I took a gander at the link to your flicker account. Did my eyes deceive me? Dole whip? Is there a dairy free option for that?! Where, if so?

With the Dole Whips it very much depends on your level of sensitivity as to whether they're safe or not. The vanilla is never safe as it contains casein. The pineapple and orange are vegan. At Aloha Isle they're even served out of a separate machine than the vanilla (with the pineapple it can come from either so make sure to ask for it from the machine that also serves orange). The problem though is that they wash out and use the same bucket for all flavours. It's your call if this is enough of a cross contamination risk to concern you. If it's not then make sure to ask your serve to change gloves and to get a cup from a new sleeve in order to avoid any cross contamination when serving.

I have a DS who is allergic to dairy and a DD who is allergic to nuts & seeds AND.... I was just diagnosed with a gluten allergy. Your post makes me so excited to go to Disney as a family. Like you, I never thought i would be a "Disney person", but the thought of my son being able to order an ice cream, just like every other kid.... makes me tear up! Thanks for the reviews!

Thank you so much for posting this! I had forgotten that we brought our own sprinkles and chocolate chips on our last vacation, so thank you for the reminder! I am going to have to print this out and highlight the different restaurants and suggestions! So glad you had a positive experience!
