~Our March 'Just Engaged',freezing,and full of surprises trip~Updated 6/23 p.76

I love those early morning shots. Is it funny to say that I hear the quiet? I can put myself there and feel the freshness of the new day....Great, great pics.

I thought the exact same thing! I could just get lost in those pics!! :cloud9:

We are not morning people at all...we are lucky, the girls are not either. :) We had never made it to the parks early but last year on our Feb trip I made it a point to make an 8:20 ADR for Crystal Palace and just test us out - we loved it!! Not just CP but getting there early, the quietness, the stillness, the freshness...we stayed on that trip in my very favorite WL, and waiting for the boat on the dock that morning is one of my best memories from that trip. :lovestruc Now, we are converts on early mornings, only in Disney of course. ;) :rotfl:

I haven't tried Tonga Toast but I am a little hesitant b/c, though it sounds like something I would enjoy, the problem is I don't like ripe bananas, I like them more on the green side...they're probably really ripe, right? I've been thinking about getting them at Capt. Cooks just to try them - we love Poly so much and usually spend a lot of time there and eat there several times on our trips. Yup, that's what I'll do. :thumbsup2

We aren't morning people either. But, after this trip, we've changed our minds! And Mom, Dad, and Sis are interested in it after seeing our pics too!

I just love the WL boat dock. It is so beautiful. :cloud9:

Haha, sounds like you made the decision yourself! That's probably a good idea to try it at Capt.Cook's. Probably cheaper!

Haha, I completely get it. I absolutely love the morning pics too. I can honestly look at them and picture myself back to that exact moment.

Hey, that's okay if you don't like the TT! Like I just told Liesa, there are so many great things on the menu!

I am usually a night person, but your pics inspire me to do some early morning shots my next trip!!!!:thumbsup2

thanks again for posting them.

Thanks! It was great!

Did you?! That is awesome! Yep, the Mai Tai and Rasberry Rain!! I feel special.

That's it... the raspberry rain... do you remember what was in it??

I think the Polynesian is my favorite Disney hotel. I love the pictures from Kona.

The Poly is gorgeous. :cloud9:

Oh trust me, I am SO not a morning person. But, this definitely changed my mind about getting up early at WDW!

No I don't. :guilty: I'm sorry! :flower3:

Day 4 continued: March 16, 2010

We left off walking out of the Poly lobby and heading towards the TTC. In case you don’t know exactly which way to go, there are signs every so often along the path:

171.jpg

Instead of speed-walking to the TTC like we usually do, we decided to take our time and enjoy the scenery. We saw some really beautiful things and it was so nice to take the time to “stop and smell the roses”:

172.jpg

173.jpg

174.jpg

Walking on the path always reminds me of the times we stayed at the Poly when I was younger. I have to say I am really excited about staying there again for our honeymoon!

We eventually made our way to the TTC and up to the Epcot monorail. I have to say I got a little sad while here because of the monorail accident that happened just days after we got home from our summer trip. We didn’t have to wait long before a monorail pulled up and we were on our way. It was a packed car, so Fiancé made sure to stand by the doors to get some good shots with the camera. There was a mom and her little girl sitting next to me. I heard her ask her mom, “Mommy, what do their buttons mean?” And she says, “Well honey, it means they are going to get married.” The girl says, “Awww!” We all laughed.

While we were waiting to leave the station, we watched the monorail on the other track:

175.jpg

And before we knew it, we were already arriving at Epcot. I have to say I love riding the monorail to here. My favorite part is actually going through the park.

We’re getting close! The parking lot is usually all the way full in the summer:

176.jpg

Okay, now my favorite part! Haven’t done MS before, and probably never will. HA:

Test Track baby! (Stacey reference for those of you who are fans):

The flower pots in the water were a part of the F&G Festival. Personally, we think they should be there all the time.:

179.jpg

180.jpg

Can you see Farmer Mickey and Minnie?:

181.jpg

The flower designs were amazing:

182.jpg

Fiancé loves this jumping water:

And this:

Going by Nemo!:

186-1.jpg

And then, we pulled into the station and made our way down to the entrance.

187.jpg

Just a tip for you- check ALL the turnstiles. Some down further from everyone else were completely open with no line! We walked right in! As soon as we made it all the way into the park, I was so excited to see this:

188.jpg

After checking out tons of F&G Festival pictures, it was surreal to finally be there.

Donald and Daisy making s’mores:

Tried to get a little bit of everyone with SE:

Fiancé loves this:

After we were done looking around the entrance, we were on a mission to get FP’s for TT. So, we headed there next. But first, we had to take a look at the fountain:

193.jpg

**Continued in next post**

**Continued from previous**

We made our way past Mouse Gears and the Electric Umbrella. We had to talk about the time we saw the guy unconscious on the ground outside here. It was so scary. Luckily, there was a nurse walking by and she stopped to try and help him while the paramedics were on the way. Never did hear anything about him, so he must’ve been okay. Poor guy.

While we were walking up to TT, we saw that FP’s were still available! Score! You see, when we go in the summer, you never know if there will be FP’s left or not. Our return time was 2:55 – 3:55. Perfect. Our Le Cellier ADR is for 2:05, so we decided TT will be our first thing to do afterwards. And hope we don’t puke. HAHA.

With FP’s in hand, we headed to the first F&G thing we saw, which ended up being Princess Tiana’s Wedding Bayou. I have to say, Princess and the Frog is such a cute movie! I just watched it for the first time a few weeks ago with the little guy. He loved it too!

