts there in my capri's and drenched in sweat.

Great update, you look so pretty all dressed up. That drink looks super yummy. Pretty Epcot pics, don't you just love that place!!! Love the "holding the ball" pics, we attempted those this year, yours look great. Jealous you got to meet the Genie, we kept missing him!
Can't wait to read more!!!popcorn::
Lesley

What a fun, romantic evening you had - Ray's a smart guy! :thumbsup2 That Grand Marnier slushie looks good - maybe I'll try that one next time instead of the grey goose.

How long does it take to walk through the IG from BW?
