Saturday, 12/1, Our last day :(
First thing this morning was to call the front desk and request late check out. The latest time they could give me was 12:30. We had breakfast in the room. DD was still sick, so DH stayed back at CR with her. DS and I did our “power run” going from ride to ride at MK before we had to check out at 12:30. Our middle DD didn’t want to go on any of the rides, so she stayed with DH at the resort. DS and I hit all of his favorite attractions – he made me go on Splash Mountain with him again and I got absolutely soaked! I was ready to wring his neck. J

We put our luggage in storage and then took the boat over to Wilderness Lodge to see the geyser and Christmas decorations. They’re beautiful, but I think I enjoyed GF more. From there, we took the boat over to Fort Wilderness because I wanted to check out the cabins. We didn’t end up looking at them because it was going to take too long. So, we just headed back to CR and ate lunch at the Food and Fun Center. By the time we finished lunch, it was already 3:15 and TTC was scheduled to pick us up at 3:30 to head to the airport.

Everything went smoothly at the airport. We were on a somewhat “historic” flight as it was the very last TWA flight out of Orlando. They had fire engines on either side of the jet as we approached the runway. The kids really got a kick out of it.

I was able to meet Disneycrazymom at the gate – they were on the same flight home.

As you can tell, we didn’t have much “down time” in our schedule. Next time, I will plan a little differently because we were all exhausted. We had a really great time and I enjoyed meeting some of the great people that I’d been chatting with here on the boards. I’m already anticipating our next trip with my parents in May, 2002.

Any questions, please feel free to ask!

Beth:

I just read all of your posts and I couldn't believe how much you did! You really planned well in order to see all those shows and attractions! :D Thanks for posting, I enjoyed reading it, and I hope your DD is ok now!!

Yes, we do need a vacation from our vacation! We came home exhausted, but energized at the same time. DD's fever is finally gone - hopefully for good now. DH had been fighting a cold the whole time we were there. I think I've got it now.

sound like you really had a great time and packed a heck of a lot in - thanks for posting!

You can really get exhausted during a trip to WDW, so much so that you need a vacation to recover from your vacation!

I read all of your trip reports and enjoyed each one. Thank you, so much, for taking the time to post them for us to enjoy.