194-1.jpg

It was basically just a little path you walk through and look at the different flowers. There is also a scene with the characters from the movie.

195-1.jpg

196-1.jpg

197-1.jpg

Next, we headed to the Fairy Garden. I was SO excited to see Tink!

198-1.jpg

199-1.jpg

One of Tink’s friends. Forgive me, I don’t know her name. I still haven’t seen the movie. I have a hard time accepting that Tink talks. HAHA. I guess I’m just old school and like her in Peter Pan better.

200.jpg

From there, we walked into the butterfly house. It was so neat in there!

201-1.jpg

202.jpg

Outside on the other side of the butterfly house:

203.jpg

We turned around and right at that moment, a monorail was going by! Ironically, it happened to also be the monorail we rode to Epcot on! Here’s also an upclose view of the flower design we took a pic of from the monorail:

204.jpg

205-1.jpg

As you leave the butterfly house area, you see this pretty design:

206.jpg

When we were done there, we decided to ride SE.

207-1.jpg

There’s the fountain again. It was windy and the water was COLD when it hit you!:

208.jpg

While we were walking, I stopped by one a pin trading cart and grabbed a F&G Festival brochure. The CM noticed our buttons and congratulated us. He asked us if this was our first time at the F&G Festival and we told him it was. He told us a little about that, then he asked us if we had been to Epcot before. We told him yes, and he asked when was the last time, so we said June. Evidently, there is a new thing Innoventions called ‘The Sum of All Thrills’. It’s a robotic arm and you sit at the end. A little thing comes down over you and you basically are building your own ride. We thanked him for the info and said we would check it out.

We’re almost there!:

209-1.jpg

Oh my gosh, it was so windy and cold in line! Everyone who had hoods on had them up. It was definitely weird freezing in WDW. We’re used to being all gross and sweaty. HA. Luckily, the line is always moving, so it didn’t take us long to get on. Of course, the ride was nice as always. Our video of the future was hilarious. We spent some time looking around at all the neat interaction activities you can do once you get off the ride.

When we made our way back outside, we saw Scar and Zazu:

210-1.jpg

We were near Innoventions, so we decided to find The Sum of All Thrills.

211-1.jpg

Yeah…definitely won’t be riding THAT! I’m crazy claustrophobic. The wait to ride was 60 minutes! I’m sure it’s fun for those who like that sort of thing. We headed back outside to check out the wait time for Nemo.

Some more pretty flowers:

212-1.jpg

We made our way up to Nemo and saw that they were already weaving outside!! Plus, there’s more weaving inside! So we decided to skip that and make our way to The Land.

Fiancé liked this tree:

213.jpg

We seriously could not get over how beautiful all the flowers were:

214.jpg

Then, we made our way up the annoying ramp and into The Land.

~Up next:

More of our Epcot morning and our lunch ADR at Le Cellier

Read through it all, but will have to comment tomorrow.... way past my bed time now! :goodvibes

The F&G festival is beautiful. I took so many pictures of the topiaries last year, I just love them. And I see they have some new ones this year- the Donald & Daisy one is adorable! :cutie:

Okay, get to bed missy! :)

It is beautiful, I agree!

Aw, I love your quote under your name! "Paging Mr. Morrow.." will always be one of our favorite quotes from the TTA.

The fairy you took a picture of is Rosetta (I've seen both Tink movies). They are actually quite cute and Tink's voice is adorable!!!

Love your pics taken from the Monorail!!! We're so excited to take the Epcot Monorail in Sept (Madison has never taken it yet!). I couldn't believe how empty the park looked (especially over by the jumping fountains). Back in June, that area was super crowded and I couldn't wait to get out of there! I haven't seen the Fountain of Nations working since I was 15 years old!!! In Jan 09, it was walled off for a refurb. Then, whenever we were there last June, it didn't have any water in it. Tony and Madison have NEVER seen it in action. I'm looking forward to hearing about your meal at Le Cellier! Yummy!

All of the topiaries look so pretty! It is making me so excited for our trip!:yay::yay:
I love the Donald and Daisy roasting smore's scene. hmmm, now I want a smore.....

What a beautiful morning there! I cannot believe how awesome Epcot looked. And this picture is the most beautiful I have ever seen of Epcot. Seriously:

The poly is truly a beautiful resort, I love the colors. It's nice to take some time to enjoy everything around us when in WDW...

I really want to make it down during this time of year, it just really doesn't work with our life/work schedule. I honestly really enjoyed the princess Tiana movie-- The fairy Garden looks so nice..

Thanks for sharing those picture..

Your pictures of the flowers are wonderful. I am going to added the flower festival to things of Disney I need to do.

The story about the little girl on the monorail was so cute.

Great update!! :thumbsup2

Your pictures of Epcot from the monorail are wonderful. I love that part of the ride. It's so cool to see the park from a different perspective. It's been a few years since I last took the monorail to Epcot, but I'm definitely looking forward to doing it again this summer because I'm staying at the Polynesian again. :woohoo:

Haha, thanks!

I hope she likes the ride to Epcot. Make sure she is by the window!

The park was pretty quiet in the morning.

I hope you finally get to see the fountain again!

All of those pictures were such a treat this afternoon! You made my day, tinkgurl!!! Maybe because three :dance3: weeks from today I will be almost to Jill's house and we will be leaving for Disney World! Just realizing we are at the three week mark, and then coming home to find your pictures of flowers and fountains...life is good right at this moment. :thumbsup2

Your thoughts and mine are pretty much identical on Mission:Space and on that roller coaster whirly gig - NOT HAPPENIN'!!! :scared1:
