Our Magical WDW Adventure ~ 23 Days of Fun, Food, Cocktails... London Trip 2/8

ADR's... Part 4

Well today I was finally able to book our final ADR, breakfast at O'hana on our last day. Again we had no problem getting the time and date we wanted and had another very nice CM on the phone. So now all our ADR's are booked, and hopefully by the end of the week our tours will too. Then I can post the updated copy of our itinerary.

Now on the whole I have been pretty happy with the ADR booking process this year. I have to admit all the changes they made did really annoy me, after all I like to have everything planned out as far out as possible, so the new 90 day rule isn't ideal. And the system seemed rather confusing too, I really wasn't sure when I could actually book. However once I could finally book, on the whole I was pleased with the CM's I spoke to, they were generally really nice, and 1 even made some recommendations. However, when I phoned up yesterday I was very upset and annoyed with the CM I spoke to and her rudeness and attitude. When I booked the second lot of ADR's, like I said before, I thought I could only book the last 3 of my first hotel reservation but the very nice CM said I could book the ones for my Poly reservation too under my first reservation, apart from O'hana as it was 11 days out. She also told me I could book O'hana tomorrow, great. I had to phone back again to book The Wave as I had forgotten, and another CM again said it was fine to book under my first hotel reservation and again confirmed I could book O'hana the next day. So I phoned up to book O'hana the next day to be greeted by a rather rude CM who just would not listen to what I had to say. She told me that the second lot of reservations shouldn't have been made and when I tried to ask her something she just started going on and on about how she plays by the rules and does everything by the book and every time I tried to say something she just kept saying the same thing. Eventually I managed to get a word in, to tell her ok I understand the rule and understand I can't book O'hana yet, but just wanted to check my other reservations were still ok and that they would still be valid. Instead of just telling me yes, which was the final outcome, she spent about 5 minutes going on about how they shouldn't have been taking again. I was so frustrated, I had been waiting on hold for nearly 20 minutes to book an ADR which I couldn't actually book, and was then literally shouted at like a kid on the phone for something that was not my fault. After she eventually confirmed our reservations were still valid (and then had to add that they shouldn't be again), she then put on a nice voice and said "Is there anything else I can help you with?"... Um what, no thanks, not from you Mrs :sad2:. I just really hope that when we do get there that they are all ok.

That's when you ask for a supervisor or other caller. I can't stand those kinds of people. I had one argue with me the other night about the Grand Gatherings. She kept saying they could not be booked 180 days out. She did it in a nice way...just bullheaded like she knew everything. So I said, "Honey, are you working in the Grand Gathering department?" She said no so I told her to put me through to them...which is what she should have done to begin with! :sad2: Many times I find out that I know more than a lot of CM's. That should not be the case! Disney needs to train them better!

Yes she was very frustrating. She was treating me like I was arguing with her when I tried to speak but I only wanted to find out if the reservations were still ok. Even when she told me they were she was funny about it.

Awww so sorry to hear you had a rude Dining CM on the phone! I mean come on, they work at the happiest place on Earth, what could they possibly be in a bad mood about?!:confused3

I know, I would be so happy if I worked there :confused3

Sounds like she was on a power trip. I can take her for ya, if you like?? :confused3 Glad you got your ADR for O'hana. I'm STILL contemplating dining. We'll only hit up about 2 table service restaraunts. I want to do CP for breakfast, for sure. Then maybe Tony's for dinner? Or a lunch somewhere?

I have never done CP for breakfast, only for dinner. We enjoyed it both times, but did find the selection wasn't as good the second time. TBH we preferred 1900 PF as both the food and character interaction was better. They still have Tigger and Pooh and then had Alice, Mary Poppins and Mad Hatter who were all very friendly and funny and spent a good deal of time with us on both occasions. And the choice and quality of food is really good too.

Disney Dreams...
... Part 7

Now I said before that DVC may be my most expensive 'Disney Dream', but I actually think it may seem quite cheap compared to my final, and most fairytale 'Disney Dream'...

Disney Dream Number Seven...

Now I will freely admit I have always been one of these girls who has dreamed of having a big fairytale wedding, after all I am a princess at heart princess:. So where better to have a fairytale wedding than the home of fairytales and princesses themselves, and my absolute favorite place on earth.

Disney Dreams...
... Part 8

Now I have let you all into my 7 'Disney Dreams', heres a quick recap of what they were:

1. Visit every Disney Park in the World
2. Stay at every Disney World hotel
3. Stay at the Grand Floridian Resort
4. Stay at the Disneyland Hotel in Paris
5. Eat at every Disney World restaurant
6. Buy into DVC
7. Have a Disney World Fairytale Wedding

I guess I better get working on starting to make these 'Disney Dreams' happen, its going to take a while ;). But here is what I would like to know from you guys...

