Cast of Characters: Bonnie (me!) 43, obsessive trip planner
Shane (DH) 45, just rolls with my trip plans!
Shayna (DD) 18, obsessed with all things Disney. Going to university in the fall
Ben (DS) 15, who states that if he has to hug Mickey one more time, he’s going to scream, but I think enjoys himself more than he cares to admit!
Jarrett (DS) 13, who doesn’t really care where we go as long as he isn’t in school!
Day 3:

Monday was our Universal day. We usually stay onsite there, but found the room rates to be ridiculously high so opted to drive there for the day. I was worried about crowds, but it turned out to be a great day and we got to do everything we wanted to do. My DS Ben was able to hook up with his two best buddies from home at Universal for the day. They were also down and were staying in Tampa. Family drove them there and they got to spend the day together. We were really happy for him to have that special time together, although it was really hard to see him walk away from us for the first time. We had walkie talkies so we were able to stay in touch. We met back up around 5:30 and headed out for a bite to eat and then some mall shopping which I had promised the older teenagers. Ate at Sweet Tomatoes and again this trip and it was tasty and a nice change of pace. Fellow Dis’er Big V was kind enough to send me a coupon for 15% off. Thanks Big V!

Finished our meal and headed to Florida Mall. We go here because the kids want to shop at Hollister and Abercrombie & Fitch. They had two hours and needless to say, they went nuts! I can’t believe how expensive that stuff is…just glad it isn’t my $!

Headed back to the resort and everyone was looking forward to our first Disney day!

we have some CHEAP outlet stores in our state....Maine and also in NH...so love to go to those stores ........thanks for your report

I guess we are spoiled with Mall's, but Hollister is way over priced clothes-I refuse to buy anything in the store for my kids. I do what you do, let them spend their money. We do shop though at Aeropostle-same type of clothing, 1/3 the price.

I hear ya OhMari!

Unfortunately, Aeropostle isn't 'cool' enough. Crazy huh!?

June 9 will be our first visit to WDW, so we won't be going to the mall this time, but I'm sure my DD20 will spend plenty of time in the shops at Disney.

The next time she goes probably won't be with family.

Can you recommend some good shopping at WDW?
