...and does that ever make me feel old! LOL!

The wonderful part is they've decided on a "Destination Wedding", not WDW, (*sigh*I know, I know, not everyone's dream;)), but to the DR, next March or April. WooHoo! An all-inclusive trip!!

...soooo...I'm going to need all the help I can get, planning the ultimate budget trip to WDW/USIOA and the DR.

Bless her little heart..when she called, she said:"We're so excited, because we KNOW you guys are going to come...you have to book the hotel for us!!"

I gotta admit, if there's trip plannin' a-happenin', I'm on it!!LOL

I love family vacations...even better when there's wonderful celebrations and happy promises...:)

Congrats to your niece! Yep, I think when the nieces and nephews start getting married, they will purposely NOT do WDW just to spite their mother/aunts ! Now my DD will be a different story ... guess I better start saving now (she's almost 8 !). :rotfl:

But a trip away to a warm spot like the Dominican does certainly have some appeal to me these days!

Happy Planning!

Congratulations and I won't even ask how old you are!!! My niece and nephews are toddlers so it's going to be a while for that. My DS is 18 though so it could happen in the next decade or two!!

I think destination weddings are nice so hopefully you'll have a great time.

36!:) I don't mind to share my age...I remember, as a kid, when my aunts turned through their thirties...and thinkning how*OLD* that was...

Sigh..it goes around, and comes around!

DH is the youngest in his family by 13 years...his oldest sister and my mom are of the same age...his dad was turning 50 when DH was born...everyone congratulated him on his new grandson!!:) LOL!

Our great-nephew is the same age as our sons! Now THAT makes me sound old!!LOL

We have a big span of ages of the kids (our own/nieces/nephews). My oldest nephew is 21 and the youngest niece is only 3 :teeth: My nephew thought it was really funny that I was twice as old as he was (17 at the time) when I had my DS. I politely reminded him that I was only 17 when his mother (my sister) had him ... and how all my friends in highschool thought it was really weird that I was an aunt. Yep, we'll be doing their weddings long before we get to our own kids ... it's when they start having babies and making me a "great-aunt" that I'm gonna start to feel really old!

My DW, DD and I had a trip planned for Late April to WDW with her parents and her brother. Well her brother recently announced that he was engaged and wanted to get married while in Florida. They are not actually getting married at WDW (due to size of wedding, cost, time, etc) but are getting married at a Gazebo in Kissimmee, and will honeymoon at WDW.

So it gives us another reason to look forward to the trip.

Her brother even said he didn't want it to "mess up my plans" :earsboy:

He knows me too well!

I'm 41 and am going to be a GREAT aunt in May. Lot's of fun teasing my SIL who is the gramma though!!!