What Are YOUR Disney Dreams...

Oh, I am totally with you on the getting married at Disney World dream! I think I'd rather go there than have a big wedding. Though it'd probably end up costing the same...

Hmmm, as for my Disney Dreams, that is tough! Maybe have some of my own DVC points? :confused3 I guess right now I really want to just stay at all the DVC resorts at some point.

I'd also really like to go down there for like two weeks. Even though we've taken several trips the past few years it'd be nice to have one longer trip so I could go to the water parks, do some of the other things in FL (like the Kennedy Space Center, Universal again,...) and just not have to rush at all. Ahh I'd love that. :goodvibes

Yes I think if I got married at Disney I would still have the same budget as I would if I got married over here...weddings in the UK are so expensive, the average wedding is around £20k (around $35-40 depending on the exchange rate). I would just get so much more for my money there, like having Minnie and Mickey at my wedding :cloud9:

We usually go to Orlando for around 3 weeks and are still rushing every day. There is just so much to see and do there with all the different parks and attractions, we still haven't seen half of it. I hope you get to spend a bit longer down there soon though, and get your DVC points :thumbsup2

DH and I REALLY looked into having a Disney wedding. I really wanted it! He couldn't have cared less. However, it would have caused way too many problems because we would have wanted a smaller wedding and with my HUGE family, that would have never worked out too well. Too many fights. AND you can't get married there and have it be Catholic. Another issue.

I wish I would have found the DIS boards when we were actually planning a wedding because then I would have been able to find so many ideas on how we could hvae made it work...instead of just relying on information from the Disney wedding site.

So now...I am mentally planning a vow renewal...and we are going to do it now matter what!

I hope I can come to your wedding too!!! Even if it is just by watching from a passing monorail! :rotfl:

You should definitely do a vowel renewal there, it would be great. It would just be like having a whole other wedding, but this time at Disney, it would be magical :cloud9:. I really hope you get too, and of course you can come to my wedding, I would love to have you there :goodvibes

Hey Ariel! I loved your Disney dreams :goodvibes Mine are very similar to yours - to get to visit all the Disney parks, resorts and restaurants. I'd mainly focus on Disney World though, since for some reason I just don't have much interest in Disneyland or the other Disney parks. Of course I'd love to visit them but they don't hold as much magic for me - maybe because they're not as big? Or maybe because they don't have Epcot which is always my favorite part of Disney? Who knows. Either way, I loved your dreams!

I wondered where you were girly :confused3

Yes Disney World I think will be the best, theres just so much to see and do and its just so magical. But you should try and check out the others some day, just to say you have

I'd definitely love to! If I was going to Cali (or China or Paris) it probably wouldn't be my top priority, but I'd definitely stop by for a few days :thumbsup2

DLP isn't as good as WDW but it does have some rides that WDW doesn't and also some of the rides are better as there newer, like Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain, POTC, Haunted Mansion.

I think it would be wonderful if ya'll got married at Dinsey! Could I come!? :goodvibes I didn't even know they did weddings when we got married! If my kids want to marry there I'm all for it! Can you imagine those beautiful cakes? OMG. And Minnie and Mickey there with ya'll? Awwww. :bride:

Something Old, Something New

Now since this is my 5th trip to Disney World, and Nick's 3rd, and often our trips are 2-3 weeks a time, we have decided it is time to spend some time concentrating on the attractions we have yet to do, and all the little things to look out for that we have so far missed. Heres the things I can think of:

Magic Kingdom
Astro Orbiters
Country Bear Jamoboree

Things to look out for
Cinderella's Wishing Well
Lady and the Tramp paw prints

----------

MGM
Nothing

----------

Animal Kingdom
We have done them before but I would like to spend more time looking around the trails around the Tree of Life

----------

Epcot
American Adventure
Turtle Talk with Crush
Innovention's

Things to look out for
All the extra things around the World Showcase that we always seem to miss

----------

Other Parks
The Terminator 4D ~ Universal (I have done this before but it was like 10 years ago)
Most of the rides in Aquatica

I would love to hear any ideas of things we should look out for as I am sure there are lots of things we have missed. Every time I read through a guide book or report I think "We have to check that out", but now I have completely forgotten, so PLEASE give me some ideas.

Now in addition to all the things we have yet to do from before, there are a few new things that have opened since we were last there. We are looking forward to trying some new things, especially with some of the reports I have heard. Heres whats new:
